Robert Lewandowski has clearly been robbed of the Ballon D’Or

Lewandowski has 51 goals in 43 matches. He’s set numerous Bundesliga records and he’s led Bayern to a couple of trophies already. The Champions league title in sight and without any doubt, Lewy has been the greatest 9 in the world for several years running.

One factor is that Bayern has underperformed in the Champions League in recent seasons, eliminated in the Round of 16 by English clubs in the last two seasons.

No offense but Bayern has lost to the eventual champion in each of the last three CL’s and absolutely robbed vs Real. 4 semis out of the past seven season though that isn’t good enough in my opinion. So I agree the results haven’t been up to standard.

However Bayern’s success in the champions league has absolutely no bearing on Lewandowski not getting the Ballon D’Or. The committee has decided not give the the award at all this season!

Which is absurd and unheard of and hasn’t happen before. Lewy was the hands on favorites by almost every unbiased person in the world.
