Mike Tomlin- Lawyer?

I only caught a bit of it on ESPN this morning, but apparently Mike Tomlin was planning on going to law school, if he hadn't experienced his meteoric rise up the NFL coaching ladder.

Sorry, folks, but there are basic indicators of overall intelligence, and an ability to speak the language is one of them. Tomlin has a slight ebonics accent, and almost certainly is not capable of being admitted to any law school on merit. But then again, in Don King's America, Patrick Ewing "graduated" from Georgetown, one of the most prestigious universities in the world (albeit with that institution's one and only degree ever issed in "interior decorating"). Alan Iverson somehow passed the entrance requirements. Anyone who has heard this thug speak for thirty seconds knows how legitimate that was.

Maybe Tomlin could use his passionate interest in the law to fire up his troops before the Super Bowl. I can hear him telling fellow intellectual giants like "Fast" Willie Parker and Santonio Holmes, "If we win the Bowl, you must enroll," in the finest tradition of fellow legal eminence Johnnie Cochran. We can certainly imagine how the portly black pigs on the team could intimidate a jury with their affletic presence.

Tomlin, like any other black in America today, merely had to stay out of prison in order to guarantee success. Affirmative Action guided him to the top of the NFL coaching ranks in record time, much as it would have guided him through a law school he couldn't possibly pass with his own devices. Tomlin the lawyer wouldn't be that much more ridiculous than Tomlin the coach. Edited by: bigunreal

Check out the link I posted on the Atlanta Falcons forum the other day, bigunreal. It's a PDF file of a handwritten exam from Michael Vick. The guy is obviously retarded...I'm seriously angry that many intelligent people I've met can't afford college, yet this moron gets in (and out!).

Part of Vince Lombatdi's legend was that he had graduated Fordham Law School but had gone into teaching and coaching for the love of it. Many people believed this during his Packer days. In fact, after getting an undergraduate degree from Fordham, Lombardi attended Fordham Law School for a year. He then dropped out and got a job at a New Jersey high school. Lombardi became a high school teacher and athletic coach because he didn't do well enough at law school. Today's biographies of Vince Lombardi that you find on the internet will say that he "attended night class at Fordham Law School for a year." They don't say why he stopped attending them. If Lombardi had graduated from Fordham Law, he would not have been a high school teacher and coach. Nor would he have ever been an NFL coach.

One of the things I liked about law school is that all exams were done in a "color blind" manner -- individuals were identified only as numbers so the professor had no idea of the race of the author of the exam he was grading.


My first year law school class was about 10 percent black thanks to affirmative action admission practices -- but every single one of themexcept one flunked out thanks to color blind grading. Tomlin wouldn't have stood a chance.

And Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt,who is a graduate of The Richmond Academy,and holds a degree in civil engineering from Georgia Tech,is passed over for the coaching job in Pittsburgh,due to the poisonous affirmative action rules that are in place in Don Kings America today.

Wow, that's nothing to spit at. These policies are too much to handle.

Mike Tomlin won with Bill Cowher's players.

In Tomlin's first 2 drafts, only the 2007 #2 and #3 choices, LaMarr Woodley and Matt Spaeth respectively, have done a damn thing. The 2008 draft looks terrible thus far. The only standout rookie this season was white LB Patrick Bailey, who was the team's newest White Special Teams Demon.

If they don't draft better in 2009, things could get bad quickly for the team in 2010 and beyond.

The Steelers won the Super Bowl this year in spite of an offensive line that had poor play from the black sumos at guard and tackle for most of the season. The team will not be able to get away with this next season, nor will it be able to continue to get the job done at such a high level with all the pressure on Big Ben. They also need a return to more plays with an effective lead fullback.

It would be just fine with me if Mike Tomlin took advantage of all the cash the Steelers have doled out to him and pursue his life-long ambition of going to law school-the sooner the better.

Mike Tomlin is only halfway through his 4-year contract, and has shown little ability to draft and develop his own players, yet he's set to get an extension on his contract before next season starts that should more than double his annual $2.5 million salary.

Just what we need, Tomlin's poor drafting for more than 2 more years. This guys can't draft or develop his own players. I've been telling everyone that Tomlin just won the superbowl with core team from superbowl XL, along with Woodly and Spaeth.

I hope this lack of drafting good players blows up in Tomlin's face.

I agree Van, it shouldn't affect the team much next year, but when Cowhers players start to leave, the team starts to go down the drain. Tomlin makes Cowher almost seem white friendly.

I'm not sure how much input Tomlin has when it comes to the draft. That issue between head coach and general manager ended up being a power struggle between Cowher and Tom Donohueseveral years back.At the time most people thought Dan Rooney would side withDonohue and fire Cowher, butDonohue was canned andreplaced by Kevin Colbert as GM. I think Colbert has the final say on the team's draft choices, and so can take "credit" for the team's increasingly coal black make-up.

Mike Tomlin has received a contract extension through 2014. As with the failed Kordell Stewart experiment, the Steelers will keep Tomlin around at least a few more seasons to prove that he really isn't much of a coach.

We all know he's won with talent mainly accumulated by Cowher, but since he's black and teams were supposedly looking for "the next Mike Tomlin" after the Super Bowl win a couple years ago, it wouldn't do to put such a remarkably talented guy out on the market after the upcoming season, and it would probably be viewed as racist anyway by the Jesse Jacksons, Al Sharptons, NBPP members, NAACP and all the rest.

The Steelers will be a poor team after another season or two, but the Rooneys and their DWFs will continue to glorify the accomplishments of Tomlin and his horde of affletes til the bitter end.

A few more bad seasons and even the Steelers' DWFs will turn on Tomlin. After all, the lives of most of them are centered year-round on the "Stillers" -- if the team sinks far enough they'll get mad. Not that they'll suddently notice the Caste System or any other part of the Matrix they live in, but they will get mad.

I think there is a chance they will be pretty bad this year, Don.

The O-Line is not good and they've done virtually nothing to improve it except hold onto the same sumo rejects the past couple years and draft a new one at #1 this year who is supposed to save the day.

The WR corps is aging at a few spots on the roster and there are question marks elsewhere.

I don't think Rashard Mendenhall is anything other than a decent back.

I have my doubts about Big Ben's return to the team being anything other than him playing to be a big-time trade piece before next year's draft, enabling Tomlin and Colbert to entrench any one of their many black QBs at the position for years to come.

The D-line is getting old but Tomlin/Colbert can't wait to bring in even more black suspects to replace Smith, Hoke, and Keisel.

All the team ever seems to do is draft more LBs.

The secondary without a healthy, dominant Troy Polamalu is mediocre at best.

The fans will get mad, as you say, and eventually want Tomlin et al. out of town, but in their inebriated state it will take a few more years til they get to that point.
