The NFL Combine, Draft and League is about as anti white as an organization can be. I would have to say that
even the NBA has gotten a little better over the last decade while the NFL gets worse by the year & decade.

The Caste System is not going to end without a tremendous fight. They want sports to reflect society. So sad.

well, it has gotten worse this year, AGAIN... We used to get people drafted in rounds 5-7, now not even this? Has anyone crunched the numbers yet? It feels like it was the worst one yet.

It was probably around 40 white players not including specialists. I don't feel like doing the actual numbers this year. Someone else can if they feel compelled.

The most important thing in this draft are the WRs - specifically the UDFAs that have been signed. We should have at least 15 UDFAs this year in camps.

I just finished crunching the numbers, because I'm a geek ppl like that, I suppose. Double-checked my work and here is what I've got:
1st round - 5
2nd - 5
3rd - 7
4th - 5
5th - 10
6th - 6
7th - 6

For a grand total of 44. Glad I could help.

How many were drafted, 253? If that was the number then the White percentage is 17.4%.

Yes sir, 44 / 253

In an odd bright spot, Louisville's long snapper, Colin Holba, was drafted by the Steelers in the 6th round (the only long snapper drafted). He was valedictorian at the largest high school in Kentucky, and an academic All-American in college. No D1 or D2 schools recruited him, so he was a walk on at Louisville his first two seasons.

A tiny bit better than 2015. That one was only 15% White.

Caff and the White WRs prevent this from being the worst draft ever. The lack of White QBs make it close.

At least going into this draft our expectations were not that high. The black QBs who were drafted this year probably won't amount to much and ideally set their franchises back. The narrative of exciting upside laden black QBs replacing boring white vet QBs who have torched the coal black secondaries over the past decade mostly went by the wayside.

Chad Kelly is the most relevant Mr. Irrelevant ever
This tradition started when the draft had at least 14 rounds and that class of player really had no shot of making a roster. These days with 7 rounds many quality players never get drafted and the last guy is still a very good player who probably wont have to be rushing to Kinkos to mass print his resume after training camp ends.

Personally, I didn't think this draft was bad at all. Sure, the overall numbers were pathetic...but they always are.

Positives:

A superstar white RB (McCaffrey) was drafted in the first round, the first in 25 years. Who among us thought that a white RB, no matter how talented, would ever go at #8 overall?

4 white WR's drafted (Kupp, Switzer, Hansen, Taylor) in the first 5 rounds to teams that actually need them. The Jets, 48ers, and Rams, in particular, are extremely thin at WR. Personally, I think Taylor (who led the NCAA in receiving yards last year) is a potential mega-star. Perhaps the "copycat" league finally realized that a team with an all-white receiving corps won 2 out of the last 3 Superbowls?

2 white DT's were drafted (Glasgow and Ivie). Pretty rare.

There were 5 non-white QB's drafted...but few of them will ever see the field.

As we all know, the vast majority of the hundreds of obscure blacks and Polynesians drafted will be busts with a year or two. And that's after you weed out the ones who are instantly injured, get arrested, go AWOL, can't grasp NFL play books, and get cut/waived/released before their first season. It happens every single year and it'll happen again. Meanwhile, the whites drafted will work hard, pay their dues, make the squad and wait for their chance.

I am having trouble grading this rollercoaster of a draft. If it was a movie the opening salvo was excellent (round 1) but then it got flat real quick (rounds 2 and 3). Suddenly the plot started kicking in and things got interesting (rounds 4 and 5) until the long drawn out ending that went nowhere (rounds 6 and 7). It is almost as if the Director left the ending on the cutting room floor by accident. The problem is this draft was loaded with potential and after seeing 4 WR's drafted before the 6th round you figured more goodies were on the way but the bottom just fell out. They showed a clip of a Virginia Tech WR Isiah Ford who was drafted by Miami in the 7th round. At first I thought the clips were in slow mo but no he was "slightly" faster than a turtle. No quickness no deep speed no anything. It looked like a high school clip.
17.4% white guys is pretty damn bad and rest assured this draft was full of mediocre blacks. And all college season long teams were getting torched in the passing game but somehow all these damn black DB's ended up being being drafted by the truck load.
But I have to be realistic and I didn't totally lose it this year so I will give it a B which makes it one of the better drafts in recent memory.
Four genuine caste busters were prominent and they all landed on ace big media teams for exposure. Like post above the groundbreaking (no pun intended) 8th pick Christian really helped brighten things up. TJ Watt getting picked in the first round as a defensive disrupter( I love hybrid OLB/DE's) was good to see. Chad Hansen who Kiper compared to Eric Decker and will get down the field with better than average speed and catch radius. And I think we are all partial to the little guy out of NC Ryan Switzer who just reeks with excitement.
The Cowboys coach, who I think is a decent man, plans to use Switzer as their punt returner and work him in the slot. Don't be surprised to see four man WR sets with two slot guys (Beasley and Switzer) just like the Pats. Hell that was the KEY reason the Pats won the Super Bowl.
The 49ers did a good job with tough Trent Taylor (reminds me of Welker) and fast TE George Kittle. And he is a real TE. Unlike some of these so called black TE's who were drafted who can't block which makes them big and or fat WR's not TE's.
Nice to see Pack get LB Biegel and the Saints picked up two athletic defensive players , LB Anzalone and DE Hendrickson.
And I have a soft spot for white skill Nebraska players so good to see S Gerry get picked.
The fourth WR Kupp landed in a good spot for him with the Rams who needed WR's.
A few other defensive guys got picked and Denver drafted two guys who will be coming off torn ACL's, TE Jake Butt and QB Chad Kelly. Kelly has the raw material so he is worth the pick even if there are consistency issues. Still beats getting a certified mediocre black player in the late rounds--never seen so many underwhelming black guys get picked.
After Hansen got picked by the Jets a thought traveled through my mind that maybe NFL people were thinking about this caste football site and that they better get with it. Ha Ha. Fleeting thought of course but listening to Mel Kiper I got the Impression that The Pats DID play some role in getting 4 WR's picked and notably in earlier rounds than in the past. Particularly the smaller guys like Taylor and Switzer. It is just too bad the NFL people were too afraid to follow up that line of thinking. If they had we could have seen one to three more WR's drafted in the late rounds. At least the best QB Trubisky was the first QB off the board. I think he will turn out great .
So it could have been better no doubt but still there were some positives to take away. We have seen worse.

I agree with Shadowlight and Thrashen about the good quality of the White players taken and their landing spots, but lack of quantity is the problem. Of course many (most) of the blacks will flame out, but the sheer volume of them ensures that the NFL will remain overwhelmingly black. And most of the Whites who do end up succeeding will have to go through the disgusting practice of racial apprenticeships if they aren't quickly out of the league altogether.

McCaffrey is a taboo buster, and Whites continue to make very tiny, incremental progress at WR, but defense will remain a 90% black thang, and the o-lines aren't going to have fewer sumos starting. Add in the latest highly touted black quarterbacks, and there's no way this draft is going to do anything but make the most superficial of dents in the Caste System.

Anyway, the NFL Draft is merely the culmination of systemic racism and negative stereotyping of White football players that begins almost from birth. Until grassroots attitudes change, and scouting, recruiting, opportunities, etc., the NFL will keep doing what it does every year.

Here's a breakdown of the teams and the number of Whites they drafted out of their total number of picks as well as their position and last name, in no particular order:

Bears 2/5 - QB Trubinsky, TE Shaheen
Browns 1/10 K Gonzalez
49ers 3/10 - QB Beathard, TE Kittle, WR Taylor
Jaguars 0/7
Titans 1/9 - OG, Levin
Jets 2/9 - WR Hansen, LB Donahue
Chargers 2/7 - OG Lamp, OG Feeney
Panthers 2/7 - RB McCaffrey, K Butker
Bengals 4/11 - DT Glasgow, K Elliott, OT Dielman, TE Schreck
Chiefs 0/6
Saints 3/7 - OT Ramczyk, OLB Anzalone, DT Hendrickson
Texans 0/7
Cardinals 1/7 - OT Holden
Eagles 1/8 - S Gerry
Colts 0/8
Ravens 0/7
Redskins 1/10 - C Roullier
Bucs 0/6
Broncos 3/8 - OT Bolles, TE Butt, QB Kelly
Lions 1/9 - DE O’Connor
Dolphins 0/7
Giants 2/6 - QB Webb, OT Bisnowaty
Raiders 0/9
Falcons 2/6 - OG Harlow, TE Saubert
Bills 3/6 - OLB Milano, QB Peterman, OLB Vallejo
Cowboys 2/9 - WR Switzer, DT Ivie
Steelers 2/8 - OLB Watt, LS Holba
Packers 1/10 - OLB Biegel
Seahawks 1/11 - C Pocic
Vikings 2/11 - C Elfein, ILB Gedeon
Rams 2/8 - WR Kupp, FB Rogers
Patriots 1/4 - OT McDermott

Whereas there was somewhat of a White reclamation at the OL position last year, this year it was "Revenge of the Sumos".

Really anxious to see where Musso, Haines, Harrington end up as UDFAs. Kinda cool to see Taysom Hill sign with the Pack! Be interesting to see if he stays at QB or they transition him to Safety..

I think Chad Kelly was the best pick in the entire draft. To get a potential starter with a late 7th round pick is great value.

He goes to a good spot for him. He can redshirt for a year, fully recover from his injury and learn the ropes.

So the Bills have the best percentage, followed by the Saints and Bengals. If we discount the kicker drafted by the Bengals, other teams move ahead of them.
