May as well start a thread on this epic fight.

I see GGG winning this fight with his thumping jab from the outside all fight long. GGG will fight a tactical fight against Canelo, knowing that Canelo has fast hands and snappy power. What Canelo does not have is quick feet. GGG will approach this fight much like Lemieux and Jacobs. Using his jab with constant movement and walking down Canelo if he allows like Jacobs did.

But unlike before, GGG will want to make a statement and solidify his legacy by stopping Canelo late or have his corner throw in the towel ala Brooks. He will step on the gas towards the late rounds. This fight will have explosive moments for both, but in the end, I see GGG as the winner either by TKO or a solid tactical UD.

It could also be Canelo's night if GGG grows old in the fight. Boxing, the theater of the unexpected as Larry Merchant used to always say. I can not wait for September 16th.

It would be major comedy if GGG KOs Canelo, then retires before Goldengirl promotions can initiate the rematch clause.

Barring freak luck in favor of the White-guy-posing-as-a-Mexican, GGG wins, probably TKO when Canelo's corner refuses to let him come out for round eight. At that point Oscar thong-panties De La Hoya can start in with the loaded gloves, steroids accusations.

If the fight goes the way I suspect, Canelo may be ruined much like Meldrick Taylor vs Chavez Sr in their first fight. He was never the same, and now lives as an invalid. Like I said GGG's punishing thumping jab is the key along with his fluid foot work/ability to cut off the ring.

I used to think this fight was a slam dunk for GGG but his last fight was tougher than expected and Canelo looks to have faster hands than I thought. I think the key to the fight is if GGG can hurt Canelo with his power shots. If he can't he will probably lose on points but there should be fire works at some point in this bout.

If there were justice in the boxing world GGG and Canelo would be making 100 million plus purses and the clown show from last week would have been in the purse range of this fight(reportedly 25 to 40 million for the two fighters).

Who do you guys think is whiter, GGG, or Canelo?

I would like to see GGG win and go on to break Floyd's 50-0 record. He recently said he thinks he can fight til he is 40.

I just read from Fight News that the purses for this fight was 15 million each, Canelo gets lion's share of ppv. Also if GGG wins, Canelo can enforce a rematch clause however if Canelo wins he does not have to give GGG a rematch. Who represents GGG in his contracts ,who ever it is they have screw him over two ways, the ppv cut and making him wait two years for the fight. I like GGG, but they screw him over for years waiting for him to start slipping to give him a fight. He has slipped , it happens to all of them. I wish him the best.

Canelo is easily more European. GGG is known to be 25 percent Korean, there is no way Canelo has anything close to that in Amerindian ancestry.

This will be WAR. I predict a late round stoppage for GGG. Canelo will have his moments, but he will not be able to handle that constant punishment from the ramrod jab from GGG. GGG will parlay it's success with hammering Canelo from a distance with overhand rights and left hooks to the body. Epic fight ahead.

Alvarez is whiter in appearance, you can tell GGG has some Asian blood in him. I would support both if they played football or ran track. Based on the posted picture I would say Canelo has much larger hands.

Not too sure Canelo would want a rematch after the beatdown GGG is going to give him. Think GGG's decline is a bit exaggerated. But Canelo's people sure waited as long as they could til GGG turned 35.

GGG all the way. Too much offense for the white Mexican to handle.

Sure GGG is Eurasian. Canelo is totally Aryan in appearance, tho I strongly doubt that he identifies as such. I think he just identifies as Mexican. Ten per cent of Mexicans are Aryan. Just that we get the lowest social strata from Mexico - like everyplace else - coming here, and the darkest.

Now what kind of fix do they have planned in O.C. city Las Vegas this time? A lot of Mexican fans will be there. The odds are fairly close, about 1 1/2 to 1 in favor of GGG.

The fight is in OC (organized crime) owned Las Vegas again so besides the fight itself a big thing to consider is what kind of fix do they have planned this time? It's always something in LV. It's always something crooked in LV, from the slot machines to the politicians to the boxing refs and judges. That's pretty much a given.

Yep, and those 10% rule Mexico at the highest levels. Look at every Mexican President for the last 4o years. All Spanish and thus all European. Regarding the fight, GGG will have to KO Canelo to get the outcome he and I want without controversy.

Hey guys, BoxingSpecialist2 here now posting as BS4. This is a mega fight and I couldn't help but post on this fight so I signed up with this account just to post here on the fight

I'm doing exceptionally well in my personal life. Literally becoming rich out here in Alberta working with piping as a skilled trade. Im starting to accumulate a lot of wealth. I have a Russian buddy, who was my journeyman and boss at my last job so we're heading to the bar tonight to have a few beers (I'm not a regular drinker but tonight is a special occasion) and watch this fight. Its not often boxing is shown in bars anymore in Canada, but this is a mega fight so many bars in Calgary are actually showing it which is cool.

What to say about the fight? I think we should all be supporting GGG even though I'd consider both fighters "White".

Canelo is a classless Mexican who cherry picked his way into this fight and talks a lot of trash. I hope GGG Fcuking Ices him! Canelo and his dishonourable team have waited till the time when GGG has started to age and decline to make this fight. In reality, the best time to make this fight would have been 2 or 3 years ago.

Canelo was a so-called Middleweight champion yet demanded to fight at catchweights and fought designated losers like Khan and Chavez Jr who had no chance. He had a chance to fight GGG a year or so back but forfeited his paper title like a true cherry picker. Now that GGG looked a bit vulnerable he's agreed to the fight.

Canelo is classless and dishonourable and real boxing fans should call it like it is. He's even demanded to enter the ring last VS GGG even though GGG is boxing's longest reigning champion and the true champ. What kind of sleazy, classless, Mayweather-esque tactics are these?

GGG has looked a bit off in his last 2 fights. Fortunately, Canelo is the type of fighter who will stand and trade and to an extent and that should play into GGG's favour. I do believe GGG is stronger, hits harder, is more accurate, and has a better chin. If the fight is fought "in a phone booth" or at close quarters I expect even a faded GGG to win by KO.

GGG also needs to understand that he likely needs to win by KO. I don't say it's impossible to win a decision but it's unlikely and he should expect the judging to favour the classless Mexican. If GGG wins, he is 1 fight short of tying the all-time record for Middleweight defenses and will go down as perhaps the greatest Middleweight ever.

This is a big fight that should deliver in ways Mayweather's fights never did.

I predict and hope for GGG by KTFO.

Golden Boy yesterday, is up to their dirty tricks. Look closely at the weigh-in. Team GGG was not able to verify the weight of Canelo. Instead, Canelo hopped off the scale, the "official" quickly slid the weight to the right and then yelled the weight to Buffer who had yet to hear the weight. What's is more shocking is Loeffler did not object it! Just stood there looking into the ocean of fans. GGG will have to KO Canelo to get the W.

Welcome back. What happened to the BS3 account? Will you be BS5 next time you post?

I agree, it is unlikely GGG can win a decision there. He wins by KO or Canelo will get a controversial SD. No rematch.

Canelo is a bit overrated as a puncher, but also underrated as a boxer. His smart upper body movement helps with a good overall defense. He has a good chin. Quicker hands than GGG but slower feet. A very good conventional boxer.

GGG is more unconventional. He'll be harder for Canelo to figure out. And somewhere in that learning curve lies the danger of Canelo getting buzzed and not being able to turn with or block the follow-up.

Their power is different too. Canelo has more noisy surface power. His punches are fast with a bit of a slap to them sometimes. They look more impressive than they are sometimes. More pop than bang. I don't know if he can hurt GGG with that.

GGG has a deeper, more quiet power that comes up through his legs. That's why he hurts opponents with punches that don't look to be that much. Remains to be seen how Canelo handles it. Jacobs was mostly able to, but he played games with the weigh-in and was basically a light heavyweight. Canelo on the other hand is moving up.

Triple G has wanted this fight for a while, whereas Canelo has more or less been forced into it.

I like GGG in this one.

Anyone interested, go the ESB and they are streaming the Saunders vs Monroe fight with excellent quality. No doubt it's second-tier middleweight match. But I have come to be annoyed by Saunders big mouth with no bite to it. He could change my mind with a dominate performance by one of GGG's victims. Let's see.
