I hope they draft Jordan Love. The hype on him has cooled down quite a bit (I'm no longer seeing him as a top 10 pick on most mock drafts) and what better way to see the end of a dynasty than being spearheaded by a black quarterback. He'll be the face of failure for a rebuilding team.

I think they stick with Stidham/Hoyer and maybe take another third day QB depending on the value but I wouldn't put it past Belichek - he did draft Brissett after all. I seriously doubt Winston or Newton will end up in New England which is another story the media has been floating around. Much like Haskins last year - Jordan Love is the benefactor of QBing while black. I really do not think Tagiolova will be anything special, he won't live up to the projected 2nd overall pick he is expected to be - another media hyped up player.

I know Newton is not a free agent yet so it will be interesting to see where he ends up but the fact no team tried to trade for him to secure the rights to him speaks alot about him and how he is viewed. Winston being a free agent who has received no interest as of yet is also pretty comical considering how hyped up he was in college and by BSPN etc.

Also am I crazy to think Kyle Allen is probably a better fit in the Carolina offense than dink and dunk Teddy? Allen has his warts but he played pretty decent considering the path he took to the NFL.

The Patriots should trade for Andy Dalton. He's available pretty much dirt cheap at this point. He's a good quarterback who's still in his prime and should thrive with the Patriots. He may not be a long-term answer but would be a darn good bridge QB for several years.

Acquiring Dalton would be a good way to go for the Patriots.

They could follow that up by drafting one of the interesting prospects available in this draft. Jacob Eason and Jake Fromm are projected to go in rounds 2 or 3. Anthony Gordon, Cole McDonald and James Morgan are projected to be available in later rounds. All seem like good prospects. Maybe they'll get lucky the way the Jaguars did last year with Gardner Minshew.

If they did draft Love and he fails there would be endless, unfavorable comparisons to what came before...

Clay Matthews and Derek Wolfe still available. Any other guys anyone can think of ?

A popular landing spot I've seen for Love is Indy Early 2nd RD. He's a poor man's Jameis Winston.

Also agree Pats should aquire Dalton by any means necessary at this point. I could see him turning it around like Tannehill did with a fresh start. Plus he'd still have Edelman!

@Bucky - Adam Gostis is still available too. Fangio is a caste clown who decided to purge two quality white DL from his roster.

Forgot about Gotsis. Another promising DE, needs to stay healthy. I was pleasantly surprised when he was taken in 2nd Rd Pre Fangio era.

Just saw that the Panthers signed the xfl black quarterback Philip Walker.

CMac should demand a trade. Carolina has turned into a dumpster fire this off-season.

*Rhule just traded Kyle Allen to Redskins. Good for Allen to get the hell outta Carolina.

**Redskins got rid of 5 affletes in their secondary today, should be good news for Apke?

Carolina trading Allen was stupid. He showed some promise for his first year starting. PJ Walker is already a proven failure at the NFL level, plus he's undersized. . I guess Carolina doesn't want any white quarterbacks.

Yup it's clear the direction they're headed in.

I saw many slobbering BSPN pieces on Walker back in the good old days (like last month) when I was able to go to the gym. It was over-the-top, as you would expect. He's the XFL Patrick Mahomes! Uh, I don't think he's at Deshone Kizer's level.

It doesn't make sense for the Patriots to rush and get a veteran like Dalton or Newton with an expiring contract. There's a huge advantage in having a cheap young quarterback since the 2011 CBA. The Patriots should give Stidham the job for the entire season. If he succeeds they'll have an ultra cheap QB contract for the next three years. If he fails, they should have a bad record and get a top 10 or top 15 pick in the 2021 draft to get a QB.

I like the Allen signing by the Redskins. He's a year older than Haskins and had a much better performance last season than Haskins. He also has a year of experience under his belt with the new Redskins OC. A few other minor signings - 49ers Sign LB Joe Walker, Bears re-sign DE Brent Urban and the Patriots signed DB Cody Davis (the one referred to as a "unicorn" by Steve Smith during an NFL Network pregame segment).

Agreed on Allen.

Regarding Cody Davis, he has performed really well whenever he’s been allowed to play defense. Unfortunately that has been very rare. I fear the Pats are just bringing him in to replace Nate Ebner as the designated WSTD.

I agree with you and logically it makes sense. I think Belichek's ego and legacy are on the line now post-Brady. He is entrenched with his "Patriot Way" and Brady was embodiment of the culture from it's inception 20 years ago. The Patriots have been a mediocre organization at building their team through the draft and Belichek - many of us have brought up that fact over the past few years. I think the shortcomings last year of team building around Brady are what killed the team. I'll always appreciate those Pats teams that featured Brady, Welker, Woodhead, Edelman, Hogan, Amendola, Gronk, Burkhead - over the past 20 year run no other team has allowed so many white skill position players an opportunity to excel and show that whites are just as good if not better than their black counterparts. The very fabric that made up the Pats organization has been ignored year in and year out during the draft though pretty much during the whole tenure of Belichek in New England. They could very well have another very laughable draft this season.

Margus Hunt. Some say he is a bust but I think he wasted away on some pretty bad teams . He was pretty raw coming out of college.

Nice forgot about Hunt. Along with Wolfe and Gotsis available there is still some talent along DL for us.

Matthews should get scooped up soon.

Newton should never be signed by any team, he is not very good even when healthy. Who wants a poster boy for your team who dresses like a "disco era pimp" wearing makeup and womens high heels?

And not diving head first onto a loose ball in the super bowl.....
How can anyone do that?......Real football players do that in the pre season......

Newton and Winston remaining unwanted so far is the best news of this NFL period of FA signings and trades. Of course Andy Dalton is still with the Bengals when he can be had cheap. What it shows is how strong the league actually is at the quarterback position, the opposite of what the fake news sports media is always whining about. It's black dominated positions that are lacking, especially defensive backfields, but the first time that's mentioned will be the first time ever.

One of the current mainstream media's narratives is that Marcus Mariota will beat out Derek Carr to be the starter. Anything to promote the replacement of a white man at quarterback. Carr has proven that he's a good NFL starter and a better QB than Mariota. Mariota has little chance to beat him out. But the DWF fans and sports media guys live in an anti-white dreamworld where all white players are bad and inferior...

Oh the controversy. I disagree though, Hill is a much more powerful and tough player. I also highly doubt Jackson has ever been asked to be a Gunner on special teams making tackles!

Good to hear from Brady Poppinga though!
