I'd thought I'd get the thread started because of Beau Blankenship's huge night for the Ohio Bobcats. Blankenship had 24 carries for 122 yards and 2 TDs tonight against Central Michigan! Not a bad start to the weekend. :D

Also, Danny Coale has 2 catches for 97 yards and a TD tonight for the Hokies. Chris Drager also has a 14 yard TD catch. Preston Lyons had 7 carries for Ga. Tech tonight, totaling 26 yards.

Nice start to the weekend. Harnish over 1000 yds rushing. Hopefully Klein can join him this weekend.

Was there a big reception that Coale had that was called back? for some reason I remember him making a 3rd reception that was pretty big.

They are hyping up Logan Thomas big time now, the articles about the game barely mentioned Danny Coale, the leading receiver last night.

Temple QB, Chris Coyers, only had 92 yards passing but he had a touchdown and no intos plus 97 yards rushing with a TD. He certainly is a threat with his legs.

Shame WR Cody Wilson has be out the last 2 games for CMU with a lower body injury.

Burkhead should eclipse the 1000 yard mark this weekend too.

V-Tech running all over G-Tech was just another example of Georgia blacks being overrated affletes! It was mostly Wilson that gashed G-Tech, for 169 yards as the initial reports stated, or, as his profile says, 175 yards. (http://espn.go.com/college-football/player/_/id/480218/david-wilson)

Either way, it was a season-high for him! In the obviously weak ACC, and with the no-one-can-tackle-me David Wilson, how can Logan Thomas "fail?" In the NFL, a huge STEP-UP from the ACC, it isn't that simple to win..

St. Louis has Steven Jackson, yet only one win. Minnesota has AP, yet only a couple wins. Philly has LeSean McCoy and they are 3-5.

As much as I respect Taylor Martinez hes has the passing skills of a bowling ball. Jeremy Ebert for Northwestern had a great 90 yard td catch and run.

Martinez does have to work on his passing mechanics but hes not the worse passer among running quarterbacks. It doesn't help when his receivers aren't on the same page and drop passes. It also doesn't help that they practice the run game so much he doesn't get enough reps practicing throwing. I'm not sure if he gets help outside of practice to work on the mechanics, it would improve his draft status, otherwise they will put him at wide receiver. He should have spent the offseason working on it because last year it showed that when they shut down him running they shut down the offense and had to resort to Burkhead running the wildcat. To be honest Burkhead isn't that far behind Martinez in terms of passing, but that makes me think think that Martinez has decent hands because they should have some trick plays with Martinez at WR.

Is Rex Burkhead banged up? because they haven't used him as much, coming out passing. I know he was a little nicked up after last week.

Abdullah, highly touted rb recruit stuffed on his first run.

can someone pm the northwestern game please?

Burkhead is 5 yards away from 1,000. He could have scored another td but they gave the goal line carry to Abudllah, with Burkhead making a critical mistake, by making a key block. He still has another year left with a bunch of highly touted recruits. I wonder where he would go if he came out this year? His carries would probably go down a little bit next year. He already shares carries with an option type qb, if they try and incorporate the other backs in the offense that will leave even less carries. The 3 freshman have a combined total of 70 rushes this season and it will probably only get bigger next year, 2 of them are 4 star recruits and one is a 3 star which will have fans wanting to see their "upside" . Burkhead has more talent but we seem to have had bad luck with runningbacks that have shown promise before their senior season, Jake Sharp, Joe Martinek etc.

If anyone has away to watch the Northwestern game please pm me!

Michael Companero is having a pretty good game for Wake Forest so far, with the Demon Deacons only down 7 in the 3rd Quarter.

Congrats to Rex Burkhead hitting the 1,000 yard mark! The last play Martinez option called incomplete pass was a BAD call by the refs...Rex took the lateral off the bounce and would have had at least a 10-20 yard gain...

Dual-threat QB Connor Shaw has 71 yards rushing & 2 TD's in 1st half vs the white-less Florida defense.

Georgia only starts two whites?? Wow!

yeah there was nothing but open space on that lateral. I wish I had better angles of Nebraska's game footage, I don't know how Burkhead does it, there will be such a tight crease and you think he will go down but some how he maneuvers through it, and its not always powering forward running over people, hes twisting and turning finding ways to get yards where there looks to be no space.

excellent pitch by Martinez and excellent run for a td by Burkhead. That looked like the old SMU qb Lance McIlhenny that played with Craig James and Eric ****erson, there were plays where it looked like he was down and would make a crazy pitch.

Great game by Ebert and Burkhead thus far today. This is my first time watching Ebert and he is putting on a show. Rex Burkhead is back to himself after having a rare average game last week. I have to agree with dwid and the announcers. He finds a way to explode through holes that don't even exhist! You could say that he creates his own holes. He is alot like Hillis even though he is not as big. He probably is a little faster though or at leat the same speed as Peyton. I love watching this kid. I sure hope we get to see Line and Burkhead on Sundays.

When they showed the starters for TCU, I counted 11 whites, and at least 14 for Boise State. A very white game!

Zach Line with 60 yards rushing for the first half despite Navy eating up most of the clock.

Proctor looks like he could be a great runningback in a traditional offense with the moves and speed he has.

Edit: Line over the 100 yard mark, the 15th of his career I believe.

ugh black RB for Georgia fumbles AGAIN. It's almost unbearable to watch this team waste away so many talented white skill players on their bench. What a shame, Bennet should be starting.

Well, so much for Boise State's National Championship hopes. Drew Wright looked good when he ran, but his fumble cost them...ball security is priority #1 in that situation. What a shame.

I don't know why Moore kept trying to go deep with every pass during that last drive. There was still plenty of time remaining and they were already in TCU's territory. They could've easily scored a TD with some more high-percentage passes and still have time left on the clock.

They probably would've been railroaded by the PTB anyway for a chance at playing in the National Championship game even if they would've gone undefeated. I hope this loss pisses them off and they crush whoever their bowl opponent is.

I'm sure the girls over at BSPN are just giddy and prancing around just about now.
