Minnesota just traded their 18th pick in this years draft to the Houston Rockets for Chase Budinger as well as the draft rights to Lior Eliyahu, a young israeli player

So if things stay status quo for the upcoming '12-'13 season, they will have 8 white players on the roster

Kevin Love
Ricky Rubio
JJ Barea
Nikola Pekovic
Chase Budinger
Darko Milicic
Brad Miller
Luke Ridnour

Very interesting trade...the high-flying Budinger should be a nice addition w/ Love & a healthy Rubio! The T-Wolves are rivaling the old-school Celtics in the 80's...

I think Brad Miller retired at the end of this past season...

They could easily start 5 whites now:
C: Pekovic
PF: Love
SF: Budinger
RG: Rubio
SG: Ridnour

In fact all of them but Budinger did start a lot of games last season.
But Budinger needs to improve his game to make the starting line-up. His game is a bit spotty. Very athletic, but needs to develop his skills and repertoire more.
But still glad the T'Wolves picked him up.
Playing with Love and Rubio could be just what he needs.

Very good trade. Now they need to continue to develop a chemistry as a team. Rubio needs to prove he can shoot better and also stay healthy. Budinger will have to step it up but he is more than capable. Now make the playoffs and we will really have a team to be excited over. The future is bright in Minnesota!

Buddinger's averaged 9.4 ppg so far in his 3 year career, in 21 minutes per game. Getting traded to Minnesota is an opportunity for Buddinger to elevate his game much like Ryan Anderson did when he was traded to the Magic! He has potential to average 15 a game.

In my world
Last time I wore an NBA jersey was back in the late 80's, a gift my uncle brought me from the US, Boston's 33, Larry Bird's number.........it seems like 20 years plus later, I might buy me a new NBA jersey, one of Minnesota this time

Seriously now, it's really good to see that an NBA team's roster is white dominated, there's still hope even in the worse (caste wise) sporting league on the planet!

Dare I say David Kahn, president of basketball operations for the TWolves, is pro-White?

I would assume he's Jewish. While it's very rare that a Jewish owner or sports exec would not be real hostile towards white athletes (or would not be rabidly pro minority, at least), there have been some. The Celtics of the 1980's, for example, were built by a "legendary" ex-coach/GM, who was Jewish. That's probably the only reason the Marxist media did not come down hard on the Celtics for having something like 9 whites on their roster when they dominated the NBA from start to finish back in 1986.

Contrast this to what happened in 2009, when Larry Bird's Pacers got to 50% white on their roster and Jewish writer/radio host Bob Kravitz made the racial makeup of the Pacers a "big issue" because he was upset they dared to draft another white, Tyler Hansbrough. Since Kravitz dropped the hammer on Bird in 2009, I don't believe they selected another white player -- in any rounds -- fearing a backlash?

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/columnist/kravitz/2009-07-07-pacers-white-players_N.htm

I wonder if Kravitz has put new Pacers GM Donnie Walsh on notice that drafting whites is "not kosher" in his book? So if Kahn is Jewish, this is not a bad thing, as the racial makeup of the Wolves will be not be debated, like it was for the "Gentile" Larry Bird.

P.S: I believe Budinger broke into the league when Rick Adleman was coaching the Rockets. So the head coach clearly wants him, this isn't all about the GM. This could be a great trade all around, as it might allow Chase to start (or get more minutes) in Minnesota and clear the way for Chandler Parson to start full time in Houston. Rockets and Wolves are among only a handful of NBA teams I watch. I would probably watch Wolves/Rockets from beginning to end. In contrast, I did not watch even 1 minute of the NBA finals between Miami and OKC.

This trade should result in more minutes for Chandler Parsons in Houston, and a new opportunity for Budinger. Budinger's NBA career has been excruciating to follow because, despite his productivity, he only gets 20 minutes per game (see Tyler Hansbrough). Minnesota had absolute garbage at the small forward position last year, so hopefully they get rid of Martell Webster and Wayne Ellington and unleash Budinger.

Thanks for the insight. There definitely could be some validity to your theory. If that's what it takes to have a majority White team, then I'm for it.

As for the Rockets, I was just thinking the other day, after they made a trade, that they are one of the few teams worth following. The trade I'm referring to was acquiring forwards Jon Leuer and Jon Brockman from the Milwaukee Bucks. Assuming those guys aren't cut, they would have a fairly White team with Goran Dragić, Chandler Parsons and Luis Scola.

Minnesota sports writers comments on the number of whites the timberwolves have accumulated. Comments section yields the typical DWF's.

[h=2]While waiting for Gasol, Wolves draft night yields...Robbie Hummel[/h]Draft night has come and gone and the Wolves walked away Thursday without making a deal to get back into the first round or without pulling off any other deals, including one they continue to pursue to bring them Pau Gasol.
Instead, they waited all night, until the third from final pick before they took Purdue senior Robbie Hummel with the 58th pick.
David Kahn said the team contemplated making a deal to get a player they targeted late in the first round -- he wouldn't say who, but it was Duke center Miles Plumlee, who they brought to Target Center for a second workout on Tuesday -- but they didn't succeed when Indiana took him 26th.
So they waited another couple hours and took Hummel, a 6-8 shooting small forward who Kahn deemed would have been a first-round pick if his career hadn't been detoured by two torn ACLs within 10 months of each other in 2010.
If you're keeping score at home, Hummel's arrival now gives the Wolves eight white guys currently on their roster....

From what I've seen, I think Hummel is better player than Budinger.
Budinger is more athletic, but his game is incomplete. He disappears for long stretches while he is in the game. He needs to develop his skills, and not rely so much on his athletic ability.
Hummel seems to have a complete game - smart player.

I don't think they should trade for Gasol. Pekovic is just as good and far younger.

They might want to look at at another point guard like Dragic in case Rubio gets hurt again. Ridnour is getting older and more injury
prone. They are going to be a fun team to watch for years to come as long as they don't have a fire sale. I was also glad to see Plumee
go to the Pacers.

[h=3]Batum Considering Four-Year, $45-50 Million Offer From Timberwolves[/h]
Nicolas Batum is considering a four-year, $45-50 million offer from Minnesota.
Batum's agent, Bouna Ndiaye, confirmed that the Hornets and Raptors have also expressed interest in signing the 23-year-old small forward.
Batum is a restricted free agent, meaning the Blazers can match any offer made to him.

I hope Portland matches

the Timberwolves recently waived Darko Milicic. in part, the move was made because of the horrid effort and terrible inconsistency shown by the physically gifted big man. but it was also done to make salary cap space available for the offer that is on the table for negro hype job, small forward Nicolas Batum ... the T'Wolves offered $46 million over 4 years for a guy who averaged 13.9 points-per-game and 4.6 rebounds-per (both career-highs) a year ago.

jeez. the NBA is a joke.

This is unprecedented in modern NBA basketball! Not only would Kirilenko bring all around skill and defense, but also a veteran presence the team could use. Another bright spot would be the exit of turd, Wes Johnson. A starter most of last season, Johnson has been an all around bust as the #4 overall pick a few years back. The only black I can see starting would be SG Brendan Roy. However, coming back from major injury and early retirement, he seems best suited for limited minutes in a reserve role. It would not be out of the question to see this starting lineup:
PG Ricky Rubio
SG Luke Ridnour / Alexey Shved
SF Chase Budinger / Kirilenko
PF Kevin Love
C Nikola Peković

It's official. The Timberwolves are signing Kirilenko to a two year contract according to the news and I believe it has an option for a 3rd year. Man oh man am I excited about watching this team. They are going to be the funnest team in the NBA. For once we have a team to represent us and they have alot of talent. There will be alot of growin pains with so many new guys but by mid season we should see them starting to gel together. I'm really excited about the guard from Russia signing to help Rubio.

Here is another article on the trade and signing of Kirelenko. It now looks like the Timberwolves will have either 9 or 10 white guys out of 12 men on the team. Simply incredible. Haven't seen anything like this in around 5 or 6 decades! They have the best player in the NBA in Kevin Love and now alot of talent with upside surrounding him. I don't think I've looked forward to watching an NBA Team this much since the Boston Celtics of the Bird/Mchale Days.

I just wanted to add one final thought. We know that the media and some people will complain endlessly but yet they say nothing when team after team is 90-100% black. Where is the diversity there? Go Twolves!
