I have not been following the 2018 recruiting much yet but rb , Slade Bolden , has added the Alabama offer to his warm list on 247 sports. He previously just had LSU and some other team on there. I think I owe all caste posters like $20 if he signs with Alabama and is used as a rb. He may sign with them but there is no way he will play rb there. Maybe in the slot but I would rather see him go to LSu as a rb. It was his favorite team growing up so that is where my $ still is... I hope :(

I finally got a chance to get a long look at Colorado rb , Max Borghi. I think Washington State might get the next coming of Christian McCaffrey. This kid is the total package. He is only maybe a little less decisive with his footwork but the moves and speed are quite evident. I don't know how Washington State plans on using him but this kid is probably the best rb in the class of 2018 though I have not watched much video on the other black backs much as they tend to be highly overrated. Leonard Fournette played the same way in high school as he does now which is why he will be a marginal player at best in the NFL.

DT commits to Virginia

It's a telling story of the Caste system in action and kudos to Mendenhall for thinking outside the prescribed Caste box and offer him at DT instead of OL. You'll notice that 247Sports still has him listed as OL, even though he was first team all-conference DEFENSIVE tackle in high school...

Here are some telling excerpts:

"I went down for the camp and I started out at offensive line," he added, "and we got to a 1-on-1 run drill and I went as an offensive tackle and I think I did pretty well. And then Coach Mendenhall comes over and says, "Hey Ramer, go play some defensive end real quick." So I thought, 'Alright,' and so I played defense for a while. And Coach Mendenhall said he really liked what he saw and he told me to work with the defense for the rest of the day."

Now, unlike some guys who get flipped from offense to defense, Ramer has a pretty good feel for the position.

"The fact that I had a bunch of offers already for offensive tackle rather than defensive tackle, it did kind of shock me," he said. "I was kind of surprised he wanted to see me on defense because no one else saw that side of me compared to offense. But I was first team all-conference defensive tackle so I have played defense, I've played both side of the ball since sophomore year.

...

"When we got back after the tour and seeing the stadium and everything, I went back up to talk to Coach Mendenhall and Coach So'oto," Ramer added. "Coach So'oto showed me some clips of where I'd be playing and how to play it. It really felt like to me he was already starting to coach me. I felt like I was already a part of the D-line there."

Position wise, Ramer said that So'oto's intentions were very clear.

"I will be playing the nose, right over the center," he said. "We run a 4-4 at my school but sometimes we go to the Bear and then this year, I'll play the 0 technique a lot too. So I'll get to play nose in our defense here before I get to UVa."

Iowa offers Athlete from Illinois. It's his first "Power 5" offer (of course). I mean, who in their right mind would want a player that's currently 6'1" 196 lbs (and will probably be 6'2" 200lbs+ by the end of his Senior year) ran a 4.46/40 at Illinois' camp last summer and just led his team to a state title while rushing for 2,211 yards and 43 touchdowns? Obviously, not Illini coach "Hatie" Smith. So much "White Privilege" I can't stand it

Good find......I just read that Rivals has him committing to Iowa......I hope he sticks there and at RB......

WR commits to Tulsa
OLB commits to Auburn - Auburn's first White recruit for 2018 Class
OT commits to Alabama - Alabama's first White recruit for 2018 Class (minus a Punter)

Not sure if I like the last 2 ending up at Alabama and Auburn in the SEC.. Sounds like a racial apprenticeship and a transfer waiting to happen. Good for Sawyer committing after his 1st D1 offer. Should have more but Tulsa is a LOT better than most on the white athlete fairness scale.

It looks like Michigan State is loading up on the d line talent. They have two 3 star twin brothers coming in from Ohio at DE and have another highly touted lb as well. Now if they would give a white rb a chance like Blake Ezor instead of the Riley Bullough experiment I could be happy for them.

I've noticed that as well. Perhaps getting back to basics. Some blue collared hardworkers are needed after all the off field trouble they've had with the affletes last few years haha.

Plus, there's another White LB that will probably commit to them soon. Note that he's a 4-Star prospect with great size, but where are the major programs offering him? Look at the list of schools offering him. He's from Ohio, so where's "Urban" Meyer? Why isn't he interested in a 4-Star in-state LB? I know, a rhetorical question as he doesn't have the requisite melanin and "Urban" is too busy slumming Florida for some real affletes. Pathetic.

I just read an article about Bolden.....The Alabama coaches said he'd be great in the slot...
Has the right body for that position......It may be his smartest route to the NFL, but me as a fan would love to see him stick carrying the ball.......
