The city of Louisville is home to some of the last vestiges of America 1.0, Churchill Downs and the Louisville Slugger bat company. Their football team is not one of them.

Since 2005 Louisville has started 6,5,5,5,6,5,4,4, 1, 2, 1, 2, and 1 white players with no write up done in 2015. Should be about 2-3 this year depending on how the batter for Center shakes out.

Offense
Cole Bentley - C*
Tyler Haycraft - RT
Robbie Bell - RG

Always one of the blackest teams in college football, only thing that’ll make me tune in is to see UNC grad transfer Thomas Jackson. Jackson had 8 TD’s in his UNC career playing in the slot. I feel like he could’ve picked a better school to transfer to since Louisville has a lot of upperclassmen and experienced receivers, not to mention he’s the “odd” man out.

TE - Ean Pfiefer Started last night vs. Notre Dame

And semi-stunned ....2nd Team on Defense ....RS Soph. Free Safety Jack Fagot (pronounced fuh GO )...he wore #38 ; can't remember the last time Louisville ever played a white DB. This team ranked as near (or at) the Top least diverse teams on Defense over the past decade.

Also on 2nd Team ...MLB TJ Holl ....but dont remember seeing him play (did not watch 100% of the game)

Isaac Martin 2nd Team H-Back (Fullback)

Ourlads missed all of this

I noticed through doing the write-ups that ourlads is incredibly unreliable. I tried to get my information from media articles from team reporters which were way more accurate. I stopped trusting ourlads when I looked at their Texas Tech depth chart and the starting middle linebacker since 2016 wasn’t even listed on there. That’s why I love when the teams finally release their depth charts, always bound to be some surprises!

However when the season gets going and they update it then it gets a little more accurate but by that time we pretty much know who is where.

Same here. I try to be as accurate as possible by reading projection from fan sites and also using ourlads. The write ups are never going to be 100% correct and it would be too much of a chore to do 120+ teams in the days leading up to the start of the season and moving on into the season. Considering it was 4 or 5 of us doing pretty much every write up we did a damned good job with the resources we had. And I agree once the season comes along it is nice to see a few surprises.

This might be better in the Michigan thread but I wanted to follow the line of discussion. First off I thought everyone did a fantastic job with the write ups. But sure depending on your sources things can be a little inaccurate. But no big deal.

But take Michigan for example which I wrote up. As far as I could tell only DE stud in the making Aidan Hutchinson would pretty much be the lone white defender out there. Then I see former back up FB Ben Mason playing D along with former S Jordan Glasgow who appeared to be lining up on the line of scrimmage. So some things are hard to gauge.
