I think they're trying to kill him. He's been in on 100% of offensive stats in 3 of their games and missed a couple in the other. That's crazy. They can put someone else in on 3rd and really long or at the end of the half or garbage time. He spends a good amount of time crashing into lineman helping out blocking. That's dumb and no one else does that.

Ron Rivera is coaching for his job this year. He knows McCaffrey, Olsen and Kuechly are his best players and will use them like there’s no tomorrow.

An interesting segment all around, including the personal story that Reggie Bush shared about Christian and his brothers.... Time and time again, it seems like these guys are the fairest out there when it comes to discussing white athletes.

All four agreed that Christian McCaffrey is currently the best RB in the NFL.

This is probably the main reason why you see Whites in "black positions" or events in track and field. If you had a dad or the rare mother who did the sport or event he knows what it takes to make it and he will have the eye to spot the raw talent.

Of course a work ethic is needed to make it too, growing up in affluence can take off the edge to make it, especially in a brutal sport like football in probably the most brutal position besides center or nose tackle.

after 5 games McCaffery leads league in rushing with 587 yards, Kuechly leads league in tackles with 56. On a side note, Cooper Kupp is number 4 in receiving yards with 505, McCaffery number 42 with 279.

McCaffrey is the dude that got me back into football. Not to mention with the by story of Kuechley and Allen. Great stuff in Carolina.

There is quite a bit of buzz on the internet right now about McCaffrey being a legit. candidate for MVP. The consensus is that it will go to a qb since a rb has not won it since 2012.
I am not preaching anything new here but I am not worried about how much Carolina is relying on this kid. If he gets injured he gets injured. I don't want that but I have been waiting for someone like him to come along since I started following football in 1986.
I guess the elephant in the room is do the Panthers go back to Cam when he is ready or do they stay with Allen who at best has been serviceable?
My best guess is C-MAC keeps getting the ball and the Panthers stay with Allen and Newton becomes an afterthought and traded away at the end of the season for a couple of third rounders. Maybe its plausible.
The only way I see C-MAC winning the MVP against " Mahomie" is if he continues to get the ball and stays uninjured. If he breaks Chris Johnson's record of yards from scrimmage he has a chance. If Cam comes back and plays who knows if his ego is going to get in the way of C-MAC's progress?

Allen has been much better than "at best serviceable." He's 3-0 with a 7-0 TD to interception ratio, a 66.7 percent completion percentage and a 107.4 QB rating. All of his victories have been on the road. He's been excellent so far.

Yeah I'm not worried about how much they use him either. Let him have a monster season that's memorable for everyone. With how popular fantasy football is everyone knows how good he is.

The career for a RB can be short and you never know what could happen next year. His role could mysteriously diminish. There could be a coaching change and who knows what could happen. I'm jaded because I've seen numerous White athletes tear it up only to have their role diminish. I don't expect it to be as extreme in this case but I can see it being reduced .

If you look at the last game Cam Newton played, Christian's stats were extremely poor for his ability. I'm guessing it was after the fantasy football comments Cam made.

Newton had 51 pass attempts and Christian had 2 catches I believe. Now I didn't see that game but it surely seems like the coordinator was trying to appease Newton's ego.

Common sense would be to keep Christian as the focal point of the offense as Allen grows more comfortable into the position. It would also make sense to stick with Allen even after Newton is healthy but I don't think that will happen.

Yeah, when Cam gets back, Christian's numbers will go down. I hope to see Christian cash in now in terms of rushing and receiving yards, especially rushing.

How pathetic and misguided is it that Carolina is 3-0 without Scam at QB, Allen is playing great, McCaffrey is playing great, the whole team is clicking, yet when Scam gets healthy they may jeopardize the team's success just to placate Newton's massive ego and the sense of entitlement of his black and DWF fans who will be outraged if Newton isn't immediately reinserted as the starter immediately.

well, 6 games, 618 yards rushing. Apparently he hurt his back last week when he did that flip, so he was not 100 percent today against Tampa. Next week is their bye so he gets a chance to rest up.

Hopefully they pick winning over the Cam Newton show. We will see.

It was probably moreso the jet lag. I didn't expect him to have a good game for that reason.

I think he didn't have a good game running because there were no holes. No RB is going to get yards if there are no creases to hit. Tampa Bay stacked the box and Allen made them pay so that's another thing a great back does for you.

ESPN article. "Kyle Allen, Christian McCaffrey make history to keep Panthers winning" by
David Newton 10/6/19

"McCaffrey.....with 237 total yards, the No. 8 pick in the 2017 NFL draft became the first player since Jim Brown in 1963 to total 175 plus yards from scrimmage in four of a seasons first five games. His 866 total in five games is second all time through the first five games, behind Brown's 988 in 1963 and ahead of O.J. Simpson's 861 in 1973. McCaffrey is the fifth player in NFL history to have more than 800 yards from scrimmage in his first five games."

ESPN.com article "Christian McCaffrey's unlikely MVP bid hinges on Panthers' success" by David Newton 10/16/19

Through 6 games, McCaffrey, "The eighth pick of the 2017 draft is on pace for 2,461 yards from scrimmage, which would be the second most in NFL history behind the 2,509 yards Chris Johnson gained for Tennessee in 2009."

I wonder how Amadola is feeling about his ex being with CMAC? Probably indifferent. Danny can get a similar hot Latina.

It was good to hear the entire Fox crew singing the praises of CMac today...and all agreed that if he stays injury-free and keeps going like he is he will be the MVP of the league!

From The Twitter of Will Bryan about McCaffrey.

"It's his sixth Game of the first eight with at least 150 scrimmage yards.
He ties Jim Brown(1963) and Matt Forte (2011) as the only players with 150 scrimmage yards in six of the first eight games of a season."
