There was a post earlier on another thread that mentioned track athlete Chad Zallow running a 4.25 40 yard dash at the Youngstown State pro day. I take it Zallow is interested in playing in the NFL despite not playing college football? 5'10" 180 and obviously hyper athletic it would be a stretch to think any NFL team will show interest. He isn't black. I guess he didn't get the memo?

Want another obscure hyper athlete? In this case mighty mini mouse. However if he was black you would probably see him in an NFL uniform probably returning kicks

Idaho State had their pro day and 5'7" 167 DB Andy Whittier ran a 4.34 40 yard dash and had a 41 inch vertical. Chances of seeing him play in the NFL? Answer: .0004573 %. Unless he lies on the race portion of his questionnaire.

I looked at Draft Tek for their ratings of edge rushers. There are 4 white men they give draftable grades.

Nick Bosa they rank as the number one player in the draft. Chase Winovich at 90. Porter Gustin at 170. Maxx Crosby at 252.

To me, putting Crosby as the 252nd best player in the draft is ludicrous.

I read a couple scouting reports on Crosby and they make it sound like he's a horrible player.

The Draft Network's Kyle Crabbs claims "Crosby lacks high end physical tools," which is obviously false.

More scouting by race. Crosby is white therefore the DWF thinks that he's isn't athletic.

What the heck is a "Kyle Krabbs" and why should we care about his opinions? Only reason to take him seriously, is he's figured out there is a Caste system and has downgraded talent whites, accordingly.

Those idiots should have included hyper athletic John Cominsky. And big Zach Allen is projected to get picked real early. Anthony Nelson is also expected to get drafted. Edge hybrids Sutton Smith and Ty Summers could get drafted.

Allen and Nelson are huge 4-3 DEs that can move around the line.

So that Draft Tek list seems anemic to me. Too much drinking from the caste fountain.

Allen and Cominsky look like 3-4 defensive ends. Cominsky could also play in a 4-3.

S Taylor Rapp had his pro day today and ran a 4.70 40. Washington uses a fast track so that could really be a 4.78. Rapp is not black. But he is not all white either. If he was I don't think he would had been placed so high on the draft checker boards to begin with and would likely have suffered the same fate as Daniel Sorensen.

Sorensen's 4.67 40 at the combine doesn't seem as bad as it did at the time but rest assured I am sure Sorensen had no idea of how to run a 40 yard dash at that time. He killed the agility tests. Sorensen had a 3.95 20 yard shuttle and topped the two other agility tests too. He was the best in all three!!

Sorensen is slightly larger than Rapp. To be fair Rapp scored well on his agility tests but apart from his 3.99 shuttle, which is very impressive, he wasn't anywhere close to Sorensen in the other two agility drills.

About a full second slower than Sorensen and speed, according to the media goons, was the biggest rap on Sorensen. On cue he wasn't drafted.

Rapp will be an in box safety but at or near 4.8, that is pretty slow for a safety. His film is pretty good and he is a sound tackler but hell Chris Johnson, the best overall natural non steroidal athlete at safety in this draft has the most upside. And Andrew Wingard solidified his status in his solid workouts. Their tape looks good too.

But they are all white of course. But Rapp will be chosen early and long before them. Not even sure Johnson and Wingard will get drafted which would be awful. If that happened that alone would ruin the draft for me.

Apparently Draft Tek has listed both Nelson brothers, Zach Allen and Ryan Bee of Marshall as hybrid ends and all received draft range grades.

They only have three wide receivers within draft range and zero safeties.

If memory serves they aren't the most reliable site going.

Ouch! That time will definitely hurt Rapp, what a waste of spot for him to get a combine invite, not even run and then follow it up with a 4.7 .

As you mentioned it's an obvious exclusion of rangy and athletic Chris Johnson from combine.. Gervase, Snyder, and Baldwin all similar player to Rapp, but faster all blatantly omitted.

Recently tracked down NDSU Safety Robbie Grimsley's pro day workout
5'11 193
4.66 40
23 bench* would have been most by DB at Combine
34.5 vert
6.91 3 cone

Well, I bought Lindy's pro football draft guide. Haven't read any of it yet.

I don't recommend buying Lindy's draft guide. It has little by way of statistics. Statistics don't tell the whole story but they tell part of the story.

Here's an example. It gives no statistics on DK Metcalf, supposedly a first round pick. The magazine claims he "enjoyed a fine 2017 season," a season in which he caught a grand total of 39 passes. Hardly a "fine season." It also doesn't mention he only caught 26 passes in 2018, though he missed time with injury. Knowing some of Metcalf's statistics gives you a perspective on the player.

I'm a stats man so having little by way of statistics really rankles me. I would have been better off buying a different magazine.

Lindy's draft guide does give the 40 times of players - which it gets wrong. The magazine says Chase Winovich ran a 4.82 40. Winovich ran a 4.59 at the Combine. Big difference!

It says John Cominsky ran a 4.80 40. Cominsky ran a 4.69 40 at the Combine, at 286 lbs.

WR Scott Miller is one of the most mysterious cases I have come up against. In a rational world he would be a shoe in mid round pick.

I finally found two draft comments on him. Not worth posting since they are full of hyperbole and contradictions. You want strange?

First both writers complained about him and when they did compliment him it was in a backhanded way. Try this one on for size. One said he had speed but wasn't explosive. Try deciphering that little nugget. No fast black WR would ever be described in such a two face way. Then when they both were finishing up they assumed and expected him to get drafted. They figured he would either be a rotational player or a starter at slot. And/or return kicks. So at least high marks for that.

I don't think I am left out in the cold here. I have no reliable sources that state Miller will get drafted. Is it impossible? No. Miracles do happen and someone in the NFL with at least half a brain (hard to come by) and not covered in caste filth ( even harder to come by) could pull the trigger but chances are still slim from where I am standing.

But if you like great mysteries I guess the story surrounding Scott Miller fits the bill.

I saw his pro day 40 yard dash. I don't even need a stinking time watch. Runs like a bullet.

The problem with the draft magazines is they are dated. Most all of them I believe don't reflect combine work outs and certainly not pro day stuff. They guess on the 40 times and we all know which way the wind blows where that is concerned. Caste land.

They also caste everything up a notch where most of the white players are described as being un athletic in one way shape or form.

Thinking back, perhaps 20 plus years or more, there used to be a no frills ultra detailed draft book with no pictures. Not sure what happened to it but I remember seeing it at Borders when they were still around. It was very detailed. I just wish I could remember what years it came out.

In vain I'm trying to remember the players they wrote up which would clue me in on the years it was published.

I guess due to timing it would be difficult to put out a totally up to date draft guide that has the combine and pro day workouts included.

Tranquill is an interesting prospect. At worst he becomes a special teams warrior but as a "reformed" safety he has the speed to cover receivers and is generally one of those great instinct players who is always around the ball. Could turn out to be a real good pro.

I have a couple of white LBs I prefer ahead of him but he is a solid prospect. I have a 3rd to 4th round grade on him only because of his injury history. He has had I believe two ACL tears, one while celebrating. In fact he almost wrecked his leg this past season celebrating. A lesson to be learned young man. But if things work out he probably has 2nd round talent.

I was wracking my brain regarding this "draft guide" I brought up which was mainly a print "booklet". Might have been a few black and white photos? It wasn't a magazine. Then it hit me. One of the years it was published was 1997 because I remember reading about former Indiana RB Alex Smith.

They would post 40 times and I believe would have three big paragraphs for potential draft prospects. Strengths, weaknesses, that sort of thing which a few of the magazines do now but it was more comprehensive. I do remember it still seemed pretty caste in their analysis.

Anybody recall those "booklets?" I don't think it continued into the 2000's and I remember seeing it two or three years or maybe more at the book store back when. I never bought one. I don't think it was entirely up to date either on the 40 times. But not sure whether the combine numbers were included. It was a long time ago.

Streets and Smith had an NFL magazine/booklet that came out in the preseason, The Sporting News had something similar but a pure draft one might have been Pro Football Weekly which had a pure draft guide with prospects, the magazine died around the time of the Nolan Nowracki hatchet job done to him by Stephen A Smith about his depiction of Cam Newton which was largely true in the early years of the Panthers.

The internet has largely destroyed these magazines as maybe 1 or 2 are still around and I'm not even sure about that as many magazine chains have gone bankrupt too.

I think you solved the case. While whizzing around the internet I noticed a Draft Digest too but that doesn't seem like the one I was thinking about. I'm certain it was the one put out by Pro Football Weekly and was called Draft Preview. Joel Buchsbaum (wonder what his ethnicity is ha) name sounds familiar since he was involved and it seemed pretty damn caste. This was in the 90's where things went whole hog caste.

They are going for some big bucks on e-bay and amazon I see.

Thanks.

Joel Buchsbaum, 48, Who Won Renown as Pro Football Analyst

Joel Buchsbaum, who turned a thwarted childhood interest in sports into a career as a nationally recognized analyst of professional football, died on Sunday at his home in Brooklyn. He was 48.

Ellen Borokove, a spokeswoman for the medical examiner's office, said he died of natural causes.

Mr. Buchsbaum, who wrote about football for Pro Football Weekly and was a guest commentator on sports radio shows on KMOX in St. Louis and KTRH in Houston, had an encyclopedic knowledge of the sport. He wrote two books each year evaluating college players for the National Football League's spring draft.

Small and frail and with large eyeglasses, Mr. Buchsbaum looked out of place on draft day as the college players he had written about accepted offers worth millions of dollars.

''Draft day is now the second biggest day of the year behind the Super Bowl,'' the Giants general manager, Ernie Accorsi, said yesterday. ''Joel had a lot to do with what became the glorification of draft day. ESPN started putting it on the air live, but Joel helped them get interested in it.''

Mr. Buchsbaum was born in Brooklyn in 1954 to Stanley and Frances Buchsbaum. His father, who died in 1999, had been a first assistant corporation counsel for New York City.

Deemed too small and uncoordinated by a coach in the Police Athletic League, Joel Buchsbaum spent hours in the stands studying the players.

In 1979, he began writing for Pro Football Weekly, and that year he wrote the first draft book, ''Pro Football Weekly and Scout's Notebook '79.'' An annual analysis of the top 600 college players followed, based on Mr. Buchsbaum's interviews with hundreds of people. Despite the title's reference to scout, Mr. Buchsbaum rejected the notion that he was one.

''He always said, 'I don't evaluate players, I listen to the right people,' '' Mr. Accorsi said.

Mr. Buchsbaum is survived by his mother, of Brooklyn.

Joel Buchsbaum was the son of my father's football coach (Stanley Buchsbaum) in Brooklyn (my dad played in a parade grounds league in Brooklyn in the 1930s. The family was German Catholic.

Matt Miller, one of the more recognizable draft guru names, just put out his top 56 or so WR list with full details on each player.

The caste slant is discernable but what is hard to figure out is how he ranks them. Because if you read his pros and cons on each player and you didn't see the ranking you would be hard pressed to figure out how one player was rated so low and another so high.

Be that as it may the good news is he has four white WRs within draft range although Isabella at 17 seems way too low. He has him going in the 4th round but Sills, who he has at 20, going in an earlier round. Splitting hairs but those two are sure shots and that is important.

The two that we have to worry about are Renfrow, who he has going in the 4th round and lazily compares him to Ryan Switzer.

But he also has Cody Thompson going in the 6th.

Based on everything I will gladly take that. It is settling for the least common denominator I know but 4 is better than 2 and I will be able to live with it and worry about other key positions like safety come draft day if four white wide receivers are drafted.

Stanford is having a pro day today but he mentioned Trent Irwin, who he listed at 56 as a camp invite, is dealing with what sounded like a significant knee injury. Which he suffered right before the bowl game. Details of Irwin's injury have been non existent.

I don't think Irwin was getting drafted no matter what but still not sure what has been the big secret concerning his injury. His teammate Bryce Love had an ACL tear and that was announced. Although if memory serves that was announced a while after it occurred.

Scott Miller is nowhere to be found on the list. Getting a 5th white WR drafted would require a minor miracle. Not impossible but don't place a bet on it. I would like to ask Matt Miller why he left Scott Miller off the list?

If you care to muddle through it see below.

Ho hum another white athletic linebacker stud emerges into view.

Leonardfan last night discussed Stanford LB Joey Alfieri in the Combine thread where he ran a swift 4.53 at his pro day. Alfieri is a solid 235 at 6'2" plus and I remember many flash plays by him in college.

Where or if he lands somewhere in the draft is murky. Looks like a solid mid round pick no questions asked. His quickness and flash ability was on display every Stanford game so there shouldn't be a hang up but it appears there is one. He can get to the QB and play in space.

Seen as a fringe type or camp invite by some I'm going to stick my neck out and say he gets drafted. I did see his name on a prominent list so I'm cautiously optimistic that some NFL team takes off their caste laden fool hat and chooses him.

Solid pick with a lot of upside.

The pro days are over so for the next couple of weeks it will mainly be the Kyler Murray song and dance show featuring every slobbering fool known to mankind.

If things break right ( always a big if) this could be a terrific draft relatively speaking.

Clarification on Joey Alfieri's 40 yard dash. It has officially been posted at an even better 4.49!!

A bit like Cole Holcomb this is an ultra athletic productive linebacker that is being ignored for the most part.

Breaking news!! Dear NFL teams and scouts and GMs and head coaches and all other ass wipe NFL screw bats. Just found out all the honky looking draft prospects are part black to varying degrees. Yes they are part black. Now you can all let out a sigh of relief and now you can draft them without undo stress or alarm. The coast is clear black butt munchers. Ha.

Bastards. Allergic to white folk. Can't handle the idea that a white player is ultra athletic ( wouldn't look good on TV) so they ignore them for the most part. Might let a few slip in but Katy bar the door on the rest of the deserving candidates

In addition to the question of who deserves to get drafted it is also who scares the NFL the most? The answer is highly athletic all honky 100% white players with no additives. The whole damn league seems petrified over the idea of having too many scintillating athletic white players starring in the NFL. To avoid such a calamity they lurch extra hard in the direction of "athletic" black players no matter how bad they play football.

More breaking news. Sleeper report:

I don't ever recall seeing his name here at caste (you never know) and for good reason. His Colgate stats aren't staggering ( missed some games) but his athletic profile is as he burned a 4.47 40 on his pro day and leapt 37 1/2 inches. And he is 6'4" 208. Just the type of black WR that slips into the draft in the 7th round. Being white, Thomas Ives has no chance in hell of getting drafted.

A big play WR. Nearly every time Ives touched the ball he gobbled up huge chunks of real estate. Just the type of raw up side athlete that fits the sleeper description. Alas he doesn't pass the NFL race sniff test. So down the toilet he goes.

I have only found 7 round mock draft from one of the main draft sites (CBS Sports). It was done by Chris Trapasso who I thought was not a total caste clown when I would read his articles during the football season. However, it looks like he has gone into caste mode as his mock has 52 white players drafted - leaving us in the typical 20% range that we have long tracked at this site. I do feel this draft is deep on the OL, TE and it has been deeper than the past several drafted on front seven defensive players (still pathetic but an improvement in terms of prospects who may actually get a chance). Again we are seeing this same pattern - I will look at some of the other 7 round mock drafts as they come out leading up to the draft.

A few funny developments are the overhyping of some doughy Sumo OTs in Dillard and Taylor. We can only hope that teams with young white QBs opt to pass on them in order to get a better white OT like Williams, Risner, McGary. I am also hoping that this white TE surge continues and Allen, Darnold, Mayfield, Wentz, Goff may all get a solid white TE.

The Murray hype is beyond ridiculous - he wasn't even on any teams draft radar until he opted out of his MLB contract and all of the sudden he is the anointed 1st overall pick. I look forward to laughing at the team who wastes their first round pick on him. The windows he is throwing too are wide open in the defense option big 12. He plays in the shotgun only and has a lot of time to stare down his 1st option until they get open. His running ability and small frame are going to hurt him as well in the long run as the NFL figures him out. He is probably going to be another eraserhead. It is also noteworthy that I have yet to see any QB being mocked to the Ravens. It looks like they are going all in on him. I would imagine Stick or Fitzgerald can run the Ravens offense just as well. I look forward to the Ravens having 2-3 down seasons before they move on from eraserhead.

Lindy's draft guide makes no mention of Maxx Crosby that I can find. Not at defensive end nor at linebacker.
