I believe tomorrow the practice squad players will start being signed along with the rosters churning. Hopefully we see some of our guys cut end up on other teams regular roster.

Kiko Alonso gets cut in lieu of being traded! Good news for him is that Raiders really want him, they even have room after cutting Brandon Marshall. I guess the upside to being an antiquated head coach like John Gruden is that you make personal decisions reflecting the NFL of the past decade!

McCaffrey made it partly because his parents subtly indicated that they would call out the system if he didn't. His mother's comment that she and Ed were together to "breed fast white guys" probably meant more than we know.
This and he is probably among the greatest prospects ever, as for White backs I have only seen 2 or 3 as good as him in terms of being a scat back. Watch highlights of Jon Arnett who may get into the hall as a veterans committee selection this year with 10 seniors candidates and you would think you are watching McCaffrey's clone.

I guess that's what it's going to take to get more white RB's in the league. You're going to have to be at least at McCaffrey's level or beyond to get a chance and or have a father that played in the NFL. The latter being the biggest reason he's in the NFL, as there have been others with his skill set that didn't make it.
Not too many of those coming down the pipe?

Before I throw in my two cents I just don't understand a lot of things in life. The NFL Network that rattles on 24/7 about football on days like July 4th couldn't put together a special two - three hour segment yesterday at 4:00 PM to go over the all important 53 man rosters? They could have looped the segment and replayed it several times through the night and even today. What were they showing instead? Reruns of some dead preseason games. Unbelievable. Even this morning they barely mentioned the 53 man rosters.

Maybe I am in the minority although I sense Red raider feels OK about things but overall I thought things worked out about as well as one would hope for realistically speaking. Of course there were more than a dozen "kill shots" but this was one of the better results I can recall recently. The caveat being some of these players might be short term residents but for now I am somewhat pleased. Hell the Packers as mentioned elsewhere cleaned up real good and Ty Summers is a world class athlete.

FootballDad was right unfortunately as WR Cody Thompson didn't make the roster. My biggest disappointment was Texans S Chris Johnson not making it but I am confident he will be placed on the practice squad. That doesn't erase the agony. I hope the Bills keep WR Sills on their practice squad.

But there were some key players who made it through. Important caste busting types that are on my leaderboard which are naturally S Troy Apke ( Redskins) and WR Scott Miller (Bucs). Miller was in no man's land but nice to see the team used common sense to keep him.

Seattle kept both of their athletic rookie LBs BBK and Barton and I was pleasantly surprised the Jags kept S Wingard. Jets kept LB Chapman. So most but not all ( the Smiths- Cameron and Sutton) of the athletic white defenders from this draft are in. Same thing with the fabulous set of white TEs who were drafted.

QB Trace McSorley made the Ravens and most didn't see that coming prior to the draft. And I graded out RB Patrick Laird as a 5-6th round pick prior to the draft but of course he wasn't drafted. But his versatility helped his cause. Lesson for up and coming white RBs? Diversify your portfolio which means blocking, special teams and of course catching passes to go along with running the ball. Which is why Max Borghi should get drafted as he is to me a cross between Danny Woodhead and CM.

Of course there are grave disappointments but this could have been a whole lot worse. In a bad mood due to the college games but I am satisfied with the "initial" 53 man rosters overall. Who would have thought a guy named Gunner (perfect special teams name) would add another white dude WR ( Patriots) to a roster? No one even here saw that coming before the preseason.

The Waiver claims are coming in so more of our guys will likely get cut

...Berrios to the Jets

Raiders signed Kizer...wtf.

Bengals signed a KR/PR - Alex Erickson may be out.

Kizer is a complete head scratcher. Maybe Gruden feels he is an upgrade over glennon.

I got bad news but expected IMO, Ryan Nall was cut, if he couldn't break camp with the Bears last season, he wasn't going to this season with a more mortal camp. The notion of him being a swing back type wasn't in play either as he never played any serious snaps at fullback.

He should have a scrum with his agent and refuse a practice squad offer from the Bears and look to sign on elsewhere as it's obvious he will never make this rigged 3 Card Monte game.......https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...g-as-all-32-teams-cut-down-to-their-final-53/
OMG, Ryan "Stockholm Syndrome" Nall just signed with Da Bears again. All jokes aside if he isn't signing with them because he knows the system why sign with a team who will never promote him to the active roster less an all hands on deck situation.

Saw that Thomas Ives and Jesper Horsted are on the practice squad with Nall. I wonder if Ives will get the Tanner Gentry treatment.

I have been watching Hard Knocks on HBO. Chuckie is high on Peterman. So, I suspect Glennon will be cut for the "always in waiting, upsider black quarterback Kizer." Unreal!!!

Right, I agree or does being on the PS pay an enormous amount of money? What do players receive being on the PS and can they work another job? Is it worth it? Anybody?

The minimum is $8000 per week so they still make 6 figures no matter what as long as they’re on the squad.

Kizer is an upgrade over no one. He has not improved one aspect of his game prior to buying into the hype around him back in 2016 as a top 5 draft pick. He can’t read defenses, is not accurate and has a tendency to over throw receivers. He’s full of himself and is way to overconfident in his so called abilities.

Zylstra to Panthers.

It’s nice to see a couple of white skill position players land on their feet elsewhere.

I’m guessing no other team wanted to sign Nall since he cleared waivers without being claimed. All we can hope for are injuries or poor performance for Nall to get called up and get some playing time.

I hate to say it but as hard as it would be to turn down $8000 dollars a week he should have done it. Ryan Nall needs to realise that being the teams most talented water boy will get him no where
in life. The kid should be a starting nfl running back. He reminds me of a combonation of Mike Alstott, John Riggins, Toby Gerhart and Peyton Hillis but faster than any of those guys. Maybe Riggins
could come close but Nall has that 2nd and 3rd gear alot of smaller running backs don't even have. He is a physical specimen. He could become a top 10 rusher in the nfl with ease. Heck probably top 5
since he is white they hide him. I'm so disgusted by this racist league. Nall deserves better and if I were him I would fire my agent and find one with the balls to raise hell to every team until someone gave
him an opportunity to start. Yes start as a 1st or 2nd rb on a team. Not 3rd, 4th or bench warmer/practice squad. He will now lose a 2nd year of his prime years and probably dissapear from the nfl forever. Your better than that Ryan Nall. Quit the Bears and demand a chance elsewhere!

A little under the radar but Raiders safety Dallin Leavitt made the initial 53 man roster.

Kyle Sloter ends up on the Cardinals practice squad. Hopefully he overtakes Hundley at some point during the season.

Great to see the Raiders kept two white safeties. They also kept Erik Harris, a player who looks a bit “off” (non-white) in some photos despite having blonde hair, blue eyes, and very pale skin. After much examination, I believe he’s white...

There’s no doubt that Leavitt is white and it’s awesome to see him make Cucky Gruden’s roster after spending a year on the PS despite going undrafted...

I asked about Harris last year and someone said he’s mixed. When watching in TV I always think he’s a white guy but I really don’t know.

Harris looks to be a quadroon, maybe less, but his wife and kids are plenty white so that is good enough for me to root for him
