If they do it needs to be in Russia with a Russian referee and 3 Russian judges.

If it ever does happen -and I don't think it will- it would go to Weasel #2's hometown Oakland.

Also I recall Kellerman at his jock sniffing best suggested that the judges felt Ward had the momentum down the stretch, true he did to a point(I thought Kovalev blunted by taking a few timely rounds down the stretch) and they were swayed by the momentum to score the fight for Ward. This is a false narrative as the scorecards are submitted after every round and are scored as separate events that form a running total. Also Kellerman hinted about potential hankey pankey when he stated that he felt Ward won some early rounds which were pretty much shutout rounds for Kovalev.

Duva could try to get this investigated but that's almost always just a waste of time. Crookery has to be prevented. Kovalev was the champion, he didn't have to accept these guys below as the judges:

I stand corrected. Sort of. Duva just said she will invoke rematch clause on Monday. Ward not allowed to fight an interim. Fight must be on "neutral" ground anywhere but Russia or California. Oh yeah, Kathy Duva is a real toughie of a negotiator.

From the man:

Kovalev: I lost maybe three rounds the whole fight
Former unified light heavyweight world champion Sergey Kovalev after being dethroned via narrow unanimous decision by Andre Ward.

“It’s the wrong decision. I don’t want to say my opinion. The witnesses are here – they saw it. It’s my job. It was a fight of my life. I am disappointed in the judges’ decision. He got maybe a few rounds, I agree with that. I kept control. I lost maybe three rounds the whole fight…of course, I want a rematch and I will kick his ass. I want to show good boxing. I am against here it is the USA and all the judges were from the USA. He is a boxer. It’s a sport, don’t make it politics. It’s a sport and I won the fight!”

From the guttersnake:

Ward: I wasn’t surprised when I heard the decision
Andre Ward after his razor-thin unanimous decision win over unified light heavyweight world champion Sergey Kovalev:

“No, I was not surprised when I heard the decision, I don’t’ know where you got that from. I know it was a close fight – the crowd you can hear they thought I won…I have been a champ before I knew it was going to be a tough fight – it was the first time in my career I was dropped…He did everything I expected him to do. He started to show up as I expected he started to fight like I expected. My coach did a great job…It’s hard for me to call myself great. At the end of the day I am a two-weight division champion. Of course, I would do a rematch. I am not going to negotiate a fight right now I will go home and relax and see what’s next.”

Same link as above.

Of course he wasn't surprised. American judges mixed with bookies and political incentives would never let a Russian be "P4P". Guttersnake likely knew he had only to survive to "win". And Kathy Duva is a fool to negotiate-out any re-match fight in Russia.

Scorecards aren't facts. The video record of the fight is fact. Just as I predicted, Judges must have been counting tap-tap-tap slaps during clinches to get scores like these. What a scam. Most judges know those taps during clinches are not counted as "connects" as they are just flies off a bulls ass. And in most of the clinches, Kovalev tossed Ward around and leaned on him.

Are those goofy slaps in clinches counted in their stupid Compubox numbers!? No wonder they are so skewed. Even those numbers tho showed K landed more punches and power punches, and then there was the KO. How do they all figure Ward won round twelve? They needed to get their numbers up, that's how. Anyway, one consolation, I don't think any of us here paid one penny to the crooks to watch it.

Judges scorecards and statistics like Compubox are all manipulation. Since Ward landed but a few handful of headshots, and almost nothing at long and mid range, the only "shots" he landed were during the clinches. The fight was like an older brother beating up on a guy who hit his little brother. While holding, Ward did what all fighters do and tap away just to irritate their opponent who is out boxing them. So what other punches could the judges have counted????? I've watched thousands of fights in my lifetime and judges, including the amateurs, don't count that crap. I have judged amateir fights and we never count those because if we did there would be no boxing -the fights would look like hockey fights where one guy holds another and punches with his free arm.

Yep. Someone is putting numbers into that compubox, tapping their fingers on some buttons, and they are working for the same mugs that the judges and the refereee are working for.

Not a boxing fan, but I follow this thread. It's amazing that everyone here called it exactly right. That there was no way Kovalev could win a decision. That the referee would help Ward. When Vegas made Ward a favorite, they were suckering everyone in to bet Kovalev. I guess that's why boxing is now a fringe sport. They don't give the fans the fights they want to see, and when they do, it's either a dud (mayweather/pacquiao) or rigged. Judging from the fighters' post fight statements, they both know Kovalev won.

Just watched the fight on Youtube. I agree with 116-111. The closest it could have been was 115-112, but that's a stretch. Kovalev was the effective aggressor all fight, landed more punches, knocked Ward down, and was the champ going into the fight. The decision for Ward was horrible.

Tmrw on BSPN, I look forward to DanRafael's scorecard recap on this sham decision. According to his twitter account he is incensed about the decision. I respect him as one the best Boxing analysis.

Even Stephen A. Smith of all people doesn't think Ward deserved it.

I'm sorry. Love Ward as a fighter and person. Glad he won.....but he did not deserve this. Fair-is-Fair. Kovalev got robbed!#BadDecision

Ward gets unanimous 114-113 decision on all 3 scorecards. Love, love, love Ward. But he did not deserve this. Kovalev won a close fight.

Look at round 10 as a perfect example. Kovalev beats him up with his jab alone. Beats him to the jab. Judges scored it Ward.

Round ten was indeed the perfect example. The three of them must have gotten their muzzles together and decided on the that one. Even Little Bug Eyes said that Kovalev won round ten.

Hey if the American boxing gangsters want to hold their boxing matches in Las Vegas the Russians should hold their boxing matches in Grozny!
