The Big Ten has a huge infatuation with black QBs. I'm pretty sure every single team has at least one black QB on their two-deep depth chart besides Iowa and Michigan State.

Wyoming crushes the UNLV Black Rebels, 41-14.

Shoemaker has 9 rec for 180 yards and 2 TDs through the 3rd QTR. Would be nice to see him go above 200 yards but Boise State is already up 49-13 and the 2nd string QB is now in for them so they'll probably just grind it out on the ground from here on out.

Wow, I noticed Aburn's been using senior WR Jay Wisner a lot tonight. He's been in on almost every play from what I've seen.

Maryland up 38-27 on Clemson in the 3rd. Maryland started dual-threat QB C.J. Brown for this game and he has given the Clemson defense fits all night (including 15 rushes for 140 yards):

Drew Wright was the second leading rusher for Boise St today with 16 rushes for 79 yards.

Florida's quarterbacks are all terrible, I think when Brantley returns he'll be treated with a lot more respect.

great day for Ryan Tanhill 25/37 415 yards 6td 1 int, also 5 carries for 55 yards. Tanhill reminds me of Aaron Rogers. also Collin Klein's having a good day 12/18 for 140 passing and 21 carries for 101 yards and 3 td.

You beat me to the punch on Colin Klein, Hawkeye. He led KSU in beating Texas Tech 41-34, at Texas Tech giving K-State a 6-0 record.

He finished as follows:

12 of 18 for 146 yards, 1 TD and 0 INT

23 rushes for 110 yards and 3 TDs

Just back from the Missouri vs Iowa State game, some quick observations:

- The Missouri snow-plow offensive line is very good. black quarterback Franklin had all day to throw when he went back to pass, and the holes opened for diminutive RB Henry Josey are big enough to drive a Mack truck through.


- Franklin has to be the slowest dual-threat QB on the planet. The reason he gets yards is toughness and see above. On the pick-6 he threw to I-State LB A.J. Klein (white), he had a running start to catch Klein, but Klein blew past him like he was standing still. Either that or Klein has speed to rival Chris Johnson.


- Iowa State RB Jeff Woody had a few carries and looked good, but at 6' and 230 pounds is simply a straight-ahead runner. He has great vision and accelerates through the hole very well, but it's obvious that the "white guy has to bulk up to be effective" stigma is in place here. He should be playing at his HS weight of under 215.

- Missouri receivers are largely garbage outside of T.J. Moe and mulatto Michael Egnew (who is very good, by the way).

- Defensively, Iowa State only had two players who looked like they were doing anything, A.J. Klein (above) and Jacob Lattimer. The rest, including DT Jake McDonough were simply steamrolled play after play by the Mizzou O-Line. The corners and safeties can't cover anyone. They tried to make Franklin look like a superstar but he still threw 2 picks.

- WR Josh Lenz was obviously the best WR, and the go-to guy for I-State, but, QB Steele Jantz did not look ready for prime-time as he was wildly inaccurate, so no I-State receivers were going to catch much. RG Hayward Hicks is simply a revolving door and let anybody willing to rush to simply run into the State backfield.

- WR T.J. Moe is the real deal, but we already knew that.

- Mizzou defense played well overall. Will Ebner's replacement, Luke Lambert was very solid and all over the field. CB-PR E.J. Gaines (black) was outstanding, gotta give credit where it's due.

Stanford TE Coby Fleener had 4 recs for 129 yards and 1TD, but left the game with an undisclosed injury.

Logan Thomas is very slow. But he's very heavy, so he can shrug off a weak tackle attempt.

In other news, Oregon used the Lonesome Polecat against Arizona State. Mussberger and Herbstreit didn't know what it was. Kelly must be getting plays off the internet now.

With Thomas out for Oregon, RS Fr. QB Bryan Bennett is in for the Ducks, and just broke off two really nice runs. Herbstreit even said Bennett was faster than Thomas.

Also I glad to see Riley Nelson helping to pull the BYU offense. Nelson went 17/27 for 217 yards, also rushed 12 times for 87 yards. This is a dramtic improvement over giant disappointment Jake Heaps. Heaps was rated the number one quarterback coming out of high school by rivals.com, like so many of their top prospects he became a giant bust. Like I always say good quaterbacks make there teamates look better, and bad quaterbacks make their backups look better. Right now Heaps makes Nelson look like John Elway.

Right now, Oregon's offense looks great with Bennett at the helm.

Theres no point listing Vanderbilt in these caste matchups even though they start more Whites than any other SEC team because they have an atrocious black quarterback who may be the worst player in college football.I dont think he's passed for more than 200 yards in a game and no matter how good a team is having a player like that under centre is an insurmountable disadvantage.Vanderbilts majority White d line is playing well along with LB Garnheim so its a shame to see their good work undone.

This Maryland team has a severe lack of talent, so Clemson's huge 2nd half comeback was predictable. It wasn't done so much with "system QB" Boyd, but with their running back (Ellington) who got over 200-yards on the ground, and the KR TD with a little over 7 minutes left in the 4th Quarter.

On one hand, despite losing, Maryland showed the world that this Clemson team isn't "all-time great." On the other hand, the MSM does like a game like this because they can say Clemson has "grit" and has the makings of "something special"..

Ole Miss may have lost two senior defenders to injuries during Saturday's 52-7 loss to Alabama.

Cornerback Marcus Temple fractured his right ankle in a play in the first half. A few minutes before his injury, he had made a nifty breakup of what would have been a sure touchdown pass. Temple is one of the team's captains and had intercepted two passes this season. Defensive end Wayne Dorsey had to be carted off the field after suffering a right arm fracture in the second half.
