Tommy La Stella

Kid was drafted in the 8th round out of college and is now the starting 2nd baseman for the Braves.

I was just wondering if we (as the collective caste football family) would consider him as white tho? He is definitely at least half italian, that much I know but he seems really dark for a white person.

It would be great if he were a white however, as the traditionally white position of 2nd base is currently without many young white prospects. The only ones I can think of off the top of my head are Scooter Gennet and Joe Panik (who will likely be sent down to the minors later if he cannot start hitting).

Anyway. Just wanted to know what everyones opinion on the racial classification of the kid is. Id post a picture but I do not know how.

Thats what I figured. Im from Minnesota so Im not used to seeing white people as dark as him.

Aren't there a lot of Puerto Ricans up in the area as well? Is it known that his mom is italian and not some puerto rican/cuban girl which attributes to how dark he looks?

Harper,Rockies have a young stud 2nd basemen as well DJ LeMaheu batting .300. like we've discussed many times La Stella is Italian/Sicilian name they get tan!

I forgot about Lemehieu! I'm a fan of the Rockies and their farm system overall, lots of young white talent there. Josh Ruteldge is another young white 2nd baseman on the team and they just recently drafted a young white middle infielder in Forrest Wall

Also,concerning La Stella, the fathers side is 100% italian in my book. Ive seen videos and photos of him and he looks white. I'm more concerned with his mother as she could be the source of his dark features and ******* lips. If anyone has any pictures of her it would really help.
