WR update from wild and wooly 3rd round of the draft.

No updates on Cantrell although on the surface he seems like just the kind of WR the Chargers could utilize. And Proehl in Buffalo bares long term watching.

Elsewhere as mentioned above Berrios could very well start for the Pats and become their punt returner.

Mel Kiper and Ryan Clark of ESPN felt Quinn will make the Redskins squad. Kiper went on to say he could start fairly soon. Don't want to jump the gun, last picks rarely get a foothold, but most think Quinn is the exception. And as a sure route runner a perfect compliment to their new QB Alex Smith who is very accurate on short to mid range passes. The Redskins pulled off a hell of a draft.

Justin Watson is being compared to Jordy Nelson in some quarters. Not sure he will start just yet but over time he will prove his worth. Outstanding pick by the Bucs.

And finally regarding a draft day deal, Ryan Switzer just got let out of jail. After two years of watching Prescott I am becoming more and more convinced he is not the answer. Expect Gruden to unleash Switzer this season. He might also return both kick offs to go along with punts. Switzer with Jordy in tow looks to have talented Derek Carr open up more in the air this season perhaps employing four WR sets at times. Switzer is already listed as the number four WR and while his rookie season wasn't great ( decent with flashes)) he rarely got a chance to shine on offense.

People think Switzer lacks deep speed but I beg to differ. In a scintillating punt return on MNF with Gruden in the booth I believe, he pulled away from a Redskins DB who ran a 4.3 something at the combine. Made him look like a lumbering slow footed guy in pursuit. As for short area quickness he is as dynamic as it comes. Gruden obviously is taking cues from the Patriots with his new WR look.

Doesn't look like anyone has scooped up Ryan Moeller(CU), Dallin Leavitt(USU) Cole Reyes(UND), Bradd Ellis(Ohio), Joe Ferguson(UW). Some solid underrated "blue collared" DBs out there for great value. Let me know if I'm leaving anyone else out.

Sadly several DL prospects out there for the taking as well. Will Geary(KST)comes to mind as does Conor Sheehy(UW). Nathan Bazata (Iowa) and Nathan Tanguay(NDST) 2 more deserving interior DL prospects.

5 WRs is a great number for us! Specifically like where they landed, to WR needy teams.

So far Gruden has added Nelson, Switzer, Miller, and a white punter via free agency and draft!

Wieneke should get a fair shake in Minnesota as an UDFA, good shot at making team and or practice squad.

Acklin to Baltimore is interesting. Revolving door or washed up affletes at the postion. Now Campanaro is gone maybe Acklin can take his role as token white slot guy.

Peltier is trying out with the Eagles. Haven't seen much of him but know Lehigh has a stellar record of producing white guys at WR! Remember Ryan Spadola?! Was always impressed with a fellow Lehigh alum before Jets buried him on depth chart and faded away from league.

Vandeberg to NYJ. Speedy WR when healthy from a West coast heavy run system at Iowa.

Beebe to Colts. We've got a Beebe and a Proehl on this list. Sweet stuff.

Arizona OG Jacob Alsadek signs with Packers

Great signing. 3yr starter at Arizona , according to PFF he did not allow a sack his senior year! 6'7 325 big hoss.

Speaking of stonewalling DLinemen, fellow GB signee Austin Davis did not allow a sack his senior year either !!6'4 300lb Center out of Duke.

LB Frank Ginda was signed by the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent. Ginda led the nation with 173 tackles. He's only 20 years old.

I think Ginda deserved to be drafted. He was passed over by lesser black linebackers.

I think he has a good chance to stick with the Cardinals.

I guess leading the country in tackles at a young age doesn’t amount to any upside? Lol.

Arizona’s linebackers are pretty weak but it doesn’t matter. They jerked around Scooby Wright so I’ll expect similar disappointment with Ginda.

If you're White, leading the nation in tackles doesn't matter. A black linebacker with literally one hand will get drafted instead of you. But always remember that the NFL is a meritocracy and "the best players play." What a joke.

I think I’ve figured out the thinking on this. The crippled afflete is a supaman level talent with only one hand! Can you imagine if stem cell technology rapidly progressed to the point that humans can regrow limbs and appendages?! That level of upside is otherworldly!

Few more notes from the draft plus some juicy "inside stuff."

******* Eagles. First they take TE Dallas Goedert who was penciled in as the replacement for "just retired" Jason Witten. More on this double TE theme in a second. They may be able to use a two TE set more often because of their schemes. That is the good news. Ertz is a first class TE. But to take a rugby player who has never played football ?Here is a prediction. The Eagles are NOT winning the Super Bowl next year. To be so full of themselves to get all cutesy with an asinine pick shows to me a team knee deep in foolish arrogance. The rest of their "small" draft was standard caste. The same old stale by the book stuff.

The Patriots had a double TE set several years ago and for run heavy teams it can serve a purpose from time to time. And as a change up for pass designs. And last but not least an ideal set up for a team with a running QB. Since most of the above does not apply to Joe Flacco these picks were designed as far as I can tell to help grease Lamar Jackson into the line up sooner rather than later. On the surface a team that drafts two top white players is a great thing but in this case I would have preferred either Andrews or Hurst landing on separate teams where they could flourish more as the "main" TE.

I do not like the Saints HC Sean Payton. Mostly because of his caste ways but sometimes certain people rub you the wrong way and that is how it comes down to me with him. Like the Ravens situation there is talk that back up running QB Taysom Hill is "being groomed" to be the next in line after Brees retires. Don't you think it is more than a little strange then to see Hill flying down the field on special teams? What team would dare risk a QB injury in such a way? The answer is probably none which begs the question is all this Hill QB stuff just a bunch of BS. You won't see Lamar on special teams you can bet the house on that.

Finally a SHOUT out to the Gruden brothers. Jon got out of the gate quickly by securing Jordy Nelson with a first class presentation and offer. After seeing the people who run the Packers in draft action I think it is a blessing in disguise Jordy got out of Dodge.

Jon was not done. Recognizing that the Cowboys didn't integrate Ryan Switzer into their offense coupled with the fact the Cowboys QB is too slow twitch lumbering for a proper pin point slot WR passing scheme, he scooped him up and plans to utilize him in all sorts of ways. I predict the REAL Ryan Switzer will now emerge.

Not to be out done by his brother Jon, Jay like a laser beam secured the best natural athlete in the draft by choosing Troy Apke--you may have heard of him--- in the 4th round. Jay says the "sky is the limit" when he talks about Apke. He is thrilled to have Apke on the squad.

Now for some real details into Trey Quinn. The news is out. The front office STOPPED Jay from nabbing Trey much earlier. By the stroke of luck they got him on the last pick. At the end of the day Jay got the man he wanted. "He gets open and makes the tough catches" to quote Jay. Translating all this into simple English Quinn should have been drafted in the 4th or no later than the 5th round. But some of these front offices are "C" blockers.

[Update: While it is true a 10 year contract for Jon Gruden was excessive as alluded to in the NFL news section after all of Gruden's recent roster moves the media seems to have gotten even more impatient with him.

And the Redskins cheerleader story which took place a good 5 years ago all of a sudden is front and center.

Perhaps all of the above are coincidences but two teams that just made anti caste roster moves are all of a sudden up against the wall.]

I looked at a Redskins blog, Hogs Haven, to see the fan reaction to the selection of Troy Apke in the 4th round. I read a lot of the comments. Predictably the large majority of the comments were saying it was a bad pick.

I expected this. Whenever I look to see how a white player is viewed by the fans I expect something negative. If it's something positive I'm usually surprised.

The only exception on the part of the fans is if it's an established, star player. Any other white player they don't like.

Out of curiosity I went through the comments and predictably most of them were negative. I also noticed there seemed to be a king pin who several posters "referenced" as some sort of sage. Oddly this sage under the name Mark Tyler mumbled something about a move to nickel corner but his main thrust was very negative. With some sort of self styled authority he claims he has seen every Penn State game and "was never impressed" with Apke." He'll never see meaningful time at safety. Not a good pick " surmises this keyboard "expert."

Well ******* I too saw every game last season. The first half of the season Apke was solid and rangy. The last half of the season he seemed like the best Penn State defender out there. The last few games he dominated and was SCINTILATING in the way he could close on an opponent. He also broke up several deep passes, far from looking confused in space as you seem to think Mark Tyler.

His play got enough attention that he got picked for a post season bowl game, granted not the highest like the East /West or senior Bowl but he quickly stood out as the best player on the field and thus got invited to the Combine.

Listen you damn piss ant that claims to be a Redskins fan. I'll gladly match my "scouting" skills to your windbag BS take on things. How can anyone ,after watching Penn State play this year, especially the back half of the season, come away unimpressed with Apke?

And they keep going back to that he only started one season. When you have to fight your way through a horrid long caste maze often times white players only have a short window to impress.

And one thing I want to stop once and for all is this white DB bashing. It is prevalent and needs to be eradicated.

The worst pick of the draft was the pick of Lamar Jackson by Baltimore at the last pick of the first round. Baltimore already has a solid quarterback in Joe Flacco. Flacco is a quarterback you can win a Super Bowl with as he proved. Flacco is 33 and has many good years left.

Jackson is an overrated prospect. He'll never beat out Joe Flacco in a fair competition. He was only hyped as a prospect because of his race.

The Ravens should have used their draft capital to get some help for Flacco instead of wasting it on an overrated, over-hyped prospect at a position they're already solid at.

How many starting slot and wide recievers do you think we will have? in total we must be getting close to the best in a decade plus. Thank the good lord for Wes Welker

Definite starters: Nelson (Raiders), Hogan (Patriots), Edelman (Patriots), Amendola (Dolphins), Beasley (Cowboys), Thielen (Vikings), Humphries (Buccs), Taylor (Niners), Kupp (Rams)

Maybe starters: Switzer (Raiders), Janis (Browns), Erickson (Bengals), Carr (Saints), Watson (Buccs), McEvoy (Seahawks)

Long shots: Cantrell (Chargers), Campagnaro (Titans), Hansen (Jets), Taylor (Broncos), Dieter (Chiefs), Braverman (Chiefs), Whalen (Raiders), Quinn (Redskins)

So 4 starting outside receivers, 5 starting slot receivers, 6 possible starters, and then 8 long shots. Just a coincidence I'm guessing that the four starters allowed on the outside are one of the best receivers of the 21st century (Nelson), a guy who has dominated the last two playoffs (Hogan), one of the best receivers of 2017 (Thielen), and the best rookie receiver for 2017 (Kupp). Am I forgetting anybody?

Hard to believe. Really sickening. There seems to be ample evidence to support a class action discrimination lawsuit against the NFL and NCAA.

Of your "maybe starters" all are long shots to start except Switzer, who is currently behind Nelson, Cooper and Bryant in Oakland. Jordy may move to the slot full-time this season, leaving Cooper and Bryant outside and Switzer mainly a kick returner though that might change. Would be great to see Switzer in the slot and Jordy still outside. Carr is a light-skinned black, and the others mentioned are buried on their respective depth charts with McEvoy and Erickson currently no locks to even stick as backups. Hogan and Thielen are the only two outside receivers if Jordy is moved, and both played in the slot some last year.

Of the listed "long shots," Cantrell and Quinn have the best chance to make their teams' roster. Campanaro and Hansen should but aren't locks. Janis will probably stick as a WSTD who will play receiver only if there are injuries. Watson should stick as a backup. Austin Proehl might make it as a back up or practice squad player, and a couple of other White receivers may make rosters as deep backups or practice squaders. Kupp was a rare exception in not having to serve a lengthy racial apprenticeship, so it's unlikely any of the five White receivers who were drafted this year will see the field much, though Berrios has a shot at decent playing time.

Wisconsin Safety Joe Ferguson to tryout for Green Bay
Wisconsin DL Conor Sheehy signed as UDFA by Green Bay
Notre Dame LB Greer Martini to tryout for GB as well!

Excellent news! Very caste draft but GB's UDFA class has potential for some diamonds in the rough. Additionally they will most likely have 9 pale faced starters for 2018 season.

Dindu linebacker threatened Cowboys if they didn't draft him:

8359751.jpg

Cops were told Reed "had called members of the Dallas Cowboys and was telling them they needed to sign him. They stated he was making threats to harm people if the Cowboys did not sign him."

When cops arrived to Reed's home, Reed allegedly fessed up to making the threats -- including telling Cowboys employees he was going to "f*** their wife."

Reed explained he was "frustrated they wouldn't 'show him the real money' and sign him to a contract."

Cops ultimately determined Reed was not an imminent threat and he was not arrested.

He seems like a nice young man. What could go wrong?

Thanks the pats will almost certainly have either Berrios, Hollister or Mc Carron to fill in for Amendola as 1st string back up

One big positive out of this draft, at least, was that 12 out of the 13 quarterbacks taken were White, a refreshing change from the dark QB drafts we've seen in recent years. Despite all the hype around Eraserhead, the top 3 QBs - Mayfield, Darnold, and Allen - were the real stars of the show. The usual cuckspects tried to push additional magic dindu quarterbacks but luckily none of them were drafted.

In regards to Jackson. If there is consolation to any possible Ravens fans on Caste Football or just non-DWF's in general who root for the Ravens is that Jackson ends up in a slash type role, and that he executes it a lot better than Kordell Stewart (although it's doubtful that he will given his lack of intelligence) Kordell was a disaster as a QB. I'll never forget when Kordell threw that pick in 2001 against New England in the AFC championship game and was crying on the sidelines, then had to go back in to try and win the game right after. Talk about not instilling confidence in your teammates. I will also say, that if you watch film on the Ravens, that when Flacco's back was healthier last year, he played a lot better than he did earlier in the season. Its not his fault the vaunted (coal black) Baltimore defense gave up a TD with almost no time left to lose the game (for the life of me I can't remember who they were playing) The problem in Baltimore isn't necessarily Joe, it's Harbaugh and Ozzie.

I don't follow the Ravens too closely but my impression is that Flacco has, for many years, had a subpar supporting cast. They just need to get him some help on offense.

That's why wasting a pick on Lamar Jackson was such a mistake.

Instead of taking Jackson at 32 the Ravens could have taken offensive lineman Austin Corbett, who would have helped them more.

Then, if they wanted to move on from Flacco, they could have taken Mason Rudolph in the third. Rudolph is a better prospect than Jackson.

I'm sure the thinking was to get a black QB selected in the 1st round even if it was the last pick of the 1st round.
