Week 3 starts tonight - the Texans play the Panthers. CMC and Darnold are the obvious main attractions here.

Davis Mills starting for the first time can be interesting as well! Maybe gets his game to a slightly higher level now than against Cleveland? Don't care for Houston though.
Hoping for a Panthers victory and at least 2 TDs by CMC.

Nice to see the pregame team heaping praise on McCaffrey like they do for other players. Shockingly no shortage of superlatives being given by Steve Smith and Michael Irvin.

Danny Amendola inactive for Houston with a thigh injury, so not much to root for on their side of the ball

Completely forgot Rex Burkhead was with Houston...
Would be nice if he gets a few carries tonight...

Darn old looking sharp. Sure would have been nice to still have Chris Hogan running deep for him.

Would really like CMC break a long TD run, bump up his ypc up some.

Agreed, I have disliked Thursday night games for awhile - all games should be Sunday+MNF only. The Thursday game is a cash grab by the NFL

Arnold with two should be catches tonight. I hope they pick it up in the 2nd half as Arnold will need to pick up CMCs slack.

Why did they play him all those snaps late in sundays game? Bad player management. CMC is a little prone to injury so why not rest him when the game is more or less won already?

Worse-case news... McCaffrey has been having injury issues lately. Perhaps due to sheer number of snaps taken? He is only around 200 lbs.

Most talented back in the game (Henry is great too) but less is more. He needs fewer reps and better play calling. All too often he must evade a couple defenders before he can even post positive yardage.

Darnold needs to pick up the offense in the 2nd half. Mills was impressive on the last drive of the half. It's a very small sample size but he certainly looks better than I expected.

CMC with a strained hamstring and looking like he will be out for a while...

It's a shame about CMac getting hurt but maybe with a long season it will be a good thing. I believe that the Panthers have what it takes to make the
NFL Playoffs. Yes it's very early but I like what I see. Sam Darnold looks great. He had over 300 yards tonight. Excited to see Erickson in the mix too!

C-Mac's injury is exactly why we as white fans shouldn't be satisfied with one token white running back. Hell, just the existence of the bye week is enough of a reason. Looks like he should be back in a few weeks. Fingers crossed.

On the positive side, Alex Erickson (who started the season on the practice squad and was originally "temporarily" bumped up to return punts) is now officially on the Panthers' 53-man roster. Darnold is looking better and better every week and there should be no question anymore, his struggles with the Jets were the Jets' fault and not his. Morgan Fox on defense had a sack and is listed as a starter; always thought he was somewhat underutilized by the Rams.

Rams starting RB Darrell Henderson is a game time decision. If he doesn't go, all the media reports I'm seeing state that Jake Funk should get some touches behind Sony Michel in the big game against the Bucs. That would be a huge stage for Jake to get some playing time and especially if he excels. Fingers crossed.

And if it happens this way this looks promising for Funk because Michel's legs have a lot of miles on them. Funk should get a good amount of carries and hopefully shine in a high profile game.

Falcons DL John Cominsky is inactive - he is the obvious culprit behind the Falcons piss poor defensive play

Chiefs versus chargers here over the pond on TV.

Good to see Herbert go toe to toe with Mahomes two excellent quarterbacks on show. Mahomes the rare example of a genuine black talent who deserves the hype and plaudits.

Be good to see Kelce and Sorensen shine as ever.

Sam Hubbard gets the hit on Big Ben, the ball deflects and Logan Wilson intercepts it
