QB - Ben Roethlisberger, Mason Rudolph
WR - Ryan Switzer (kick returner)
TE - Vance McDonald, Jesse James
T - Alejandro Villanueva, Matt Feiler
G - David DeCastro, B. J. Finney

OLB - T. J. Watt, Anthony Chickillo
ILB - Tyler Matakevich

PK - Chris Boswell
P - Jordan Berry
LS - Kameron Canaday

Big Ben never gets the credit he deserves; it will only be in retrospect after he retires that it will be fully understood that he was the player that kept the Steelers a playoff contender every year, much like Tom Brady in New England, though obviously with not as much success.

The Caste formula followed for White players for Pittsburgh varies little from year to year -- great quarterback, outstanding tight end and one or two topnotch o-linemen, and now potentially a great one on defense in T. J. Watt. Watt had a fine rookie year and though he was waylaid by a hamstring injury in training camp, he worked out and trained like a beast in the offseason and it won't be surprising to see him reminding people of Clay Matthews in his prime in 2018.

Tyler Matakevich is another of those "all he does is make tackles" White linebackers who is widely disparaged because he "doesn't look the part." He may get a chance to start at some point this season, but it's more likely he'll languish as a special teams ace and backup at ILB.

Anthony Chickillo always does well in his limited playing time, and should be starting over first round dud Bud Dupree opposite Watt but once again won't.

Will Ryan Switzer actually get a chance at being the team's slot receiver? Not likely, and with divas like Antonio Brown, Juju Smith Shuster and Le'Veon Bell (if he reports) all demanding targets, it's hard to see Switzer having an impact other than as a kick returner.

Number of White starters: 5

Number of Whites on 53 man roster: 15

Grade: D-

Don, this appears to be the best Pittsburgh squad in CF history. Have you ever given the Steelers any grade other than an F before now?

I see that I gave them a sparkling F+ in 2016, but a lot of recent years I haven't graded them, just chronicled the Rooney Plantation and the frequent drama that emanates from it.

Yes. The grading system goes from "A" to "F". Most years the Steelers have qualified with a "G" so no need to do a writeup as they fall below the grading curve.

Glancing through some of the news for the upcoming games this weekend, the media is slobbering over the possibility that Joshua Dobbs will get the start for the Steelers against the Chiefs and media heartthrob Mahomes. Roethlisberger has a dinged-up elbow and has missed practice all of this week. I doubt that Big Ben will sit, he's a tough guy, but this game could be really ugly with two black quarterbacks behind center.

I think the AA QB Joshua Dobbs is going to make the Steelers sorry they cut Landry Jones if he starts.

The Prescott vs Scam game last week was a prelude if Dobbs gets the nod. I could stomach a few minutes of it but it was ugly.

Mahomes is decent, and was actually very productive in college but I don't know if it will translate into the pro ranks with real consistency. I know the PTB want every match up to be this way...the recruitment in college makes it just a matter of time before it will be, sadly.

At least Prescott vs. Scam had McCaffrey. Dobbs vs. "It's" Pat! Mahomes will be unwatchable with the manlove for those two from the announcers.

Big Ben will be playing Sunday, so the debut of Josh Dobbs and his room brightening smile will have to wait for another day.

The drama surrounding this team never stops. The Steelers have scored 79 points their last two home games (Jax last season in the playoffs and KC yesterday) -- and lost them both. Every year they draft d-backs and linebackers in the early rounds, and except for T. J. Watt they all suck. The Chiefs' receivers, especially Kelce, were wide open the entire game, and Pitt defenders often made little to no attempt to tackle them. Kelce deliberately picked on ILB Jon Bostic, the well-traveled bust who's been awful, but he was the choice of the team to start not to mention all the DWFs who shrieked in hive mind unison "Anyone but Tyler Matakevich, he's not affletic enough!!" Because a small minority of black defensive players are good, the reasoning is that virtually all defensive players must therefore be black no matter how substandard most show themselves to be over and over again.

Clown prince Leveon Bell continues his holdout, while Antonio Brown is up to his usual a-hole antics. He's been targeted 33 times already in two games, but because he was outgained yesterday by "Juju" and -- horror of horrors Jesse James -- he did a big-time pouting act. He screamed in the face of offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner on the sideline -- who in typical White man fashion, stood there and took it. When Big Ben ran in for a score in the 4th quarter, giving the Steelers a chance to still win the game, Ben's teammates celebrated with him in the endzone while Brown walked back to the sideline. Ben btw was brilliant, throwing for 452 yards, 3 TDs and 1 rushing TD, while passing John Elway to become 7th all-time in passing yardage.

Tomlin is under quite a bit of fire today, for the atrocious defense (which made no adjustments during the game yesterday), and allowing the likes of Bell and Brown to poison the locker room (even a lot of the black players are ticked). But his rope is extremely long and I expect it would take at least two non-playoff seasons with losing records for the Rooneys to seriously consider firing him.

The Steelers and their non-existent defense play next Monday night in Tampa against red-hot Ryan Fitzpatrick. That should be quite the interesting contest.

If Fitz bombs the Crawfords back into the stone age, with say 415 yards, 4 TDs, and 1 rushing TD, I will go out on a limb and say Jamis will stay on the sidelines holding a white clipboard when his suspension is up. You talk about an affelet being on suicide watch, Jamis will be it. LOL

Man oh man, that would be a hum dinger if that scenario played out. It seems we can just throw wrenches in the works of the machine that is the Felons League at this point. Winston is amongst the most despicable players in it and that is saying a lot.

Some former Steeler scout or coach, not sure who, tweeted something to the effect that Antonio Brown's stats wouldn't be nearly as good without Big Ben throwing the ball to him. This of course triggered the delicate Antonio, who demanded a trade and didn't show up to practice yesterday. Brown and Leveon Bell are both toxic, but so is Mike Tomlin because he'll never come down hard on a brother. The Steelers season is fast unraveling.

Pass the popcorn. This might be the most entertaining thing the NFL puts out this year. :icon_popcorn:

If there is any thinking White person left alive that doesn't see the absolute infantile behavior of high profile Black athletes from week to week whether it's Serena or Leveon or Antonio or Jamis or name a hundred more of your choice...then I don't know what will convince people there's innumerable differences between Blacks and Whites that will never be reconciled or bridged. As Don stated, even the Black coaches are disfunctional. When will people see reality and admit our "evil racist" forefathers knew the score?!

About 2 weeks ago, Antonio Brown also threatened a black ESPN writer with physical violence because he dared to (mildly) criticize him in a recent article. Brown tweeted the following Ebonics-sodden threat to the writer:

“@jessewashington wait to I see you bro we gone see what your jaw like”

Brown has gone from humble and hard-working (despite being complete scum in his personal life) to a basket case diva in the course of two years. For black athletes, it’s as sure as the sunrise. An incident from last season...

Brown has 5 children by 3 different women. His current girlfriend looks white, but is actually a very light-skinned negress (similar to Steve Smith’s wife). Brown has been accused of cheating on his current girlfriend and the two have a very rocky relationship..which will surely end in “domestic abuse.”

The article that triggered “AB”...

https://theundefeated.com/features/...stagram-all-pro-but-is-that-the-full-picture/

An interesting quote where AB plays the race card...

“One week later, Ed Bouchette, who has covered the Steelers for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette since 1985 and been honored by the Pro Football Hall of Fame, watched Brown at practice and tweeted: “Antonio Brown limps off practice after some early individual work.” It got 141 retweets and 246 likes. Bouchette told me that shortly after his tweet, Brown confronted him in person and said, “You a racist, you a racist.” (Bouchette is white.)”

According to this one article, Tomlin appears to have lost the locker room:

https://www.bleacherreport.com/amp/...ow-confirms-tomlin-has-lost-steelers.amp.html

"For those of us who like Pittsburgh Steelerscoach Mike Tomlin, there is a hard truth that must be said: He has lost his locker room.

It's all but impossible to consider all that is happening in Pittsburgh now and conclude Tomlin, now in his 12th year with the club, has a firm grasp on what's happening with his players.

"It's a circus there," one NFC South assistant coach told B/R, "and Mike has no control over it."

Tomlin is a one of the biggest sacred cows in the world of NFL, but what has he really done after winning that lone SB with Bill Cowher's players?

The team plays in a crap division where he's virtually guaranteed 5 wins each year, and the only competition has been with the Ravens and they usually split their games. He's owed all of his "success" to Roethlisberger who has made chicken salad out of chicken **** more times than I can recall, singlehandedly leading the team to crucial wins every year. And the other component was Dick Lebeau on the defensive side. Tomlin and the Steelers have otherwise been owned by the Patriots in all the big games, both regular and post-season.

I hope this it for Tomlin and he's gone after the season. With wigger Pete and the Blackhawks also imploding, the two most odious coaches/teams appear to be getting their comeuppance.

Not that it matters much, but Bouchette is a big, giant liberal vag.
Always crying about right wing stuff and how the world is so unfair.
Open borders and socialism, yeah, that’s sound governing.

Yes, Ed Bouchette probably profusely apologized to Antonio Brown for the “racism” inherent in suggesting that he was limping after practice.

Antonio Brown is a locker room and on-field cancer, but under Mike Tomlin players are never held accountable, which is why the team will never win another Super Bowl as long as Tomlin is around, and as it is they look to continue to be on the decline while division rivals Baltimore and Cleveland are on the rise, and maybe Cincinnati too with Marvin X finally fired.

There is a deep-seated dislike of Tomlin by many if not most Steelers DWFs. But he's the Rooney Rule poster boy and there would have to be a ton of things going on behind the scenes that haven't been made public for Tomlin to be fired at the present time. More likely there will be some sacrificial lambs such as defensive coordinator Keith Butler, and hopefully the thuggish Joey Porter, who is supposedly the linebackers coach but is on the team because he's Tomlin's long time buddy and enabler.

There's no player accountability under Tomlin, and his tactics, strategies and clock management are all terrible. But after Chuck Noll lasted 23 seasons, followed by Bill Cowher's 15 seasons with both eventually retiring rather than being fired, Tomlin is going nowhere, especially with four black head coaches already fired this week.

Last year Leveon Bell blew off practices and the team walkthrough before the playoff game against Jacksonville, which the Steelers ended up losing at home. This week, with the playoffs on the line, super-diva Brown once again acted his mental age, which is about seven. From Weenieworld: The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports the Steelers benched Antonio Brown in Week 17 not because he was injured, but because Brown skipped team meetings and sat out practices. Brown reportedly had a heated dispute with an unspecified teammate, which caused him to stay away from the team. "Several sources" said Brown's Week 17 absence had nothing to do with his listed knee injury. At Wednesday's walkthrough practice, Brown reportedly erupted at the teammate and threw a football at him. He stayed away the rest of the week. Even after doing so, Brown reportedly showed up to Sunday's game, expecting to play. The Steelers did not allow him to. They wound up winning 16-13 but missed the playoffs when the Ravens outlasted the Browns.

Update on the Antonio Brown situation. No wonder Big Ben started seriously considering retirement when he was 33 years old. But $20 mil a year or whatever it is he makes is more than enough for him to put up with the antics of the assclowns he's surrounded with.

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports Antonio Brown's "heated dispute" was with Ben Roethlisberger, resulting in Brown's Week 17 inactivity. This report was echoed by The Athletic's Mark Kaboly. The football Brown allegedly threw "at a teammate" was directed at Roethlisberger, and Brown made his own decision to stay away from the team on Thursday and Friday. The Steelers did not let him play in Sunday's game. This is nothing a small pay raise wouldn't cure [typical weenieworld bs], and each NFL team will be adding $10 million to its salary cap in 2019.

Yep, don’t actually address the issue. Just give the pampered, spoiled, malcontent, juvenile afflete millions more undeserved money. That’ll teach him to act right!!!

It's interesting to hear that most DWFs do not like Tomlin. I would of thought the opposite. I was actually a Steeler fan until they hired Tomlin (I think it was 2007 - can't believe it has been that long).

I say trade Brown for a bag of footballs (a second round plus next year’s third).....
Draft Sills in the mid/late second round, plus get a solid player in next years’ draft....
Plus all the cap room you’re saving without the diva......JuJu, Washington, Sills, Eli and Switzer, plus Heyward-Bay on special teams......Vance and Jesse TE’s......Ben won’t have to worry about Brown peeing in his little girl panties when he doesn’t get the ball.....Spread it around, win games......And draft AJO in the sixth or seventh round this year.....Connor, AJO and Samuels......winning RB combination......To hell with Mayock, sign my ass up as GM.....

Tomlin's incredibly arrogant, that's the main reason he's widely disliked. And his teams regularly lose to teams they're heavily favored over, he's clueless on clock management and other basics, which adds up to a lot of dislike, even a fair amount of hate. Lack of control over his players also factors in as Tomlin basically comes across as just another one of the team's homeys.

Bill Cowher was also widely despised during The Great Eight Year Kordell Stewart Experiment, with all kinds of nasty rumors about the two being homosexual lovers.
