Chris Paul came back from his league-imposed COVID vacation to beat up on the Clippers. If I didn't say it in this thread earlier, the "covid" stuff he broke was by going into the stands in Denver to hug his family and entourage at the end of the WC semifinals. I don't understand at all how these NBA prima-donnas don't screech the instant the rulings go against them. They can't keep their mouths shut otherwise.

Oh wait.

Dario Saric tore his ACL in game 1. He averaged just 10 minutes per game in the playoffs for the Suns after being a Sixth Man of the Year finalist this season. Maybe Frank Kaminsky will inherit his minutes.

I never followed Saric very closely - he seems like a very “generic” Euro big with outside range. Unfortunately, he will likely miss most of next season as well.

Brook Lopez had a big game for the Bucks in eliminating the Hawks. Milwaukee will need him to play fast to make a dent against Phoenix’s pace.

So the finals is a few token minutes for Pat Connaughton vs a few token minutes for Frank Kaminsky? Hard pass from me. Sorry guys.

Pat had a pretty good game with 14 points and 7 rebounds on 5/10 shooting. The bucks usually win when he scores double digits. It would be nice if he had the green light to launch at any given time like Holliday and Middleton.

Yes I agree and it's not enough for me to tune in. If I were a black man and a team had 11 whites and 1 black I would also feel the same way. Whites need to learn to support our own people before we go extinct.

Connaughton actually played great off the bench agreed @El Gringo ! Kaminsky initially started off hot as a Sun and they've slowly phased him out. Getting a chance because Saric blew out his knee in Game 1. Stinks Donte D is out for The Bucks. They miss him tremendously.

Pat Connaughton has been averaging 30 minutes a game in The Finals and has responded with averaging over 10pts and 4reb! Last night he continued with 11pts and 9reb as The Bucks even the series at 2-2.

We have to pull for Milwaukee Bucky, only because on Pat! Hope he goes for 20 next game.plus Gianiss seems like a pretty good guy and is a buddy to connaughton. He very well could be involved in a kidnapping/robbery As soon as I post this though!

The guy is totally blessed with athleticism. He could have been a pro pitcher, wr, quarterback or even a bulked up tight end.
When are we going to get a white athlete with Pats body and Steve Nash’s skills? Or “Psycho Luka” with Mason Plumlees body.

We would probably already have it but the people that run this league and other sports do their best to make white guys with ability & athletecism dissapear. Funny how that works.

Mario hezonja comes to mind WL. Skills of psycho luka with the athletisism of Lebron He also had a alpha attitude and being a Euro he didn’t acquiesce to the blacks. Every time he played more than 20 minutes per game he excelled. The basketball version of Rob Konrad.

I'm not plugged into any real insider circles, but I've heard a couple of high-level guys say Casey Jacobsen was the best player they'd ever seen of any race. He could shoot from anywhere, dunk from the foul line, and simply had a relentless will to dominate a game. His profile was probably similar to Brent Barry (another underappreciated and ultimately underutilized star) but, at the risk of throwing around stupid adjectives, more dynamic.

Jacobsen was never going to get the chance to be a lead dog in the NBA, and after his rookie year racial apprenticeship, Jacobsen did not excel as a role player or 'specialist' (for white players, that's code for spot-up 3-point shooter) and was cast off the to fringes of various NBA rosters. He eventually landed in Germany and brought MVP performances and multiple championships to an otherwise average franchise. His number is retired there.

Here's part 2 of 3 of his career biopic - the whole thing is worth the watch.

Finished with 14pts and 6rebounds! Bucks win Game 5!

I wish they had other guys just like him but I'm so happy he is getting a chance to shine in the NBA Championship. The Bucks
are only one win way from being crowned world champs. Too bad Divencio isn't playing.

Really bummed Donte D is out, but if they win he'll get a ring along with Sam Merrill!

I forgot about Casey, great find Phall. He definitely Could have carved out a Reggie Miller like career at the very least. To confident for the brothers. I bet he had a great time over in Germany though.

Problem is he only would have taken minutes from Pat. When Donte was playing pat was down at about 15 per game. Happy for Pat though!

Valid point, I'm hoping they can figure out how to keep him on the court next season when Donte D is back and healthy.

So far Connaughton is leading all players with made 3s in The Finals! I'm expecting another great performance off the bench for him tonight in a Bucks win!

Congrats Bucky and anyone else from Wisconsin. I just can't support an NBA Finals where both teams had 1 white guy play here and there. That
is how bad things have gotten in this final. I've never been more uninterested with an NBA Finals in my life. I will only watch when we have enough
of our guys playing. I know Saric got hurt for the Suns and Divenczio for the Bucks but even then it would be 2 out of 12 guys on the roster of each team.

I hope next year will be more fair. The NBA Draft does have me excited as more and more of our guys are entering the NBA.

Here's part 2 of 3 of his career biopic - the whole thing is worth the watch.

I remember the first time I heard of Casey Jacobsen. I was in the LA airport and picked up a newspaper, and saw that the LA Times had selected him as Player of the Year for Southern California. A lot of big names had won that award before him - Baron Davis, Tayshaun Prince, Paul Pierce, etc. So I really took note of him!
He went to Stanford, and I was living in the area, so I got to see him a lot. He was fantastic!
Later, I couldn't understand why he hadn't made it in the NBA. I didn't follow the NBA closely at that time, but I knew Casey definitely had the talent to succeed.

What's also interesting is that the runner-up to Casey in the LA Times Player of the Year voting, was another white kid, Jason Kapono.
In college, he was very good, but Casey was better.
However, Kapono was able to have a fairly long and successful career in the NBA as a 3 point specialist, whereas Jacobsen didn't have much of a career.
Perhaps, as someone mentioned, he didn't want to be a one-dimensional player because he knew he was better than that.
What a shame!

I agree they are blacking out the NBA Finals. We need more of our guys involved

I'm happy Milwaukee won, first time In 50 years. No Steph, no Lebron also a bonus.

Grasping at straws but Connaughton had 8 boards last night and Kaminsky chipped in 6 points when called upon. He should have been playing the whole series, Phoenix may have had more of a chance.

I watched the game and was glad that the Bucks won. However, it is disappointing that bug-eyed Bobby Portis was one of the “heroes.” He famously sucker-punched and broke the face of his White teammate Nikola Mirotic. That ultimately drove Mirotic out of the NBA and back to Europe. Now, Portis looks to get a sizable payday in free agency.
