As usual I can't wait until Saturday. Some important games but nothing that truly stands out. Penn State at Iowa offers some intrigue with a nighttime spotlight. Would like to see WR Matt VandeBerg break out along with Nick Easley. VandeBerg has shown up on a couple of draft boards so it is essential he starts getting more involved albeit the Iowa offense is very run oriented. Not sure Penn State is the team he will "break out" with but worth watching on a few levels.
Speaking of WR's, and as a WR FIEND, I refer members over to the 2017 Wide Receivers thread and a post by JC this past Sunday. I give it an A + grade and it got me thinking. So I scrambled to locate my Caste Football Rules and Regulations companion paperback and there it was on page 37 under article 14. "If a member does a bang up job on a topic that requires a weekly post he or she is OBLIGATED and REQUIRED to perform that duty until the end of the season." So what can I say it says it right there in the rule book as plain as day. JC it looks like you are going to have to continue each week with a WR roundup. LOL.

I'm hoping Michigan State beats ND and that ND black quarterback Wimbush gets stuffed by the MSU defense. Iowa loses one White starter on defense as starting FS Gervase loses his starting spot.

Also, "breaking news", as Nebraska fires AD Shawn Eichorst.

Some games I am looking forward to. This weekend has some good games that could really shape the rest of the 2017 season as most teams reach the quarter point of the year:

Texas Tech vs. Houston - Nic Shimonek vs. Kyle Allen in what should be a very underrated QB battle.

Ohio vs. Eastern Michigan - probably the most palatable game of the season as two teams with white running RBs, white Wrs and white DBs face off. I hope Oulette can get back on track for a 1000 yard season and Ellis continues his strong CB play.

USC vs. Cal - Darnold is quickly rising to become the top college player in football. Cal has RB Patrick Laird who has gotten off to a solid start - pulling for USC in this game but it should a good game all around,

TCU vs. Oklahoma St. - Mason Rudolph leads his team against a very caste TCU program. Rudolph has been the most dominant and consistent Big 5 QB in during the first three weeks of the season yet many view him as a mid round prospect at best which is a joke. They question his arm strength and accuracy and I have to wonder if they are really watching the same player I am.

Toledo vs. Miami - Toledo has the superior QB and playrmaker at WR in this game. If Toledo wins this should put them in the top 25 and garner some attention for both QB Logan Woodside and WR Cody Thompson.

Mississippi St. vs. Georgia - can Nick Fitzgerald keep up his strong start to the season? His name is slowly accruing draft buzz. He plays somewhat like a Tim Tebow with a more polished throwing motion,

Penn St. vs. Iowa - should be a highly entertaining prime time game. I hope Iowa pulls it out, Stanley looks pretty solid at QB but McSorley is leading the Big 10s best offense. This game is must see.

Notre Dame vs. Michigan St. - go Sparty...enough said

Hawaii vs. Wyoming - Josh Allen's draft stock revival starts with this game, if he does not have a good bounce back after a bad game against Oregon his stock will start to the fall.

UCLA vs. Stanford - Rosen against a solid Stanford defense that continues to have questions on offense. Will Shaw open up the offense at all and get Irwin more receptions as well as getting the TEs involved in the passing game?

Also Purdue has a good chance to defeat Michigan this week and Vanderbilt should be able to keep it interesting against Alabama.

Virginia just walloped Boise State at Boise State, 42-23. It was a pleasant surprise, especially after I watched Indiana manhandle them at Virginia a couple of weeks ago. They looked lousy then, but are now 3-1 under Mendenhall, who has been much more White-friendly than the previous coaching regime. They looked great tonight.

Utah Strong Safety Chase Hansen with the INT!

Freshman All-America Punt Returner/WR back in 15' for Utah... Britian Covey should be returning next season after serving Mission...one of CFB's Most Dynamic players

Arizona WR Tony Ellison 30 yd TD catch & run...6 Rec for 78 yards late in the game

Benkert looked fantastic at QB - made alot of quality throws. I will be interested to see what his NFL prospects are. Boise St. is a shell of it's former self - Modster had 4 or 5 drops that I counted for a very affletic all of the sudden WR corp.

Nice to see Hansen back on the field, I hope he can get healthy (I think he has a sports hernia or something nagging like that). RichRod's blind devotion to black quarterbacks is hilarious and going to get him fired.

Shimonek dropped a perfect ball in for an easy TD and the WR just dropped it.

Looks like Max Browne has been replaced by DiNucci - disappointed but after he was replaced by Darnold and seeing him this year it's obvious he was not the 5 star QB he was ranked as coming out of high school.

Tennessee squeaks by 0-5 UMass, 17-13, at home. Butch Jones on the hot seat.

Here's a shocker:

Coltin Gerhart 22 rushes for 151 yards and a TD and 9/14 for 108 yards passing and 0TD 1INT as the starting QB for New Mexico today.

Currently tied with Tulsa in the 4th Qtr.

Rudolph with a perfect pass for the 86 yd td. I found it laughable reading this past week all of the anonymous scouts bashing him.

Great news about Coltin Gerhart. I had no idea that he played there. What a stat line!

I'm watching USC vs Cal. It's a close game in the 1st quarter. Laird has had a few carries but
hasn't been a huge factor yet! This kid is the real deal. USC has a very good defense but it's only
a matter of time before this kid breaks a few big runs. Go Cal Bears!
