Chase Winowich 4.60 - all season when watching Michigan games he was labeled as a high effort player with limited athleticism. I wonder how they will spin this.

4.7 flat for Sutton Smith. Thought he'd run faster, but also showed off his strength, he did 26 reps benching.

Here's some notable top performers so far in the 2019 NFL Combine:
QB's
Trace McSorley
6'0 205- 4.57 40 (1st), 33" vert, 115 broad jump
Easton Stick 6'1 224- 4.62 40, 33.5" vert, 118 broad.
Nick Fitzgerald 6'5 226- 4.64 40, 29.5" vert, 118 broad.
Drew Lock 6'4 228- 4.69 40, 31.5" vert, 115 broad.
Ryan Finley 6'4 213- 4.73 40, 30.5" vert.

WR's
Andy Isabella
5'9 188- 4.31 40 (Tied 1st), 36.5" vert, 15 reps, 121 broad.
David Sills 6'4 211- 4.57 40, 37.5" vert, 117 broad.
Cody Thompson 6'1 205- 4.57 40, 38.5" vert, 19 reps.
Hunter Renfrow 5'10 184- 4.59 40, 35" vert, 11.39 60 yd shuttle (1st)
TE's
Foster Moreau
6'4 253- 4.66 40, 22 reps, 36.5" vert, 121 bj.
Kahale Warring 6'5 255- 4.67 40, 36" vert, 122 bj.
TJ Hockenson 6'5 251- 4.70 40, 37.5" vert, 20 reps, 122 bj.
Drew Sample 6'5 252- 4.71 40, 4.31 20 yd shuttle.
Dax Raymond 6'5 255- 4 73, 32" vert
Jace Sternberger 6'4 250- 4.75 40, 18 reps, 33" vert.

I will throw my two cents in. Imagine watching it live like me and seeing Andy Isabella run a 4.56 then a 4.46. I threw my notepad across the room and said to myself there is no hope.

Then much later in the night I heard a reference that Andy tied for the fastest 40 time with a 4.31. Great news and I believe like others mentioned was the fastest 40 time by a white player in NFL combine history.

I'll get over the very strange and suspicious laser mishap but I'll tell you that caused a lot of damage. First the commentators didn't have a chance to go nuts and say wow etc. In fact Daniel Jeremiah, ( he has been tolerable) who has taken Mike Mayock's place, immediately said after the posted 4.56 time that Andy is faster than that. But little did anyone know that there was a clock screw up and through all the years of the televised combine I have never seen this kind of laser screw up. NEVER. Especially on a speedster.

So instead of basking in the glow of his 4.31 ( now I wonder if he should have been listed at 4.27) practically all night long I had to suffer through a black dominated top 40 yard dash list. Good God it was awful.

But a happy ending.

A few notes.

This is the best and deepest TE white class I have ever seen and TJ Hockenson will be a superstar. There are others like Jace Sternberger who are right behind him.

I want Trace McSorley and perhaps Nick Fitzgerald ( there was talk of a move to TE) to follow the path of Taysom Hill. He can be a long time back up QB and utility player in the NFL. He is dynamic. I disagree, I like the fact he stood his ground and worked out with the QBs. If he moved to DB he would never get drafted and would have to worm his way along. At least he has a shot of getting drafted as a QB.

Nice deep DE class and Nick Bosa will be another Bosa stud and rip it in the NFL. Like the TEs a lot of depth and players with tons of potential. Winovich was even coming off an injury and ran a great 40. Plenty for teams to choose from.

As for the rest of the WRs I think like mentioned above David Sills boosted his stock with a 4.57 given his size. Renfrow slipped under 4.6 but he displayed quickness in the drills and I think he will be drafted, albeit late. Same with Cody Thompson.

I look for a range in the 40 yard dash and most of the top white prospects fell safely within the range.
All important LBs are next I guess.

Zach Allen from BC at 6'-5" 285 is a specimen. Impressive catch in the agility drills at the NFL Combine. Found this..Studies film of Derek Wolfe

4.7 for Sutton Smith?? Is the Laser "Malfunctioning" again? like it did yesterday for Isabella when his 4.56 became 4.31?

Good for John Cominsky! Under the Radar for me in the '18 Pre-season playing at Univ. of Charleston...WHY wasn't he at an SEC School like South Carolina?? Oh i forgot...white scholarship defenders need not apply. Maybe he would have been welcomed as a Preferred Walk-on...

Keep in mind the one constant every combine is to purposely have small for the position black players who "light" up the 40 yard dash. Cominsky above is 280 plus pounds. Zach Allen is as big as a house. Yet sprinkled in with DLs who are the proper size are smallish black players who are lighter and thinner and hence almost always run fast 40 yard dash times.

Same trick with glorified big black WRs working out with the TEs so once again it skews the speed lists towards undersized black players and or receivers that do not know how to block at all like Noah Fant.

Also the steroid watch is on. I saw a lot of magically bulked up dudes. Number one suspect is WR DK Metcalf. I wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole. He ran a 4.33 40 but look at his 20 yard shuttle time 4.5. That is awful. Big stiff. Cody Thompson burned a 4.04 20 yard shuttle.

I still haven't gotten over the Isabella case. What are the stinking odds that there is a laser mishap during the fastest ever 40 yard dash run by a white athlete? There are never laser screw ups.

Again I can't think of a similar case. I know the times can vary up and down a bit but this was nuts. A 4.56 is all the public saw and then the follow up 4.46. Only until practically everybody was in bed did they slip in that Andy ran a 4.31. Terrible job just terrible.

The guy that runs Draft Diamonds has Andy as a Winner from Day 2 of Combine. Here's what he wrote:

Andy Isabella, WR, UMass – Fast, OH MY FAST should be this kids nickname. Andy Isabella was FLYING today. I was called by several scouts today after he ran a 4.31 and they said bro he ran faster than that. They said they had to reset the laser because something happened when he ran. They hand timed him in the 4.2’s, and three teams told me they had him anywhere from a 4.27 to a 4.31

In funny news, did anyone notice that Texas WR Lil’Jordan (yes that’s actually his name) Humphries ran a 4.75 40. It goes without saying that a White receiver who is that slow would never play at a major university nor would he get a combine invite.

These are posts I was hoping would be put on the combine thread for lurkers to see! They would see that very few white WR's get a chance much less get an invite to the combine. Isabella proves that white players in the NFL have to be the best athletes, because in order to get to the combine or a chance in the NFL, you have to put up freakish numbers. I know there are other white WR's that run well below 4.7 in college or even HS. I know a white kid that ran a 4.7 at 13 years old.
I hope some of you will post these numbers and comparisons on the combine thread!
Thank you,
CS

Now I also wonder whether the fix is in and they made damn sure Andy ( a white man) didn't solely have the fastest (4.28?) 40 at the combine.

A Georgia player ran a 4.33. Mecole Hardman. But that is why he was invited. Another yearly combine trick. Invite black players who have very little college production but are almost certain to run fast 40 yard dashes.

Check out his career stats below and compare to Bowling Green's WR Scott Miller who had a magnificent career that dwarfs Hardman's. And Miller would have lit up the 40 yard dash.

This is a pattern I can't ignore.

Again, I hope you'll put these on the combine thread! These times look like the black RB's times. Some are even faster than the black RB's!!

Haha ridiculous. Miller is slightly smaller, just as fast and as you've mentioned, had off the charts production in The MAC.

Miller had 140 more catches than Mecole. 1800 more yds and 13 more TDs! But he's lacking melanin and dat SEC Upside..

A wrap for now from me but some of this stuff is ridiculous. It appears they try very hard to carefully control the 40 yard dash numbers from the fastest sets (WRs and DBs) by making damn sure there are plenty of black candidates and leaving out too many deserving white speedsters

By the way I figure if Ty Summers was black he probably would have run with the DLs and hence his 40 time of 4.52 would stand out even more.

All in all though you are seeing an upsurge of athletic white defensive players who play real defense. These aren't just one trick pony combine mutants like so many of the black prospects here at the combine. The white stars can diagnose plays, quickly react and tackle with surety. A rarity these days on so many black dominated defenses in college and the NFL.

We saw great white defensive production all season in college and hopefully most all of those mentioned above get drafted. They deserve to be that is for damn sure.

Beware tomorrow when the black DBs light up the 40. But can they tackle? Probably not.

Need to get more white players on defensive backfields throughout college and then the NFL.

I'm just speculating, but maybe more White players have wised up and are doing what black players have been doing for so long -- training very hard specifically for the Combine (and their Pro Days) -- rather than relying too much on their college production.

It certainly seems to me that this is the fastest bunch of lunch pail carrying overachievers with non-stop motors ever at this event. If they can keep up their superior production while also keeping pace with the often artificial definitions of "athleticism" used to prop up the Caste System we should keep seeing at least an incremental increase in White defensive players in the NFL as more become too good to pass up. And of course tight end continues to look great, while the o-line and QB positions hold steady.

Good post Don and I agree wholeheartedly! Very impressive group of Defenders. I do think that our Athletes are doing the right thing and entering these combine performance camps as soon as their season is done. It costs a pretty penny for broke college kids but it's worth the investment if they can shave off tenths of seconds in the Underwear Olympics and get Drafted.

A perfect example of this is Andy Isabella. In an article shared here yesterday it mentioned how he was working out at a pre combine performance camp in Florida with Randy Moss as his speed coach. Andy talks about how Moss would have him run 8 straight 40yd dashes followed by 5 routes and then back to 8 more 40yd dashes!

…...and invite a white RB, Ingold that ran a 4.9 40, instead of Laird, Eriksen, or Ouellette? Just like we can't have a white player be the fastest, but let's make sure a white RB is the slowest? I know that Laird, Eriksen, McPherson or Ouellette would have bested, Holyfield's, 4.79/4.81, Brossette's , 4.72, Snell Jr. 4.7, Mattison 4.68/4.70, Singletary 4.66?

Back from a weekend away - was posting on my phone. Really great times for LBs. Cashman, Summer, Burr-Kirven, Trangquill all sub 4.6 and Barton, Connelly and Cameron Smith all sub 4.7. Outside of Tranquill and Burr-Kirven all of the other LBs have been labeled "throw backs" and not atheltic enough for today's NFL which requires alot more pass coverage. I didn't buy it before and certainly not buying it now but having all of those guys run faster or just as fast as many of the TEs and even WRs SHOULD make them very desireable draft targets. It's also great because seeing them perform better than many black players at the same position just makes the so called experts heads explode.

Edge rushers Smith's official time is 4.69, Gustin also at 4.69 and Winovich at 4.59. All very good. I will have to see there other workout numbers to see how they tested and the 10 yard splits. If you ask me Gustin is the type of player you build your defense around.

I agree with Don that like their black counterparts white players are also training for the drills now.

Minnesota Gophers LB Blake Cashman a rising prospect in this years Combine, is a tricky one that until now I thought was white. White at first glance but I've noticed his nose is questionable and seems to have frizzy hair sometimes. He kinda resembles Suns G Devin Booker, who has nearly white skin, but thick frizzy hair. Cashman is probably 1/4 black but cant say yet, havn't find any pics of his parents. What do y'all think???
