For anyone who wants to see a very White ballgame, tune into the NL wildcard playoff game that's about to start right now on TBS.

The Rockies are starting 7 of 9 White players. That includes Nolan Arenado, who could be part mestizo. The Diamondbacks are starting 7 of 9 Whites as well. That includes J.D. Martinez who appears to be a White hispanic. Both starting pitchers are talented White athletes, Jon Gray and Zach Greinke.

Tuned in just in time! Much better matchup from our perspective compared to last nights AL.

Yankees vs Indians is a less White series. Both teams are only starting 4 of 9 hitters if you count Roberto Perez of the Indians. Both teams are at least starting White pitchers so it’s really 5 out of 10 critical players.

Trevor Bauer gets the game 1 win and Jay Bruce, 277 career HR's, hits a 2 run HR, double and 3RBI's to help give the Indians the victory.

Indians win game 2 as Tomlin gets the win and Jay Bruce hits another HR. Yankees Aaron Judge still hitless. Greg Bird hit HR for the Yankees,
Astros win game 2 as Dallas Kuechel gets the win. Alex Bregman homered in game 1, but it's mostly been Altuve carrying the offensive load

In the NL, the Dodgers win game 1 as Kershaw gets the win, although he struggled giving up 4 HR's. AJ Pollock and Jeff Mathis each hit HR's in the loss.
For the Dodgers, 3B Justin Turner had a historical evening. Turner hit a 3 run HR in his first AB and his 5 RBI's tied a franchise record for a post season game! Corey Seager finished with a pair of RBI's.
The Cubs take game 1 as Kyle Hendricks pitches 2 hitter! Rizzo and Bryant provided the RBI's for Chicago. Rizzo, 2/4, 2 RBI. No offensive fire power from the Nationals as Harper and Taylor had 1 single apiece.

The (((media))) has decided to turn the plot from the 1995 movie White Man's Burden into reality, at least on television. Thumbnail description: The film is set in an alternate United States that is very much the same as the real life version, except that race relations are reversed, with blacks as the social majority and whites as the social minority.

That may be, but whitey is tearing up where it counts on the field! Lester is pitching lights for the Cubs. Rizzo homers driving in Bryant after his double. Cubs winning early 3-1.
The only bad thing about this game is the Nationals are mostly white aren't hitting well at all to this point, again Lester pitching well!

Check that! Harper and Zimmerman hit HR's to give the Nats a 6-3 lead!

In yesterday's games here are the results:
The Red Sox get one back, but the Astros lead 2-1. For the Red Sox, Fister had a good outing, but Joe Kelly gets the win. Mitch Moreland having a great series went 3-5 and scored three runs and Benintendi who homered in the first game went 1-4. For the Astros, RF Josh Reddick having a pretty good series was 2-5 with an RBI. Bregman 0-4.
The Yankees get one and series is 2-1 Indians. Only one run needed for the Yankees. 1B Greg Bird hit his 2nd HR of the series!
All four games on tap for the afternoon and evening.

Red Sox trying to even the score behind Porcello, however Chris Sale has now relieved him. Must be wanting game 4 bad. Sale normally a starter not a reliever. Score is Boston 3, Astros 3. Alex Bregman just hit his 2nd HR of the series and Andrew Benintendi has homered for Boston! Top of the eighth.

Astros go up 3-1 as Verlander gets his second win of the series. Josh Reddick drove in the go ahead run in the eighth and Bregman homered for the Stros.
Cubs just went ahead of the Nats 2-1 as Rizzo drives in the go ahead run in the bottom of the eighth! Cubs looking to go up 2 games to 1 in the series.

The Dodgers sweep the Diamondbacks as Cody Bellinger and Austin Barnes hit HR's. The Dodgers now head to the NLCS to face the Cubs or the Nationals. The Cubs went up 2 games to 1 yesterday.

Yankees stun the Indians and win the series 3-2. Gardner 3-5. Jay Bruce one of the lone bright spots for Cleveland with 2HR's. Nationals even the series with the Cubs. I may not be able to update the MLB thread for a while as I will be involved with my job. Hopefully someone will update this thread as there are plenty of reasons to pay attention to baseball right now, especially in the NL!
Thank you!

OK I will try and fill in. Before I get to last night's thriller the Nationals of course have a rubber game tonight vs. the Cubs. With elite speedster Trea Turner, who has yet to do much this series, I am rooting hard for the Nats but I am not optimistic. This team has gone flat this series except for a few well timed home runs They are at home and the joint will be jumping but Dusty Baker is one of those guys that ALWAYS loses in tight spots so until proven otherwise Bryce Harper and the gang may once again go down bitterly. Even if they do win they are staring at the Dodgers. Long road to climb either way but getting Trea Turner on a national stage would be a very good thing.
No he will not be a Hall of Famer and I think he has been selected to the All Star game only once but Brett Gardner has long been a favorite of mine and man last night he showed top flight grit. He had already stroked two singles and prolonged at bats prior to his epic at bat in the 9th inning. Facing a nasty reliever I figured Brett would go down swinging at a wicked curve ball but he kept fouling off fast balls and a curve for what seemed a long time--12 or more pitches. Then with the Yanks up only one run with men on first and second Gardner's tenacity paid off as he hit a sharp liner to right knocking in a key insurance run. Another run scored on the play as the Indians played hot potato with the ball. Going into the bottom of the 9th the Yankees had a three run lead instead of just one run and that makes all the difference.
Unlike previous seasons Gardner got hot late in the season and finished up with his first 20 HR plus and 20 SB plus season. And he was excellent in LF so he could bag another Gold Glove. Plus he still has wheels. Happy to see him contribute in such an important way. Next up the tough Astros.

My take on the Nationals and yet another year with high expectations that ended up with a loud thud. And unlike last year with Baker or the year before with Matt Williams or Davey Johnson back when I can't squarely blame the manager. Unlike in the past Baker didn't make any real bone head moves this series. As for ole Dusty I was never a big fan and he has made statements in the past that infuriated me. Over his career he has been a decent regular season manager and a decidedly crappy playoff manager and that is born out by his pathetic record in clinching games. Put another notch on that collar this year. So why am I going a bit soft on him as his contract is up? They had a ton of bad injuries this year. At various points Werth, Harper and Turner were out for a long stretch and losing sparkplug lead off hitter CF Adam Eaton to an ACL tear was a crushing blow yet they still won the East going away. Eaton would have come in handy during this series. Their bullpen was beyond bad for most of the year which they did improve with some late season moves. For all that they remained a top team who fell short. And since I am concerned with who is playing and barely give much thought to a manager it is worth pointing out that over the past two seasons Baker has fielded the most white friendly team in baseball. The players including deluxe speedster Trea Turner are very fond of him because he keeps things light. Baker's early season line up was very anti caste and full of white athletes. He put Eaton in CF rather than RF where the White Sox stuck him. Harper and Werth filled out the corners so you had an all white OF filled with solid athletes. Instead of benching Zimmerman who was having trouble throwing at third he simply moved him to first where he had a banner year. And of course it took a while but once Turner made it to the big leagues last year Baker did everything he could to get the blinding speedster into the line up. This year he played solid SS and looked like a budding star albeit still in development. Far be it from me to piss on a manager who sticks his neck out for the white players so despite his dismal playoff track record the team competes at a very high level so I say bring the old grand pa back.
Next season will look a touch different. Werth will be gone and likely be replaced by current CF Taylor who is black along with a black Hispanic rookie named Robles who has gotten a lot of press. But Eaton should be back. Even so they will remain very white. But it could be Harper's last year with them because they have Robles and Taylor so I suspect they could part ways with Harper down the line because I think his contract is up after next season. Harper is a huge talent but they might be able to withstand his absence after next season? Who knows maybe they will win playoff games next year? They do have two stud pitchers.
On another note I think the Red Sox are making a grave mistake in dumping John Farrell who unlike Dusty has won a WS and has built a winner. I am very conservative. If I have a winning team even if they don't win the whole thing I would think very hard before messing with the formula. Now it is down to Dodgers-Cubs ( I am rooting for the Dodgers) and Yankees -Astros (I am rooting for the Yankees).
I like back up athletic CF Jake Marisnick of the Astros but I don't think he will play due to a broken thumb as far as I know?

Just a quick word about Yankees manager Joe Girardi and this doesn't have much to do with the caste stuff. He has won a WS and has kept his team near the top. He has also made some incredibly bad moves including recently when he didn't challenge a major call against the Indians. And the home fans booed the crap out of him for that while his front office stayed silent and didn't back him up. But in this day and age of the ******* arrogant coach see Alabama's Nick Saban, Greg Popovich ( a rotten human being) and many others, Girardi is a picture of class and good God in this day and age that is much needed. A good man and a nice contrast to the big mouths out there.

In terms of who’s the Caste favorites, I’ll give my quick take.

The NL is an obvious choice as the Dodgers are a much Whiter team than the Cubs. The Cubs do however have a few things going for them. Their 2 star hitters, Rizzo and Bryant, are White. They will also have an almost all White starting pitching unit and a White closer.

In the AL the Yankees are slightly better than the Astros. However, the Astros boast a Whiter starting pitching unit and a White closer. You could argue that this series is a push.
