Supposedly the Broncos requested to have Mayfield on their roster for the Senior Bowl so they can get a close up look at Mayfield.

It's very early in the draft season but I have seen a ton of 1st round "buzz" for Baker. Going into the season I just did not think he could overcome the height issue but it appears he has done so. Next up for Baker is the senior bowl which can solidify his top of the first round status.

Mayfield had the two highest quarterback ratings in college football history the last two seasons. He was close to a QB rating of 200 the last season, using the college rating system of course.

I went on Cleveland.com to read about Baker Mayfield. I read some of the comments. There are numerous posters calling the Mayfield pick a mistake. A couple of them already proclaimed him a bust. This after the first day of OTAs. Unbelievable.

The DWFs really hate white players. They don't even want to give them a chance.

Mayfield's hand size was measured at 9 3/8 inches at the Senior Bowl. It was measured at 9 1/4 at the Combine. Browns GM John Dorsey said the Browns measured his hand size at 9 3/4. He said they had it measured three times by three different people to make sure.

Why the discrepancy? Which measurement is correct? Dorsey said that Combine measurements are sometimes wrong because they hurry players through like an assembly line. This doesn't address why the Senior Bowl measurement was 9 3/8. Maybe the same reason.

Whatever the reason Dorsey felt comfortable in making Mayfield the number one pick over all so he felt comfortable with the hand size.

It's better to have bigger hands but it's not the be all and end all of evaluating quarterbacks.

I saw over the weekend that coach Jackson said Tyrod was the man. He had an out standing camp and will be the starting qb. Hand size does't matter, if your skin is black , you will be the quarterback.

Whoever posts next on Baker, start a thread on him in the Cleveland Browns forum rather than continuing his college thread.
