Yup, most definitely not a league artificially propped up by the media never shutting the **** up about it.

oddly enough if you combine the 3-4 and 5 categories you'll get roughly the % of blacks in the US and if you combine the 0 and 1 categories you'll get roughly the % of whites in the US

I don't give a bunk about the arch-caste Yo.B.A & its tat'd up thugs. It's nothing but (grossly) overhyped ghetto ball. If they never played another quarter of it, I'd not lose 1 iota of sleep. P1ss on the castean hypers & the DWF jock sniffers who worship that mess.

I'm a casual NBA viewer.. I'm watchin' the Spurs, & will probably watch most of the late Clippers game. But the truth is, Christmas NBA has never equaled the pop-cultural tradition of Thanksgiving day NFL, or New Year's day Bowl games.
They've had a Christmas day lineup since the '40s, and it still seems irrelevant beyond the world of harder core sports fans & egg-nog guzzling DWFs; while everybody knows about football on Thanksgiving..

The NBA peddling 'special' Christmas Day crap & Jordans,.. Jalen Rose's moronic half-time commentary, 12 hours of thugs taking the rock to the hole.. it's a niche event. The idea of Grandma & Grandpa from the Norman Rockwell painting, @ home with the family, in their Lebron & Birdman jerseys is absurd.

For as much time as ESPN dedicates to ESPN you'd think a sizeable chunk of the population would atleast watch 1-2 games.

I haven't watched an NBA game so far this year, and it's even money if I watch one all year. Maybe the playoffs, and it's on somewhere in my line of sight. There was a time when I watched it consistently. I didn't leave basketball, it left me.

I have a suspicion that the reason American born White players are not as good as foreign Whites is because the Blacks are stunting their growth.

Basketball use to be my favorite sport watching or playing...It is now unwatchable for me......each team scores over 90 points a game with a huge amounts of missed shots. I like scoring in sports but basketball is over the top....Football is slowly getting that way too.

I never liked basketball. I always found to be a bunch of skinny guys running around not making any contact. I was more into football, wrestling, hockey, and baseball.
Now I have an even bigger reason and that is the fact that the media goes overboard to cater to black culture. I've noticed that the majority of white players in the game try to sound and act black. I would for no amount of money degrade my own culture to satisfy the media.
I believe the best way for us to win is for basketball to die. The best way to do that is to not watch the games and don't by any merchandise.

When I watch old footage of NBA games from the 1980s, I notice that in some cases the teams are even Blacker than today, but that there were a lot more American Whites than foreign Whites.

A clear constant is that what Whites there are in the league tend to be better than average, and that fundamental skills were superior to today's players.

People go on and on about how supposedly today's game is so great and that the athletes are amazing, but they're just trying to sell us all a bill of goods because it's obvious that the quality of the NBA product has declined. Just watching a portion of the Lakers/Heat game on Christmas day was painful. Shot after wide-open shot, BRIIIIICK.

And then listening to that jackass announcer call I-can't-remember-his-name "the greatest 3 point shooter of all time."

Uh, okay. Better than Bird? Reggie Miller? I mean seriously man, stfu, just because he scored more 3s in today's water-soup league, yuck.

I've started paying a little more attention to the NBA recently, because there are actually more good white players than I have seen in some time.

With the exception of QB and Kickers in the NFL, I think there actually more whites among NBA stat leaders than NFL stat leaders.

The last time I updated there were 13 white rebounders among the top 40 in the NBA or 31%.

There were 12 white players among the top 52 leading scorers, or 23%.

12 in the top 40 in assists, or 30%

10 among the top 30 in blocks, or 33%.

NFL QB's 30 of 38 passing leaders are white, or 79%.

White RB's 0 among top 40, or 0%

White WR, 8 in the top 50, or 16%.

White sack leaders, 9 in top 50, or 18%.

White INT. leaders, 4/5, in top 50, or 8-10%.

White tackle leaders, 9/10 in top 50, or 18-20%

These numbers change constantly and I could be off a percentage or 2, or I may have missed a player or 2, however, again with the exception of QB, these number are eerily similar or worse for white NFL players!!!!

A recent Harris poll shows NBA is the fifth most popular sport in America. ESPN makes it seem like it's 1 or 2.
1 NFL 35 %
2. MLB 14%
3. College football 11%
4. Auto racing 7%
5. NBA 6%
6. NHL 5%
7. College basketball 3%

Yea, I saw this as well. Is there any doubt that hockey would pass the NBA if they had a similar TV network deal as well as the endless promotion of highlights on sports recap shows? Also, NBA affletes get exponentially more commercials and product spokespersons deals than NHL players. Based on the popularity polls, advertisers are wasting their resources. Derrick Rose, Blake Griffin, Chris Paul, even John Wall etc are featured in commercials but yet Patrick Kane is not a household name or recognized face? More pro-black pandering and nonsense.

ESPN talks about NBA more than they do the NFL. It's ridiculous.

As was discussed on these boards several times before, I think the NBA considerably more popular in the 90's, especially among whites. We had white American living legends during that time in John Stockton and Larry Bird. The only whites who watch the NBA these days are wiggers. Of course among negroes it's the most popular sport I imagine, even more so than the NFL.

It's funny here in Oklahoma nobody cared about the NBA until the Thunder came. Now, everybody loves the Thunder, 95% White middle-class Republicans with their Thunder **** as soon as college football is over. They think it makes oklahoma relevant, but none of the players live here. Ownership makes sure not to have any thugs on the team. I've been to a couple games and the hip hop music never stops. Stupid, geeky white fans spend $50 - $250 per ticket, with their KD jerseys. Once Durant and Westbrook leave, OKC will become a basketball wasteland and all the newbie fans will disappear.

Free,
I've seen the loop of Chris Paul (State Farm) ads. Paul with his Urkel'esque fictitious alter-ego, and now Paul's young son has been cast & featured too.
I like Paul's game, but it's hard for me to understand how the guy is selling insurance. I get State Farm is probably trying to expand their customer base using an NBA player that would appeal to a young, urban demographic. But are guys in the 'hood buyin flood insurance(?) Earlier posters were talking about an artificial underwriting of the NBA's popularity by corporate interests.. Is that all this, some kind of corporate charity work ? I couldn't find anything online about State Farm's customer demographics.

And I agree, Kane & Crosby could & should be household names, but the NHL is lacking some corporate cultivation.

Yes, good point about insurance companies using blacks in their advertisements. The notion of blacks buying any form of insurance is a ridiculous premise whether it be flood, life, health, dental or car insurance. Sure blacks will buy the minimal mandated car insurance but nothing more. Health insurance they get from daddy Fed government. Life insurance? Ha, they don't give a hoot about their baby mommas or children anyway so paying for their well being if they should die must seem like an alien concept. Dental....well only if it covers gold, jewelry encrusted "grills". Of course there are the middle class exceptions but they make up such a minor percentage of the overall US population it's negligible.

No, it's not advertisers trying to market to blacks. They market to gullible Whites who admire blacks, to promote Cultural Marxism, to give work to black actors at disproportionate rates and to give endorsements to black athletes at disproportionate rates. I'd wager these commercials do nothing to improve company sales.

The most retarded afflete endorsement is Blake Griffin peddling GameFly. Black video game interests consist of Madden and NBA 2K.
