No one's ever claimed blacks can't run fast in a straight line. We support the many Whites who can but who never were treated fairly in college and by the NFL. Why is it so hard to comprehend that this is a site that roots for White athletes?

Olympic sprinter Ollie Matson a HOF RB in the early 50's was around 220 pounds, then here came big Jim Brown. NCAA 100 champ/Rams WR Bob Boyd was around 220 pounds.

Herschel Walker, Marcus Dupree, Bo Jackson, Todd Gurley, Homer Jones, all big and fast. We just don't see big fast white guys. Tall and fast like Randy Moss, Usain Bolt, Tommie Smith, Calvin Johnson.

I''m trying to figue out what is really going on here. I like everybody else else thinks white athletes get a raw deal but I can't just ignore things. I've already been compared to some guy for some reason.....?

John Riggins, Matt Jones, Luke Staley, Alan Ameche, John David Crow, Paul Hornung, Harlon Hill, Del Shofner, Billy Wilson, Cris Collingsworth, Hugh Taylor, Mac Speedie, Billy Howton, Max McCaffrey, Bill Schroeder, Travis Jervey , Paul Gibson.

There have been plenty of big white people who are fast. To me the main problem is recruiting from high school to college. Julio Jones and Jeff Janis are very similar in measurements. Jones was 5 star prospect who could have went to any college he wanted. Janis had to go to Saginaw Valley State. To me that is the biggest difference.

Avante you have been here countless times under different names. The old time posters know who you are. You used to go by the username of Brutal and many others. Take your historic knowledge elsewhere. No one here cares.

We aren't allowed to simply keep it real? I can't stand black people, but I'm not blind either.
It has nothing to do with keeping it real. It's our stance that a lot of white athletes don't get the opportunities to succeed in sports such as football due to favoritism and a myth that black people will always perform better. We follow their sporting careers and like to use stats and numbers whenever possible to back up our position. This site is for us to follow and post about white athletes not black athletes. We also don't claim that black people are slow. If you want to follow black athletes and post about their past achievements, that's fine, but this isn't the site for you.

Has there ever been a study on what percentage of kids get their growth spurt early?
Not sure of the answer.....I was a big time late bloomer......A lot of my white friends were way bigger than me early in high school, it took a couple years for me to catch up and surpass.........One can prevail under certain circumstances, but it’s an uphill road......But what about white vs black when it comes to physical development?......Lots of talented kids across the board have it tough getting recruited if they’re a late bloomer.........

Again, just throwing it out there......

Good point. I think whites, in general, develop later than blacks.

My son runs highschool track and I have noticed that blacks do seem to develop at a younger age. I don't know if there are any studies to back up the theory, but I have noticed it on more than one occasion. Last week I was at a meet and the winner of the 200 looked like he was about 30 years old. My son's school isn't overly diverse but has a few black kids that run track. There is a black kid that is pretty fast. He is only 5'7 maybe, but has the build of a fully grown man and he has been like that since 8th or 9th grade. His body definitely developed faster than normal.

LOL at Jeff Demps, the 5’ 7” smurf who was listed as a RB/WR, yet had zero actual football skills. He couldn’t catch, couldn’t cut, couldn’t jump, couldn’t return kicks, and couldn’t break tackles. I remember watching him in pre-season and aside from looking completely out of his element, he looked no faster than anyone else, black or white. The white WR’s (and RB) on the Patriot roster at the time (Woodhead, Welker, and Edelman) easily beat him out.

Demps was never actually timed in the 40 yard dash at the combine or Florida’s Pro Day. Yet you listed him as a “4.3 footballer.” Wrong again, I guess.
