The 2013 Broncos looked somewhat like the Patriots with Welker, Decker, and Tamme catching passes from Manning. It works. Someone will always copy it.

I remember that team, and other than Peyton Manning, Welker and Decker it was almost entirely black. We had a lot of give and take on CF as to whether we should root for the Broncos in that Super Bowl.

Why would an NFL GM want to copy the best team in the league when they could field a team with unlimited upside?

Glorious!

Yes, absolutely glorious. The most dominating franchise in the history of American pro sports. The whole sports media was ready to write them off in the middle of the season. And such a Fu*k You right in the face of the whole (((Establishment))) and caste system. What a beautiful thing. The Patriots are too good to be true. What an inspiration.

Adam Levine the Great Anti-White Hope, but sadly DWF America has no clue what's going on.
Some do. But are so comfortable with their lives, can not believe what is being perpetrated against them. If DWF nation and its deviant cousin the left, support one the Dem candidates against Trump, the nation

The 2013 Broncos were the team that motivated me to become a lurker on CF. I remember an ESPN story that mentioned that Manning, Decker, and Tamme would car pool together to/from practice every day. Well gee, I wonder what brought those 3 together?

Eventually, there will be another Belichick style team. Imagine if Zenner joined the Vikings or if McCaffery joined the Rams with Kupp healthy. Maybe it will take random chance to make it happen somewhere outside of New England.

Lol, sappy commercial from the Fake News Washington Post. They must be desperate for sales with their paper failing to do a commercial.

From actor (and Trump fan) Randy Quaid:

Most entertaining Super Bowl commercial - (Tom) Hanks declaring The Washington Post is shining a light on democracy. I’m almost done laughing now, but not quite.

I'm happy for Julian Edelman winning MVP. Brady is truly happy for him and will not care one bit about that award. But Brady obviously deserved it.

"Obviously"??? They will never give Julian credit.

Suh's a turd. I saw that too. Burkhead was a teammate of his at Nebraska. You would think he might of sought him out to congratulate him. Can't stand the guy and I hope his career is just a bunch of 1 year deals like he signed with the Rams.

I guess the only downside is that Hogan was targeted six times with zero catches. It's peculiar how Brady ignored Hogan most of the season and then couldn't connect with him in the playoffs. Chris is a free agent, odds are he'll move on, but will any other teams be interested in signing him given his lack of pigmentation?

To me after NE beating KC two weeks ago, this victory was anti-climatic. I just knew NE would win and BB scheming would rattle Goff. I hope next year that Burkhead remains. He is clutch when it counts. Gronk will probably be back. 7-11 aka Hogan may, but it's a big if. BTW, NE defense finally showed up. Next year I hope BB adds some white defensive players.

Coming into the game Hogan brought with him 185 Super Bowl receiving yards. Now he has two SB rings to go with his 128 yard Super Bowl game vs. the Eagles. Hogan will play somewhere next year - he's only 30 years old.

Woohoo! Patriots win.

One thing about the Patriots is that they're not just good they're interesting. They play interesting games.

I never expected this to be a defensive struggle but it was. The Patriots held the Rams to 3 points. Is this a Super Bowl low?

We all know Max Kellerman hates white athletes, I wonder how he's feeling right now?

Kellerman said this in 2016:

Max Kellerman To Patriots Fans: You Are The Dumbest Fans In Sports

https://boston.cbslocal.com/2018/01/10/max-kellerman-patriots-fans-dumbest-in-sports/

Kellerman also went on to sort of say that his grand prediction that Brady will “fall off a cliff” and “be a bum in short order” has come true? (Fact check: Brady will be handed his third NFL MVP award in short order.) Guest host Damien Woody told Kellerman, “You’re still waiting for Tom Brady to fall off the cliff.”

“What do you mean waiting? I have eyes!” Kellerman exclaimed. “Tom Brady hasn’t been excellent in the last five games! He’s been an ordinary quarterback. Go look at tape, Damien.”

In the biggest moment, when the Rams defense needed a stop with under 2 minutes remaining, Suh and Donald were invisible. Rex’s run really destroyed all hope.

What was the story with Todd Gurley? He looked distant, uninterested, and ran like a pussy. The unwanted and now morbidly obese CJ Anderson took all his reps and the organization said it has nothing to do with injury. I wonder if the Fake News will even mention how much Gurley let his team down when it mattered most?

Edelman’s highlights...

Who else remembers the offseason in 2013 when Edelman became a free agent? The only team even mildly interested was the Giants and he left without a contract. He eventually signed a one year deal with the Pats for the league minimum. What a great decision that turned out to be. An article from 2013 about Edelman working out for the Giants:

https://nesn.com/2013/04/report-jul...ots-unclear-on-interest-in-bringing-him-back/

Who would’ve know the events that would transpire over the next 6 years. Many congrats to Julian!

When Brady did throw to Hogan he was in extremely tight coverage and Brady made terrible throws. Other than that hogan was open most of the game. Brady had blinkers on. Without Kupp the Rams receivers are mediocre at best except for Higbee who was not targeted once I believe. Kupp would have made the same impact as Edleman did for NE imho.

I still think Burkhead is better than Michel and should be the starter. He is much quicker than Michel BUT they make a good tandem threat.

Either Gurley had a niggle or he pissed off the coach. Haven't heard much of Gurley being a primadona in the past so I am assuming he was harboring an injury. He definitely would have done better than Anderson.

NE should have given Develin a few carries or a pass when lined up as a wideout, the db turned and left him as he assumed Develin was a decoy. If Brady had thrown him the ball he was open for at least a 20-30 yard run which would have made my day!

See above what I thought was the emotional moment of the event when future Hall Of Famer Julian Edelman embraces his QB who is pretty good too. Ha.

In fact that postgame was a surreal dramatic moment as poor CBS sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson tried to nab a postgame interview with Brady but was held up because Tom was congratulating people. I felt for the lady as she got shoved into the background in the swarm like some hopeless groupie waiting for her chance. Ha. But it all ended nicely and she showed great professionalism when she finally got to interview Tom.

And I never felt CBS was resentful the Pats won. In fact in general I think the Pats are finally growing on some media types. Cerebral tough football played the right way. What is there not to like even for the haters?

Perhaps not since the Larry Bird Celtics has a major league team, barring the NHL, had faces of the franchise who are white and in the case of the Pats even little tiny kids now know who Brady, Gronkowski and Edelman are which is really a great thing.

That Brady pass to Gronkowski to the Rams 4 yard line was one of the most beautifully executed plays I have seen in a big spot. (That wheel route pass was nothing to sneeze at either.) Not only was the pass beyond sublime but Gronkowski secured and cuddled it nicely. And I was glad the Pats didn't fuss around after that. They rammed it in with Michel as FB Develin once again cleared out a defender with a "get out of the way" block.

Then back to back runs that pretty much said to the Rams we are the champs and you aren't. Right up the gut of media heroes Suh and Donald first Michele rips a 26 yarder followed by Burkhead who ripped off another up the gut 26 yarder.

What a finish for Burkhead. His two most important plays in his entire career. Scoring the winning TD against KC and this seal the deal late run against the Rams. And remember against the Eagles he got injured early and had to leave the game.

I think the Pats drafted a good one with Michel. He is a classic RB that follows his blocks. None of that fancy crap too many RBs rely on. And Burkhead is the new prototype RB who can essentially do everything. Run, block, catch passes he has great versatility and has been an essential piece of the puzzle for the Patriots in their late season run.

But their defense was immense too and their constant pressure put Goff in uneasy spots. They smartly doubled Woods and without Kupp, Goff had no one to bail him out. I have been down on BB at times of late but he came up with a great game plan and outcoached the youngster. And DC Flores did a good job too.

Ex Pat WR Brandin Cooks had big stats once again but I was probably the only one out there in media world who was never totally convinced with him. The Pats didn't resign him because he couldn't follow Brady's instructions and had trouble with contested passes. Guess what on three of the biggest plays of the game he failed to secure two TDs and was lost in space as CB Gilmore nabbed an all important interception. OK to be fair the Pats closed fast on both of those possible TDs but to win a Super Bowl a player has to make at least one of those plays. There is more to a player than stats or combine speed. Cooks checks all the boxes and he isn't a bad player but he proved my point from a year ago. He isn't as great as the media makes out. Does Kupp haul in at least one of those passes?

The last three weeks the Pats have played like old time NFL champs. Tough and relentless 60 minute blocking. And Edelman is the anti diva. You know the type, the "star" black WR who acts like a spoiled female actress. Edelman plays with the grit of an offensive lineman.

And he had to come back from an ACL tear, never easy especially for older players. It was a tough night for Hogan as covered above. When he was open Brady couldn't deliver it and when he was covered nothing good happened. But Hogan was a key player down the stretch for the Pats. And as noted above has been essential the past few years.Have to wait and see if they resign him?

You know when you see a relative etc. as a baby even when they age you can't get the "baby" part out of your mind. I remember the first time I saw Edelman play. He was returning punts and the first thing that struck me was his quickness and dodge ability. I was flabbergasted. His athleticism was unreal and I kept thinking they got to get this guy the ball.

Flash forward to now and I am watching a post ACL tear and older Edelman who has lost a step and he still is faking out DBs like crazy. Those poor DBs couldn't even keep within ten feet of him. And after he caught it he was impressively moving the ball up field in big chunks. None of that dink and dunk crap meaning two yards and a flop. What a player.

Very important victory.

I think the fall out will be positive. Maybe I am too much in the moment but teams have to start realizing that racially diverse teams can win big and often. Common sense.

BTW Brady and Edelman are at Disney World today and tomorrow is the Boston parade. Forecast? 60 degrees and sunny.

Perfect. Just perfect!!!

From NFL.com article on Gronk's future:

Edelman turned to Gronkowski and asked the most productive tight end in NFL postseason history to do what he has done all his career: deliver in the clutch.

"Julian looked at me and said, 'We need another play out of you, Rob. We need another huge play,' " Gronkowski recalled after the game. "He had been making them all game. I had to step up. Tom threw that ball where it needed to be. I went and made the play. It was huge."

Of course, this was nothing new for Gronkowski, who ranks No. 1 all-time among tight ends in postseason catches (87), receiving yards (1,250) and receiving touchdowns (12). Two weeks ago, in the Patriots' 37-31 overtime win over the Chiefsin the AFC Championship Game, he set up a go-ahead touchdown in the final minute of regulation with a 25-yard reception on third-and-5. Then in overtime he had a 15-yard gain on third-and-10 from the Chiefs' 30, helping position New England for the decisive touchdown.
