I hope Andrew Luck doesn't sink that far. I'd like to see him make a comeback to the NFL in a couple of years.

Hope this is the good kind of getting off-topic (talking about white QBs on the black QB thread). ;)

Seven of the the top 10 QB's in Fantasy football points are black. That may be unprecedented. There are a couple of reasons for it, fantasy football rewards QB's that run, and some of the usual top White QB's are out, Brees and Rothleisberger. I expect the number of blacks at the top to shrink as the season goes on the new young White guys get some games under their belts, but it's definitely something for the black supremacists to cheer about.

The first week where Jackson looked MVP like everybody he connected with looked like Saturday morning touch football open, the safeties were never to be seen and the cornerbacks looked like 40 year old guys covering 20 year olds.

That's exactly how he looked last night against the Rams, which has led the "hype train" to get really out of hand, particularly "Dried Nasal Mucus McFardland" from ESPN. I actually unlocked ESPN last night on my TV to watch the game, but watched very little of it and had the "mute" button on. I wonder if McFarland has ever heard of Jackie Slater?

Long before there was a clown named Tony McFarland in the booth at ESPN, there was a Rams' legend named Jackie Slater doing NFL commentary. He was much brighter, a bit more articulate and not remotely as militantly anti-white as Tony McFarland. Nonetheless, at the end of Rams/Titans Super Bowl, Slater looked straight into the camera and said something like this (don't recall the exact words): "The Rams might've stopped McNair one yard short today, but that young man will be back and even better. McNair, and other quarterbacks like him, are the future of the game and no one can stop that. There will be no room for the same type of traditional, drop-back quarterback that played during my career (1976-1995). That ERA is over, McNair and others like him are the future".

Okay, Slater is long gone from the public eye. If he's still broadcasting, I don't where? For some context, nine months prior to that Super Bowl, NFL teams selected 3 black quarterbacks among the top 11 picks in the 1999 NFL Draft. Two other black quarterbacks (Shaun King & Aaron Brooks) were "handed" starting jobs early in their career, so it seemed Slater's prediction was going to come true, whether anyone else liked it or not! Add to that, white first round quarterback's like Tim Couch, Cade McNown, Jim Druckenmiller, ex-N.C. congressman Heath Shuler and Ryan Leaf looked like "relics" from a former, outdated era and total busts. After turning around his career, even Trent Dilfer was flopping and benched. Dozen's of whites drafted after round one from 1994 to 1999 offered very little hope. Aside from Jake Plummer, it was an endless string of nobodies like Danny Wuerffel, Stony Case, Eric Zeier, Danny Kanell, Dave Barr, Jeff Lewis, Pat Barnes, Perry Klein, Doug Nussmeier, Chad May, Steve Stenstrom and Brock Huard, who were clearly lost in the utter avalanche of "affletic quarterbacks" coming out!

If you believed Hall of Fame offensive tackle/former Fox broadcaster Jackie Slater and the overwhelming evidence at the time, white quarterbacks would have been a small minority by the year 2009, perhaps? Did it happen?

_______________

Below, I posted this regarding veteran New York Times writer and ESPN race agitator William Rhoden in another thread this year. Does it sound familiar to what we are discussing today in the year of the black quarterback? I think 1999 or 2000 was the last year of the black quarterback and how long did that last?

According to Rhoden, "athletically superior blacks" have been on the verge of "taking over the quarterback position" since the mid-1990's, or even prior? That group included Kordell, Philanderer McNair, Jeff Blake, Randall Cunningham, Warren Moon, Rodney Peete, Tony Banks, Charlie Batch and dozens of other enormous upsiders in high school and college at that time that were deemed ultra athletic and future NFL prospects that never did much -- Akili Smiff, Aaron Brooks, Marques Tuiasosopo, Spergeon Wynn, Henry Burris, Quincy Carter, Micheal Bishop, Tee Martin, Five-Star phenom Chris Lewis (Stanford) the list can go on and on. The Don King of Dog Fighting (Vick), Duante Culpepper and "Big Don" (McNabb) were good to varying degrees, but none really changed the position.

Back in 2000, 4 of the 6 starting quarterbacks in the NFC playoffs where black: McNabb; Shaun King; Jeff Blake and Duante Culpepper. Was almost 5/6... Actually should have been 5/6, as Charlie Batch and the Lions barely missed making it after losing to a bad Bears team in the final week by a field goal. In the AFC you had only one black quarterback make the playoffs -- McNair, who led his squad to the Super Bowl in 1999. Kordell and the Steelers, like Detroit, barely missed. So that was 5/12 Upsiders in the 2000 playoffs. Very easily could've been 7 of 12 and I'm sure Rhodent types thought white quarterbacks would soon be extinct then. None made it to the Super Bowl that year and very few have made it since 2000.

This is nothing new, Gentlemen and Lurkers.

several posters have questioned why NFL defenses don’t adjust to preferred Run-Pass-Option that so many black quarterbacks are running. well, it’s not because a working template doesn’t exist, because it does.

in the video below, Urban Meyer details how Iowa’s outstanding defense handles the RPO, and in the game he mentions (Iowa-Minnesota), Iowa completely shut down the Gophers’ running portion of the game, and dared the qb to win via the pass. the result? Iowa only gave up 19 points in a win, and the opposing qb threw for only 1 score (although he did get garbage time passing stats).

so, the question remains, why don’t NFL defenses do this?

Having never played organized football I won't pretend to act like a coach who knows all of the x and o(s) or every detail regarding assignment football.

That said I have been a long time super fan and have enough knowledge to generalize on what is going on.

The first thing is that the appearance of a player like Lamar has been in the making for years. The way these all black defenses are put together with the high school camps and their over reliance on the 40 yard dash and such all the way through college where the touch and tickle has replaced smash mouth football it paved the way for a QB to prance around unfettered week after week.

Show me a defense with 5 or 6 white players and we might be singing a different song. Linebackers like Urlacher and Lambert would send a message to Lamar early in a game that punishment is your reward for running. And I am not talking head shots. Albeit if Lamar was white you could bet the house he would have been skulled a few times by now.

Todd McShay types think the 40 yard dash actually applies to DEs when it reality it is the first 10 yards that mean anything. Quickness is much more important than a sprint. You don't see many Randy White types at DT either these days. Mainly slow sluggish thick types. The black DBs of today are generally clueless with many who don't like to tackle. And so many of them can't tackle anyway.

The black linebackers of today are usually oversized safeties who impress the media with their 40 yard dash times which is rendered useless when they get wrong footed which is often. They can't properly diagnose the plays and they tackle with a feathery touch.

So all of these factors play into the way the NFL wants to market their football where so much is geared towards making black offensive stars heroes. And Lamar is a beneficiary.

The key to beating their offense is to force them into their weakest area. For the Ravens it is trying to get them third and long and forcing Lamar to throw from the pocket to his wide receivers. Their WRs are mediocre at best and the weakest link of their offense. Media hero rookie Brown is a one trick pony who can run down the field with big speed. Kind of a poor man's Brandin Cooks. The rest of the crew have practice squad talent.

The Ravens rely on a tough grinding running game. With two starting all pro lineman ( one white one black) and a punishing FB in Picard who was also an all pro they set everything up from this running attack. Their RB Ingram is a tough hard nosed runner and the opposite of the pretty boy type the Giants employ. Lamar is quick and fast and shifty and makes for a great change up to the north south Ingram.

Which gets me to their secret weapons their outstanding TE fleet. Here is what gives defenses their true headaches. In Andrews they essentially have a big WR who can bust teams down the seam. He has great hands and instincts. Ex baseball player Hurst is one of the better athletes in all of the NFL. Powerful and fast ( which he displayed the other week by outrunning a DB into the end zone) Hurst is yet another matchup nightmare. Then you have a savvy veteran in Doyle who knows where the soft spots are on defense.

Put all these factors together and you can see why the Ravens have been successful this season. So even if you force Lamar to pass from the pocket those tight ends could end up killing you.

Do I think they will win the Super Bowl? No. I still think their lack of wide receiver talent and Lamar's true throwing ability will show up down the road. Then again Mark Andrews came up through high school as a wide receiver so what really is he?

As if the “Year of the Black Quarterback” was not enough. Former Jets GM, Mike (aptly named) Tannenbaum, doubled down on ESPN this morning. He proposed that the Ravens draft Jalen Hurts and field a two black quarterback backfield. Not a platoon system, but design an offense where they are both in the backfield together...

As you know the Saints employ a double QB backfield from time to time when they line up Taysom Hill in the backfield.

There are two narratives going on with this whole Lamar Jackson frenzy.

The first is the NFL is trying to figure out if this is the wave of the future or is it an offense that is a little too limited to go all the way? A close inspection of the Ravens stresses the importance of having a strong run oriented offensive line to go along with a punishing running back and a fleet of versatile top tier tight ends. This helps enable Jackson to do his thing.

The second narrative is focused on race. We have seen the media hysteria and articles specifically highlighting the idea that this new wave QB (which we have seen before but no matter) is because of special talents that only blacks possess.

There has been much talk here at CF as to whether CM's success will open up the gates for other white running backs. Well to turn that question around if this Jackson experiment becomes successful will more white Quarterbacks follow suit?

Which is why Ole Miss QB John Rhys Plumlee is of great importance here because if he is able to develop enough with his QB skills he would blast a big whole in that second "only blacks can do it" narrative.

Since the look of the Ravens offense is a bit different from the past people are still trying to sort things out. But if this does catch on I anticipate not just black copy cat dual threat QBs trying to join the fray but white QBs of similar ilk as well. Which would destroy the pernicious racist based narrative.

It is not as if we haven't seen a white QB from the past who fits this new wave mold like Heisman Trophy winner Eric Crouch with his 4.4 40 yard dash speed.

Yes, but Eric Crouch wasn't allowed to play quarterback in the NFL. Same with Matt Jones, Tim Tebow and others. The league will never allow White "Lamar Jackson types" any more than it will allow numerous White running backs and cornerbacks. Which is why Taysom Hill will never be used as more than a gimmick.

White QBs with great running ability must always use that talent secondarily, not primarily, ala Josh Allen. As long as they are good passers first they'll have a chance, which is why Plumlee must become a very good passer if he has any hope of playing quarterback at the next level.

If you go way back when there were virtually only White quarterbacks, the late Norris Weese was a run first option qb, I only recall him because I remember watching a copy of SB XII and he was brought into the game because of either an injury to Craig Morton or because the game was a blowout. He ran the option in the SEC and this was just when the SEC was first integrated in football and Blacks weren't allowed to play qb in this conference.

PS, he still holds the Denver single game rushing record for qb's, strange considering Elway was a dynamic runner in the Josh Allen mould(but he ran more selectively)......https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norris_Weese

> ESPN doing hour long show #YearoftheBlackQB The round table discussion is saying "Black QB's less margin for error ...your either great ...can't just be average"

....this is exactly what i (we) have been saying about White players on Defense. Your either a Super Star ; fringe Pro Bowler; or it's to the bench for whitey. But I credit black coaches like David Shaw giving Christian McCaffrey & Dennis Thurman at USC with Jason Sehorn at CB. White coaches tend to eat their own??

Then it was said "If 3rd or 4th grade See someone that looks like you; inspires you at QB on TV...don't switch positions "
"Take Over the League...have 20 Black Starting QB's" Ready or not here we come"
"They Didn't want black MLB's or black Free Safeties...now Defenses are All black " (woman smiles); WR's all black
https://twitter.com/TheUndefeated/status/1226584550236618752

Back in the day Steve Young & Rich Gannon were the closest white QB's "Dual threat" QB's ; as was Mark Brunell early in his career

Would have been interesting to see Eric Crouch get the "Lamar Jackson opportunity" to fit the system around him. But he didn't throw as much as run-oriented Nebraska as passing school Louisville.
The fact that Tim Tebow is not at least a Back up QB is laughable ...

Theundefeated can go f*ck themselves. The finest example of the pure hypocrisy in media/journalism when it comes to race in this country - I am glad here we all see the one way "conversation" as it applies to race in this country. They won't dig through the weeds though - the majority of players may be black but a majority of them are also mediocre and have a system in place to protect them rather than allowing for fair competition. It's not that hard to have all black defenses when white players do not get a fair shake.

Agreed. Can't stand that site. Just like anything in modern society anything deemed "too white" needs to be drastically changed. Whereas adding diversity, means an instant upgrade.

In this case diversity just means Black or Poly. Not truly diverse as they don't give a damn about Hispanic or Asian Athletes.

Watson 333 495 67.3 3,852 7.8 256.8 54 26 12

Can someone help me out here? Why does "game manager" Jimmy G have near identical passing numbers to superstar afflete black quarterback Deshaun Watson? Watson is repeatedly described in the same breath as the likes of Mahomes, Rodgers without ever having an elite caliber season. He would've been outduelled by Josh Allen in the playoffs if it wasn't for a horrible call when Buffalo were in field goal range to win. Watson is overhyped and overrated by the media because they want to push their black quarterback agenda. This here is a prime example of it.

The media are routinely pushing a big 3 of Mahomes, Jackson, Watson to replace the likes of Brady, Brees , Brees, Ben as they're on the verge of retirement. They want all the young promising QBs to be black. The promising season of Gardner Minshew? Ignored, irrelevant. What did Kyler Murray do in his rookie season that Minshew didn't?

Lets compare them two statistically:

STATS: CMP% YDS AVG YDS/G LNG TD INT
Minshew 60.6 3,271 7.0 233.6 70 21 6
Murray 64.4 3,722 6.9 232.6 88 20 12

Why was Gardner Minshew not considered for Rookie of the Year? In the media the argument was Kyler or Josh Jacobs. Gardner had a very similar season statistically to Murray but one key detail distinguishes him from Kyler, he isn't black

http://www.nfl.com/voting/rookies/2019/YEAR/0

Above you can see not only the nominees for ROTY but previous rookie of the week winners. Gardner won it 7 times to Murray's 1 but he wasn't even nominated? Its absolutely ludicrous.

Great post. Minshew and Daniel Jones were both better than Kyler Murray this year. Another thing to remember is Murray had the advantage of playing in the same system he did in college but Jones and Minshew had to learn new systems.

What I see in the Minshew murrey comparision is aside from the obvious white/negro is 21/6 vs 20/12..nuff said.

just bet against most of negro quarterbacks, proof is in the pudding as the general public has no clue how many bad decisions these blacks make, Cam Newton has been an ATM machine going against him so i welcome the opportunity for a team to bring him in as their starter so i can invest my money on his low IQ

2012: RG3 (not in the league anymore)
2013: Kaepernick (not in the league anymore)
2014: None I guess? Still riding the Scam, Wilson, and Kaepernick train.
2015: Winston (might not even have a job anymore)
2016: Prescott (now well below average)
2017: Watson (now below average)
2018: Mahomes

Anybody else seeing a pattern here? The media and DWF/cuck fans need a black QB every year to continue to push and glorify black QBs as a whole, get more pushed into college scholarships, then to the NFL etc. Expect Mahomes to only go down from here, maybe even be out of the league in half a decade. Also expect Lamar Jackson, if he’s not completely inept to ever start, be in this long line of players in 2019/20.
notice the mixed QBs are better than a full blooded negro QBs, certainly money to be made betting against these guys at good prices. What does DWF mean?

Welcome Woke White.

A DWF is a Castefootball original term meaning drunk white fan. In other words, the masses of mindless, deracinated whites who frequent football games and imbibe in the black superiority myth.

needed that laugh with all that is going on, thanks Freethinker! That cuck got exactly what he deserved putting his money on Mike Tomlin -7.5 in a playoff game vs the Jaguars. Funny thing about Mike Tomlin this past season is that everyone said he did such a great job but in reality the Steelers were 8-5, needing only 1 more win to secure a playoff spot and lost their last 3 games (all as 2.5-3 point favorites). That was one of the worse collapses in recent memory from a point spread view which is as unbiased as you can get.

Hopefully he is out of the league for good now. Weenieworld with it's predicable dig at Peterman in the process. Hate to break it to them but their are alot more black teacher's pets than white ones in the league:

Raiders waived QB DeShone Kizer.
Claimed off waivers following final cuts last summer, Kizer's Vegas fate was sealed after the Raiders signed Marcus Mariota. Teacher's pet Nathan Peterman will remain behind as a camp arm. Although Kizer is still only 24, he has yet to put anything good on film since entering the league as the No. 52 overall pick of the 2017 draft. He could have trouble finding backup work for 2020.

Kizer to Seattle calling it now.

I noticed a CBS writer was whining the other day because Jameis and Cam have been neglected during Free Agency. Very bitter at their treatment lol.
