Jameis Winston, according to a statement reported Wednesday by the Tampa Bay Times, allegedly raped a woman last December.

Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston allegedly did far more than sexually assault a woman ... she says he RAPED her, and cops then warned her that she was living in Winston country and she had better back down if she knew what was good for her.

The alleged victim just went public with the alleged corrupt investigation by the Tallahassee Police Dept., in which she claims she immediately reported the incident back in December to cops, but was later told, Tallahassee was a big football town and that she would be "raked over the coals" and her life "will be made miserable" if she pursued it.

I couldn't agree more. His accuracy on the short to intermediate throws did not look good at all. Very little touch.

What I see with Newton this year is that the OC, Mike Shula, has truly tailored the offense to his strengths. Newton, like most black QBs, will never be a pocket passer, so Shula has make the most of the running and read-option ability that sCam has. He also benefits tremendously from his cracka tight end, Greg Olson, who is one of the best.
Aside from that, what really makes this team go is the defense. Can they do some damage? Sure. Most of the time, Keuchly and the D will keep them close, and sCam is hard to bring down, so he can do a poor man's version of the Ben Roethlisberger escape and chuck, which is very hard to defend.

I'll go with 2013 season's "elite" (grade "A+") quarterbacks being those having a Passer Rating of over 100. That's Manning, Rogers, Brees, Wilson, & Rivers.
Below the elites with Passer Ratings in the 90's (Grade "A") are Romo, Stafford, Newton, & Roethlisberger.

In the 80's (Grade "B") are Ryan, Cutler, Glennon, Luck, Dalton, Brady, Griffin, Manuel, Kaepernick, Tannehill, Alex Smith, & Palmer.

The rest are below 80. I use 200 passing attempts as my cut off for inclusion so no Foles yet.
The lowest rated quarterbacks are Eli Manning (70.8), Tyrelle Pryor (69.0) and Geno Smith (65.1).

Incredibly, there are still members of the media who say that the jury is still out on whether or not Terrelle Pryor is the future for Oakland.

This, of course, is nonsense. Pryor obviously can't do the job.

He's insanely overrated regardless of the whole rape thing. So many short passes that go for 50 yard TDs against horrendous ACC defenses. Then the next day the ESPN analysts are hyping his statline.

It's funny how him and McCarron are basically in the same position, they both play quarterback for extremely talented teams; probably the two most talented teams in the country. Yet McCarron is just a boring game manager who's just there for the ride, and Jameis Winston on the other hand is the best player in all of college football. He's the main reason for his team's success according to the DWF and the media. I'll give him credit for one thing though, he's got a great nickname, Jameis the Rapist. Has a nice ring to it don't you think ? It definitely beats the DWF's "Rapelisberger".

My take on Winston is that he has Jamarcus Russsell written all over him. I think with the addition of the rape charges it will give teams cover to not draft him high. Seriously with the bombing of so many quotablacks this year I think the stock market is going to sag on them. This guy is going to get the worst treatment, especially if the charges amount to anything.

I don't really see the JaMarcus comparison, Winston is a completely different type of player. As a player, he reminds me more of Gremlin, except that RG3 isn't your typical ghetto black like Winston seems to be. So I guess if you made a Gremlin/Marcus Vick combo, you'd end up with Jameis Winston.

Stats never tell the complete story, I have seen performances that look great on paper but were essentially YAC or jump balls that receivers had a great performance catching. I'll put one on Favre, the day after his dad's untimely passing he put up huge numbers, but essentially it was him putting the ball up and his receivers taking it away. Show me a QB who can look off a DB then put the ball just where it needs to be because he created just the right amount of space, IMO very few can do this reliably. Last I seen of the Panther's game yesterday Scam had a 26 rating till they decided that Olsen (without him Scam would probably be in bust category, IMO) could get wiiiiide open.

I probably shouldn't complain about how the passer ratings are figured, but just checking the current leaders and something looks kind of wrong in the case of Cam Newton and Tom Brady...

16. Cam Newton: 208 comp./337 att. 61.7 Comp%, 2,353 yds. passing 17 TD's 9 Int. Rating: 88.3

18. Tom Brady: 257 comp./430 att. 59.8 Comp%, 2,896 yds. passing 17 TD's 7 Int. Rating: 86.3

I know it's not overwhelmingly in Brady's favor, but to me his stats are better than Newton's and then if you look a Russell Wilson, he's number 6 with stats not much better than Brady's or Newton's!

6. Russell Wilson: 176 comp./275 att. 64.0 Comp%, 2,362 yds. Passing 17 TD's 6 Int. Rating: 105.1

I don't know, maybe a premium is put on yds./comp and comp% no matter how many more attempts and completions and yards with less interceptions, you have.

So I was surfing the local media to see the general perceptions of Geno Smith, which is that he's been terrible, and came across a quote that struck me. From a post-game conversation with Geno:

â€œI just havenâ€™t played well,â€ Smith said. â€œI donâ€™t want to put my finger on anything [specific]. I just havenâ€™t played well. Itâ€™s been very hot and cold. Iâ€™ve got to find a way, like I said, to spark this offense, whether itâ€™s running the ball, maybe try to juke a guy, run a guy over, something to get things going.â€

So he admits he hasn't played well but then his solution is to run the ball and "juke" or "run a guy over"? He should point out the two key areas a quarterback is responsible for, which are also his main struggles, throwing the ball to pick up first downs and limiting turnovers. Instead he answers as a running back would, confirming what we have theorized for years. That a black quarterback's natural instincts are to run when things go off the rail. The quarterback I'd want leading my team would talk about working on his throwing accuracy, timing with the receivers, improving his knowledge of the playbook, etc. Also, Smiff must think highly of his running skills which shows he's delusional. He's neither fast nor powerful. So he's kidding himself if he thinks he can Vick, Griffin or Pryor his way to some success.

I'm starting to think Geno is mentally retarded.

That is the most revealing quote I have seen in a long time. Nothing about getting the team into the right play at the line, nothing about decision making, or accuracy, or communication with receivers, or footwork; his whole solution involves tuck it (maybe) and take off running. Yet teams supposedly interview these players extensively before drafting them. Yeah, right. The Jets deserve him.

What's interesting about Geno Smith is he appears to be playing worse as he plays more.

I'm not sure it's just the defenses adjusting on how to play against him.

Hey John, the balloon text read "I like to pretend there's a big "S" on my chest...." That was from a sCam interview a few years back that I thought was particularly funny. He's delusional.

The cartoon/avatar actually appeared in The Charlotte Observer last year. The Observer lampooned Newton as "Hello Kitty", instead of a Panther, because Newton was always bringing attention to himself, without getting any results team wise.

"Hello Kitty" is a brand of small girls apparel to which the Charlotte Observer was comparing Cam to instead of a Panther/Superman.

The artist and The Charlotte Observer to their credit received a lot of criticism for the lampooning of Cam, however many thought it to be an accurate comparison.
