If true, that would be a bit absurd. Martirosyan has fought his whole career below middleweight. He also hasn't fought since May of 2016, a fight that he lost. This would be a one sided blowout in my opinion, not to mention the long list of possible opponents that would be better opposition than Martirosyan. Either way, I guess a payday for him would be good and he wouldn't have the pressure of expectations.

Yes he should take the beating of his life. But supposedly he has a strong ethnic fan base who go to his fights. At this point to get fans you need to take this in account.

If Mora hadn't fought last weekend I think he might have gotten the call for similar reasons.

I am expecting GGG to make a statement by steamrolling Vanes tomorrow night. Then to unifying all the titles with BJ Saunders in England next fall.

Where is everyone? LOL GGG made his statement. Now on to making history and money. Its going to be hard to not to fight Canela and the 20 million dollars that go with him. Or he could go to England and fight Saunder for 5 million. The odds are that in September in Vegas the rematch with Canela will take place. The big money at hand erases the sham decision last September when GGG obviously beat Canela.

I'm gonna watch the fight. I want him to break the middleweight record for title defenses. He can tie it tonight and break
Hopkins record in the fall. Let's see a knock out tonight. Come on Triple GGG!

WL, the fight is over. But I guess you are talking about catching the replay on HBO. GGG looked sensational.

LMAO Golovkin popped that poor Armenian dude right in the skull vagina. I hope Triple G fights Saunders and gets all the belts, gets Canelo hyped for another shot at the title, then retires and laughs all the way back to Kazakstan. But not before going a little WWE and nailing Bernard Hopkins with a chair.

It was a strange Saturday for boxing.

In England fugly looking Tony Bellew beat David Gaye again, this time while Gaye looked injured again he was decisively knocked down multiple times and looked shot, as his reflexes have obviously dulled, he should become a domestic stepping stone if he fights on.

On the prelim of the HBO bout the Braekhus clan were in fear for their daughter's safety but I kept on thinking of a cuckoo bird dropping Braekhus at the doorstep of the Braekhus family and the father not knowing the difference. There wasn't any background story on how Braekhus was adopted by the obvious Nordic parents, just them huddling for national television.

As for GGG vs Vanes it was a clinical win with the expected win for the record equaling bomber. The fight showed that even a mere 6 pounds is huge at the world class level as Vanes never has been bombed out like that in the 154 pound class. It's on to PEDnelo in September.....

Did anybody catch what Kellerman and Jones were saying about GGG hitting Vanes when Vanes was down? Even in a sensational ko they tried to diminish GGG victory. What a load of crap from two brain dead haters.

Jones said if he knocked a guy out like that, he would have been disqualified.

Kellerman was just being Kellerman.

I can't watch HBO without the sound down anymore.

GGG-Canelo Negotiations Falter

Negotiations for a September 15 rematch between WBC, WBA, IBF middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin and former champ Canelo Alvarez have hit an impasse.

“It’s clear to us that Golovkin doesn’t want to fight Canelo,” Canelo’s promoter Oscar De La Hoya told The Ring. “It’s clear to us that after all the demands that they made, after Canelo having to do the hair follicle test, having to enroll in VADA, having to be tested by the Nevada State Athletic Commission randomly even before he was enrolled in VADA, it’s clear that GGG is afraid. So we’re going to move on and I’m going to start making phone calls to (Daniel) Jacobs’ people, to (Billy Joe) Saunders’ people, start making calls to (Jermall) Charlo and (Spike) O’Sullivan.”

De La Hoya needs a dose of reality. GGG does't need Canelo, Canelo needs GGG. GGG knew Canelo was juicing the last time they fought, why help a cheater a second time. De La Hoya pantyhose is cutting the blood off to his brain.

If I am GGG, BJ Saunders is first on the hit list. To grab all the belts. If BJ chickens out. Then I would go after the newest black hope, the Charlo brother who can't STFU and sounds retarded.

I agree he should fight BJ Saunders next and shut his **** talking mouth up. Hopeful GGG could fight him in United States. However I doubt Saunders would go for that.

According to the closeted transvestite the fight is off because of purse demands of Golovkin( the nerve of him, lol). It looks like both camps are looking to sign to fight the next marketable opponent for September dates. If both Golovkin and PEDnelo win these bouts against Jacobs and the rumoured Saunders the rematch could be an even bigger fight.......http://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/...niel-jacobs-camp-ggg-canelo-ii-talks-collapse

PS, it's official K2 promotions doesn't have the pull of Golden Shower(Boy) productions as Golovkin and team lost their IBF belt faster than a customer burns through a 20 at the Spearmint Rhino.....https://fightnews.com/ibf-strips-golovkin-of-middleweight-title/22879#more-22879

GGG has to get Saunders in the ring and beat him. The IBF just took their belt from GGG for not defending it against their top-ranked opponent. All of this malarky for Canela taking PEDs. I think Canela beats Jacobs relatively easy. Jacobs has looked old and slow the last two fights. GGG, I don't know, but father time is undefeated. A year ago I would have said Saunders would get destroyed by GGG. Now, not so certain. Bottom line, GGG has to get a top opponent in the ring and win decisively.

I am guessing the PPV % was increased for GGG to get on board. The split of the gate remains 47.5 - 42.5 in favor of Canela. The rematch will be bigger than the first which was the 3rd all-time grossing fight. I suspect both to make 50+million each. I have GGG winning the rematch like the first fight.

Ok, less than a week to the fight. I think GGG will get the win, possibly in a devastating fashion with him draping Canela over the ropes inside 9 rds. But no man can escape father time. GGG is 37 years old. He could turn old in the ring by hanging on or getting KO'd by Canela. But I highly doubt it, because Canela will not have the Roids to get him to the end. I believe GGG will KO Canela inside 9 rounds, with Canela corner throwing in the towel.

I'm looking forward to this one - it should be a great fight between two top P4P boxers! Both are physically-fit, well-prepared, and highly motivated to win.

I think it's a 50-50 matchup. Golovkin is very likely slowing down a bit at age 37, but he's still very good.

May the best man win.

We could have our first transvestite ticket for the 2020 presidential race. Oscar and Bruce Jender.....https://fightnews.com/oscar-de-la-hoya-running-for-president/29823

In a more serious note I am expecting Golovkin to win this fight it might be fairly easy if PEDnelo was juicing so bad that his hormonal levels are off when he is clean. We have seen this before in Roid Jones and Stevia Mosley who both mysteriously fell apart after the Balco bust.

PS the only way I see PEDnelo winning is if GGG suddenly has too dull a reflexes to get his combinations flowing, it is a possibility as he is 36 and hasn't looked as sharp in his recent fights as when he was mowing down his opposition on his knockout streak.

WIR, you may be correct regarding Canela use of PEDs. Current photos show him in shape but small compared to last year. No doubt he was juicing then. Hope justice prevails Saturday.

A couple years ago I was watching a clip of Alvarez training and thinking wow that guy is ripped. Just didn't look natural. Puts a taint on the first fight and the rematch too.

Rematches can be disappointing and this one has the potential. Canelo off peds and GGG another year into the drop off zone. If Canelo loses see he was on peds all along, if he wins he beat an old guy.

Still an interesting match. But I ain't paying for it.

My rich brother is paying for it, plus he is also catering it, with an open bar, the least I can do is show up! Should be an epic fight based on what you surmised.
